Rd 1 playoffs vs Father in law a little help

The first round of the playoffs is upon me and I am facing my father in law for ultimate year long bragging rights. I was feeling really good until I saw my Mathups and injury reports. It is a ppr with 5pt bonus at 5 receptions. RB's and TE's get 2ppr but no bonus

 

My Team

QB-Romo

RB- Rice, C. Johnson

WR- Austin, Nicks, Marshall

D- Denver

K- Gostowski

 

Now C. Johnson is on injury report and Austin is against asmumough and Nicks is on revis. I plan on starting D. Thomas(Den WR) in place of C. Johnson and I have Heyward-Bey and Torrey Smith on my bench, would you play either of them in place of Nicks/Austin or both

 

 

My father in law is playing

RB-Benson

WR- Gaffney, AJ Green, Julio Jones,

TE Jimmy Ghram

D- Seattle

K- Bailey

Everything looks good to me but I can say this (as a Nicks owner) if I owned Thomas, I would have no problem at all playing him over Nicks today.

 

 

So the match up with you FIL comes down to Thomas v.s. AJ Green. The other guys cancel out almost so you are going to have one heck of a roller coaster Christmas ever day Trans Am.

Thing is I was going to play Thomas over Chris Johnson because I am worried about his ankle injury. We only have to start 1 RB in our league

I'd plug Thomas in like you were going to and roll! The other guys on the bench have bad matchups too so I wouldn't plug them in over you studs with bad matchups also. Thanks with answering mine.
