I've posted information regarding how Hitler rose to power. You should read it. I've brought up eery similtarities between Trump and MAGA actions to not only early 1930s Germany but to Hungary and late 1800s America as well. Every time I've done this, the MAGAs here quickly pivot to, "That's what the Democrats are doing," and I've thoroughly destroyed that assertion with facts that my links support. And then MAGA can't back up their claims and resort to name-calling, tired platitudes and baseless claims they get from their infotainment resources and pass around amongst themselves.

With his two recent legal losses - at the Supreme Court regarding his sentencing and at the federal district court level regarding his birthright executive order - I have hope that he can be checked and balanced, in addition to the Republicans in the House who have shown they won't always vote his way. Americans won't be as easily manipulated as Germans were in the early 1930s, and I certainly don't believe Trump has kind of ambitions that invented World War II and The Holocaust, but I certainly see a danger in this country becoming another Hungary.

You can break down the film and see the shot that hit him in the back of the head and exited out his face, and I've seen a photo of his focking face that indicates a gruesom exit wound. Fox is the country's highest-rated media entity and a mouthpiece for Trump. Zuckerberg controls Facebook, and Musk controls X. And Trump is picking former Fox personalities for his cabinet. And if you do want to blame a president, what are you going to say if and when Trump places tariffs on Mexico, Canada, China and elsewhere, and the prices of groceries, restaurant meals, vehicles, computers and myriad other goods goes through the roof? Are you going to blame him for skyrocketing prices for eggs, milk, poultry and beef if he doesn't take steps to keep this bird-flu outbreak in check? I want to make the points I want to make in one thread and not have to deal with the ongoing Trump thread diahrrea. There has been little to nothing in the way of intelligent and well-educated responses to my points. This administration represents the greatest threat to our democracy since the Civil War, and you and your ilk would like nothing more than an unbalanced, one-party system, no checks and balances to executive-branch power, censorship of media that doesn't say the kinds of things that you like, oligarchs running the country and controlling the message, and Trump as our forever president.

If you believe our executive branch should have near-absolute power and our country needs a largely one-party system, you're about as anti-American as it gets. If this is what you want, you're a fascist, plain and simple. Our founding fathers created a system of checks and balances that is in peril because Trump and his cronies studied the authoritarian playbook and taking the steps that countries such as Hungary. Whether and how Trump abuses all this power he's creating for himself is yet to be seen, and he already has launched his campaign of vindictiveness to go after his enemies.
