The Thank You Michael Vick Thread!

Amen! Thanks for the amazing win, Vick!

A Monday Night What you need thread

Haha, same here, didn't bother posting I was down by 51 with Vick and Maclin to go. Opponent has PHI Defense so I'm still down by 4. As long as Vick plays at least the 3rd quarter I think I can take this. I'd feel more comfortable if the skins could score a TD before the half. Man... Turner, Garcon, and a bunch of other sub par performances, didn't think I had a shot. VICK GOD

    Michael Vick is a beast!

Damn... I was down by 50 points heading into tonight, got Vick and Maclin. My opponent has PHI Defense, so it's still an uphill climb, but now I'm only down 10 points and it's still in the first half. Hopefully the skins can score some so they don't pull Vick too quickly in the second half :| I love you Vick <3

    **Official Week 10 F.U. thread......

Turner Garcon and Tamme (figures the first time I start 2 Colts Peyton only throw for 185 and 0 TD) Foster for not outscoring my opponent's Andre Johnson I'll need a big game from Vick + Maclin tomorrow

Big Trade! How did I do?

Yeah, good trade for you. I like Vick going forward and would personally start him over Orton most of the weeks. You upgrade your RB2 by a good margin and are only giving up imo your backup QB. I made a similar trade in my league. I have Vick and Flacco, and was offered Randy Moss for Flacco. I don't necessarily need Moss, but if he somehow does start producing in TEN then it's good for me and I really haven't lost anything on my end.

    please pick one wr

I agree, go with Marshall. Unless DJax gets another concussion you can't expect solid numbers for Maclin, although he may find the endzone, but most likely 40-50 yards. The Jets offense has looked pretty awful for a good portion of the season, and @ CLE really isn't the best matchup with Mangenius going against his old team. I don't think it will be a shootout in Miami, but I do have a feeling that the fins will be playing from behind, so Marshall has a good chance for garbage points.
  7. Standard scoring, no ppr, 10 team. My team: QB - Vick, Flacco RB - Foster, Turner, Best, DWill WR - Fitz, Maclin, Welker, Garcon, Floyd TE - Witten, Tamme A kicker and Defense I'm 7-2 and #1 in the league by a game. I'm trying to get my team ready for the playoffs and unfortunately my WR core is a bit of a mess at the moment. I can't play Welker at this point and I doubt that will change the rest of the year. Floyd will hopefully be coming back, but I'm not sure how much value he'll have going forward once VJax returns. Garcon is a bit of a risky play, stud or dud numbers each week and I could use more consistency (WR consistency, yeah I know...) Anyhow, I'm looking to get a WR along the lines of Roddy White, DJax, or perhaps Jennings. The DJax owner offered me Randy Moss and Fitzpatrick for Flacco (meh) so I countered with Flacco + Maclin for DJax, but he rejected without a counter or reason :/ Ideally I'd like to package a TE + WR or QB (or DWill if anyone wants ), but I'm not quite sure who to target. I really wanted that Vick - DJax hookup, so perhaps I'll try again, but are there any other WRs I should be targeting that would be top 10 the rest of the season? Thanks for reading, any insight/criticisms/etc are welcome. Will respond to yours

    Wes Welker

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I had high hopes for him after the first couple of weeks, but now I'm trying to package him with Tamme for an upgrade at WR if that's even possible. I don't think I'll be dropping him, mainly because I don't think there's an upgrade on waivers atm, but I will be benching him next week even though I'm still a bit weak at WR: Fitz, Maclin, Garcon, Floyd, Welker.

