Man, they used to play Rosie on the radio all the time back in the day. Classic rock radio just plays the same old crap, but back in the day it was all about album-oriented rock, which Led Zeppelin pretty much started, so radio stations were playing all kinds of non-hit stuff off albums. Those were the days. Radio is shat now. It's last gasp was alternative radio in the 1990s, but the advertising dollars dried up.

Yeah, and it went on and on, which is why I stopped posting here for like a decade. I hope cyclone's buddy gets through the season and exceeds the prognosis. Pancreatic cancer is personal to me, so I hope for the best for this guy and his family. Good to see cyclone, albeit under a crummy situation.

It was a heck of a thing. My dad died 18 months earlier from a stroke. Hurricane Ike wrecked my house, and I had to manage that and work 17 hours a day to coordinate news coverage plus take care of the family. And then two days into that mess, my mom calls to tell me she has stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and she was gone 10 days later.

Yes, prayers for this dude. My mom died of pancreatic cancer 10 DAYS after diagnosis. It was horrific and shocking how quickly the cancer spread.

Not necessarily. I have a life-insurance client who was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer more than two years ago, and he's still around. Don't let him win, and designate someone to manage his team if he dies during the season. Him competing might prop him up a bit. If he dies, then maybe think about the league making sure he wins and then donate the money to the family.

I went to go see Judas Priest in Houston in 1981, and the opening act was some band I'd never heard of called Iron Maiden. Maiden went onstage, and my buddies were smoking weed and not paying attention ... but I was. I thought they blew Priest off the stage and went out the next day and bought their first two albums. I knew they were going to be huge. Glad I got to see them with Paul D'anno.

I've never understood the hate for "Blow Up Your Video," with many calling it their worst album. Every song on there kicks ass. Their worst albums are "Fly on the Wall" and a lot of crap they put out in recent years other than their latest album.
