I lived like a mile from there in the late 1980s. I vowed to never go in there, but then one day as I drove by I saw the sign being torn down. As reporter for the Pasadena newspaper, I had to go in and find out whether the place was closing. That would have been a huge story back then. As it turns out, they were just replacing the sign, but I did buy a six pack of Gilley's beer, figuring that might be worth some money down the line if unopened. That six pack is sitting atop the fridge in my garage as we speak. Somehow over the years, all the beer inside disappeared, despite the cans never opened. I wonder how the heck that happened.

It would be all too easy to tumble into the loser pit and post so much here that I make your all-so-important Leaderboard daily, but I've got better things to do with my life, but it's nice you have that to prop up your ego in these rock-hard times, particularly on Christmas and Decemberteenth.

All I know is that being atop that leaderboard means more to Turdcore Troubadoosh than spending time with his family, particularly on Christmas and Juneteenth in December.