    Official Week 8 T.Y thread

Fitz for actually producing! I'll take those couple of garbage catches at the end of the game too. Now I only have to worry about whether I need to bench Welker or not. Tampa Defense! Max Hall is my hero <3

    Romo Out with Fractured Clavicle

Fractured left clavicle, will not return, ouch :x
  11. PorscheT1

    Been hesitant to do this

Standard yahoo scoring, no ppr. Pick 2 RBs: Turner, Foster, Best, DWill Pick 3 WRs: Fitzgerald, Welker, Maclin, Floyd Thanks
  12. 10 teams, non ppr QB: Vick (drafted Kolb, plan on waiving him) RB: Turner, DeAngelo Williams, Arian Foster, Jahvid Best WR: Larry Fitz, Wes Welker, Maclin, Floyd, Eddie Royal, Breaston TE: Witten DEF: Cincy (been playing matchups each week) I think I'm pretty deep at RB (had Foster on bench week 1, Best week 2 ) so I'm planning on trading one of them (at this point I don't really care which) and my WR3 for a WR1. I was looking at targetting a QB, but with the news that Vick will be the starter this week and most likely going forward I'm pretty content with that. Out of all the teams in my league there's about 2-3 that are really hurting at RB. Unfortunately only 1 of the teams has a WR that I would actually want. His team is as follows: QB: Drew Brees RB: Jonathan Stewart, Shonn Greene, Marion Barber, Tomlinson WR: Jennings, Colston, Santana Moss, Braylon Edwards, Anthony Gonzalez TE: Vernon Davis DEF: PIT I'd like to target Jennings, but I feel that giving up one of my RB's (besides DWill) for Jennings is a bit too much. If I can get away with trading DWill since he has the handcuff already then that would be great, but I doubt it with the numbers DWill has put up so far. I'm wondering if I should try a bigger package along the lines of this: Offering: Vick, Maclin, Best Receiving: Brees, Jennings, and maybe one of his bench RBs (not too concerned with it) Would this be a good offer to make and do you think the other guy would take it? Am I giving Vick too much value? Do you see any other trade avenues I might go after instead? Thanks for reading, will respond to yours

Looking for WR trades but not sure who

I agree with Pavlov, wait a week for Flacco to hopefully put up some solid numbers against Cleveland. A bundle with Flacco and Addai or Knox for Welker would be great. Nice team overall btw. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=371115

    dealing for a qb

I'd go with scenario #1, get McNabb. I think getting him for Floyd is a pretty good deal. Although it's still not certain how the VJax situation will turn out, if he does stay with the Chargers then Floyd's value will drop a bit week 7. I have Floyd on my roster and I'm still not sold on him. I also like McNabb's matchup against the Rams this week, so pull the trigger. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=371115
  15. PorscheT1

    Bernard Scott or Jason Snelling

I'm a fellow Turner owner and I picked up Snelling today. I think Snelling would be the more important handcuff to have, especially with Norwood out as well.
  16. PorscheT1

    Who would you rather have?

I wouldn't throw away Harrison just yet. Hopefully the CLE coaching staff will come to their senses and give him more touches as they go forward. He can be a serviceable RB2 if the matchup is right. I'm not a huge fan of Felix Jones, but I probably wouldn't waive him for a WR5 either. Your WRs are solid, and unless you have conflicting byes you should be set. If you do want that extra WR though I would probably drop Jones and pick up Walter.
  17. PorscheT1

should i even be thinking about this trade

I agree with GMEN, your RB corps isn't that bad and I honestly don't see Ronnie Brown as much of an upgrade or an upgrade at all over the guys you already have. I'd rather have Jackson, DWill and Portis starting over Brown right now, and LT2 is creeping up there as well. DWill will turn it on at some point (hopefully sooner rather than later, he's on my team too). If you really want to upgrade at RB I would try offering AJ and one of your RB's for a RB like Foster, Best, or even Gore if you can manage. I think the WR position is pretty deep this year as far as waivers go, so you can probably pick up a decent WR3.
  18. PorscheT1

