Outsiders is next on our list. It's coming through Dallas in the fall.

My wife is a real good actress, has a theater degree and taught high school theater. She had the lead female role in a play a couple of years ago and dragged me into a small part, and I loved it. Then I got a juror part in "12 Angry Men," and that led to playing the sheriff in "Misery" and played it nothing like the guy in the movie. I found this ridiculous long coat at Goodwill and gave the guy a Cajun accent. I came in from the back of the theater and had walk-up music. On opening night, just before I went up the stairs and onto the stage, I have a little hip shake, and the audience busted out laughing. After that I became the dancing sheriff, and the second night I did that, I got got a round of applause as I went back up the aisle and out the door. We somehow turned "Misery" into a dark comedy. It was great, and as word of mouth got around, shows almost sold out. The biggest challenge was what came next: the hilarious "Tuna Christmas." It's a 97-page script and only two actors, each playing 10 different characters, including women. The other actor had actual Broadway experience, so I really had to step up my game, and I held my own. Custom changes were a hugely difficult part of it, and I had everything meticulously laid out behind the partition. If either of us got stuck getting into an outfit, whoever was stuck out on stage had to kick into improv mode. I got stuck out there and just started making up sh!t and got laughs. I didn't bobble a single line during the run of shows, and the only time I focked up was on opening night and not coming out with a wig on for the final scene, but he audience thought I had done it on purpose. I was exhausted because we did a dress rehearsal earlier in the day, and the mind and body are not build to run "Tuna Christmas" twice in a day. It's focking exhausting.

The number 2 triggers you?

We saw "Hades Town" on Broadway, and that kicked ass.

Because it's a musical! I was in a comedy musical over the summer, and the songs and choreography were hilarious. "Cats" would be boring if it was just dialogue. Hell, what would "The Wizard of Oz" be without all those great songs? I have only been to one opera. It was OK, but they sings their hearts over stupid stuff like losing a shoe.

I love 'em. I've seen a lot of them, too.

I stand corrected, sir! Comforting to know of your love, caring and respect for the LGBTQ community and its accomplishments. You have seen the light! You're welcomed with open arms, brother. Hugfest!

Oh, so you thought a thoughtful, respectful discussion would ensue on a board predominantly composed of homophobes, transphobes, misogynists and racists. Yeah, some real benevolent naval contemplation up in this hizzah right now over this topic.

No doubt because LGBTQ-obsessed MAGAs are finger blasting the F5 button.

Actually, I auditioned for and got singing roles in two musicals over the summer and even had solos. So your criticism seeds will find no purchase here, son.

It's 10:04 CST, and Peefoam still sucks.

Well, you're caring about people who care about how much they don't care. Tip that, butter cup!

Says the guy who spends his richy-rich retirement hanging out on a predominately male, low-rent, lightly trafficked message board. But beat your chest and gnaw on a fried turkey leg if that makes you feel more secure about your sexuality.

You should take your wife out to dinner and a play and stop worrying about my music's lack of popularity.

As I said, I don't give a rat's ass how many followers there are or listens the songs get. I think it's funny, actually. James McMurtry's Facebook page says, "Steadily Shedding Fans Since 1989," and I love that. He doesn't pander to audiences and does whatever the fock he wants. That was the whole spirit of "Shark Dance" in the first place, and my latest release of new material might be my best. After that, I gave my son a bunch of ancient cassette tapes to digitize, and one of them of mainly me and an acoustic guitar - made for my dad - sounded so stripped down and low-fi that I had my son throw that up there as well.

I don't care if anyone listens to it. The stuff on Spotify gets more listens. I'm glad it's preserved so I don't lose any of it. I stopped recording for a bit after cats broke into my recording space and peed on my multitrack recorder, ruining it. Maybe they'd had enough.

Over 17 million people in the United States work in the health-care industry. It's the country's largest employment sector. About 1.6 million work in the nursing home industry, and about 500,000 work in assisted living. There are about 1.2 million million living in nursing homes, and about 800,000 live in assisted living. Add that add that up to about 21 million. Weeeeeeee!!!! -
They support whatever can further the MAGA agenda, regardless of how hypocritical, ridiculous and straight-up wrong it might be.
