This is what I don't get. Putin starts the worst war on European soil since World War II, and the Trumpkins root for Russia, an autocracy and bitter enemy, over freedom and democracy. They don't understand what would happen if Russia prevails. The free world has a responsibility to keep this kind of aggression in check, particularly since so much is at stake. Biden got us out of Afghanistan, messy in no small part due to what Trump left us with over there. Support for Ukraine has been bipartisan and doesn't make us war-mongerers. The support of the United States and other Western nations is for democracy and freedom over tyranny and unprovoked and potentially unchecked aggression by a country that wants to reassemble the Soviet Union.