    Jahvid Best Watch

I started him last week over Foster, and this week I benched him and Foster for Turner and DWill. The Turner game was just unlucky with the injury, but DWill is a disappointment. I'll be starting Best or Foster over DWill from now on.
  19. So I made a bad move last week and started Best over Foster which cost me the game. I'm not considering Best this week, so it boils down to Turner, DWill, and Foster. Standard scoring, no ppr. Matchups are pretty good for each RB, with Foster having the toughest matchup imo, although not too tough. I really like DWill at home vs TB. Turner at home vs ARI is solid as well. Will I be making the same mistake as last week if I bench Foster again? :x

    E. Royal

I drafted Royal in the last round, figured he'd put up some good numbers. I don't know if I'll ever start him, but maybe I can shop him in a package if he has a couple more good games.
  21. I've been going back and forth on these RB's. Turner DWill Foster Best Need to play 2 of them. At first glance it seems like Turner and DWill would be the obvious choices, but I think Foster has the best matchup this week. Turner might struggle @ Pitt, but do I bench my #1 pick? DWill's matchup isn't idea but he should put up decent numbers. Now for WRs Fitzgerald (starting) Welker Floyd Maclin I'm leaning toward Fitz, Welker and Floyd. Should I reconsider putting Maclin in there for any reason? I've also got Eddie Royal although I think that's a bit of a stretch.
  22. PorscheT1

Just drafted, 10-team PPR $200 cap

I'm not too sure about Charles either, hopefully he'll stay the feature back, but even if he splits time he's still a solid RB2. Your RB depth is good overall, so not a big deal if Jones starts to take over in KC. WR3 is a bit iffy, but most of them have a lot of upside. I think even Cotchery could have a big year. Oh, and I agree with Boilermaker, nice buy on Thomas.
  23. 1. (5) Michael Turner 2. (16) DeAngelo Williams 3. (25) Larry Fitzgerald 4. (36) Jahvid Best 5. (45) Wes Welker 6. (56) Arian Foster 7. (65) Malcom Floyd 8. (76) Jason Witten 9. (85) Kevin Kolb 10. (96) Jeremy Maclin 11. (105) Eddie Royal 12. (116) Steve Breaston 13. (125) Kevin Walter 14. (136) Arizona 15. (145) John Kasay QB - Kevin Kolb RB - Michael Turner, DeAngelo Williams, Jahvid Best, Arian Foster WR - Larry Fitzgerald, Wes Welker, Malcolm Floyd, Jeremy Maclin, Steve Breaston, Kevin Walter TE - Jason Witten DEF - Arizona (just playing matchups like I normally do) K - Kasay I usually like to stockpile RB's, but after getting the first 4 I feel that I'm pretty solid at the RB position, and therefore went with more WR's than I should probably have. I guess my team is pretty much going to rely on how well Kolb does this year. I planned on taking Matt Ryan but he was taken a couple picks before me (then palmer was taken as well). Should I try to package a WR and Kolb for a better QB? Thanks I'll respond to any who respond here.

    (((((CHAMPIONS THREAD))))))

Woohoo! I squeaked into the playoffs, won my first round matchup by 3 points, but took care of business in the championship game. My Team Tom Brady (I love you) Randy Moss (x2) Miles Austin (meh) Derrick Mason (eh) MJD (blah) Ahmad Bradshaw (blargh) Jermichael Finley (decent) Rob Bironas (shrug) Cincy DEF (not bad) I got a bit cute in the championship game and started Bradshaw over Addai (was afraid he'd see limited action), Reggie Bush, and Jerome Harrison (doh!). Benched Santonio Holmes in favor of Mason, ah well Opponents Team Aaron Rodgers (I woke up to see GB put up 48 points, thought I was screwed xD) Larry Fitz Ochocinco Percy Harvin Chris Johnson Mendenhall Vernon Davis (this was the scariest looking matchup imo, glad he was held in check) Tynes Minnesota DEF FF > Xmas

    How about that 49ers D/ST?

Pretty easy waiver pickup this week, glad it's paying off. I'm also glad that my opponent had the goose-egg TEN DST
