Looking at shakeup, need advice

Recommended Posts

Hey!

12 team league, 6 keeper, start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, mostly TDs (4 pass, 6 rush/rec), non-ppr, some yardage bonuses...

Main players in my roster:

QB Kitna, Derek Anderson (OUCH!!!)

RB Addai, Westbrook, Slaton, Ricky, Sproles

WR RMoss, Housh, VJackson, BJohnson, Hester

Main on his roster:

QB Peyton, Favre, MRyan

RB LT2, SJackson, JStewart, Mendenhall, PThomas

WR Fitz, Calvin, DeSean

I'm 2-3, he's 3-2, and we're both looking to shake things up. He's offered LT2, Matt Ryan and a 6th rounder next year for Slaton and a 3rd...

I'm a little iffy about LT2's status with his toe, but feel better about having Sproles as a backup (since Sproles was a WW pickup, I can't trade him or protect him, per my league's rules). Slaton has looked great, but I believe he's benefitted from a favorable schedule lately, and should maybe sell high here. Am I nuts in considering this? Should I go for Steven Jackson instead - since it's a keeper, I could benefit from his services longer than LT2. And then, considering my team finally showed up this past weekend, part of wants to just stand pat...

Advice needed, please. Trade or not? Will help with yours!

To be honest, I think you would be getting the better end of the deal, although I don't think you need help at RB. You do need some help at WR though. What I think you can do is, make this trade, and then turn around and deal one of your stud RBs since you only can start 2, for a top WR or possibly a stud QB. That would be my way of thinking...a couple steps ahead. Good luck and thanks for mine.

So would it be better if I tried to make him throw in DeSean Jackson? Or should I up the ante by giving up Moss and asking for Fitz or Calvin in return?

I agree with the others. Take the deal and then try to parlay into another position you need. Though it does stink to lose Slaton as a possible keeper. He's got a bright future. I'd say you might even deal LT2. He's nearing the end of his lifespan.

Thanks for mine!

I'd take the deal then see if you could get a QB for one of your RBs.

But I'm getting Matt Ryan. Not enough? Should I switch to Favre?
