One of them wound up being his girlfriend's mom's house, and the girlfriend sent me a scathing message via social media, and my response was a screenshot of the judgment, which basically showed her that her boyfriend was a focking crook who ripped off a flood victim. I also posted pics of that judgment on all his Facebook business pages and sent copies of it to all his business partners. Why was I being like this? Well, in court told the judge that I had committed insurance fraud by submitting his high bid to the insurance company. The judge turned to me and asked for my response: Rusty: "First off, even if I were committing insurance fraud, how does this entitle him to keep my money? Second, he submitted two bids, one for $89,000 and another for $69,000, and both bids were submitted to the insurance company. I had no idea how much the work would wound up costing, but what I do know is that I've spent a long time trying to should a double mortgage with no rental income, and I need to get that house sold and don't want to cut any corners. Lastly, the insurance money wasn't based on his bids." At this point, I produced a 60-page report and handed it to the judge. A huge reason why I got he fock out of there was getting away from the hurricanes. Rita did about $25,000 in damages to my house, and then Ike did $40,000. I moved away from there in 2008 and could not get rid of that focking Buttmont house to save my life. After a series of tenants, most of them bad, I decided in summer 2017 when the house was vacant to suck up the good ol' double mortgage for as long as it took to sell the focker, and then two weeks away from closing, Hurricane Harvey put 58 inches of water in it, causing $125,000 in damages. The contractor I hired gutted the downstairs and installed all the electrical stuff before running off with the last draw of insurance money I'd given him to keep things going. I can't recall being any more livid in my life and set out to make that mutherfucker pay, which I did. I hunted him like an animal, and a private investigator I hired tracked him down to Odessa and served his ass in a Wal Mart parking lot. I whipped his ass in court and brought him back when he wouldn't pay. He produced a fake bank stub saying he'd paid me $5,000, and the judge busted his ass and threatened him with jail time for contempt of court. The judge ordered him to provide me with a list of all of his assets, including what he had in the bank. Through a fake social media page (he'd blocked me everywhere), I took a screen shot of a post where he said he had multiple bank accounts, none of which he'd disclosed. The lawyer sent him a letter saying, "It has come to our attention that you were not forthcoming with your list of assets." That got his attention, and he wound up paying me back $8,000, probably half of what he'd stolen, but at least I got something back. Lots of other crazy things happened along the way, but I finally got that house fixed up and sold. I lost money on it, but fock it.

And haven't in 16 years. I guess Barney Fife's investigative skills have gotten rusty in retirement.
