  1. GB may throw the ball 70% of the time all season. None of the guys have looked impressive to me. If you are desperate go ahead and give it a try. I still think Morency will end up being the starter once he is healthy. Jackson looks average.

  2. I was hoping to get some info from some Cowboys fans on the Crayton/Glenn situation. It sounds to me as if Glenn will most likely be out for the year, but he hesitated to make the call last night. His career could very well be over. That being said, is Crayton riding the hype machine or is this guy capable of replicating Glenn's numbers 1000 and 7 this year. The Cowboys have alot of offensive talent but Crayton should get his opprotunties early as now teams will focus even more on Owens and Witten. Is this guy worth a roster spot over a guy like Kevin Curtis. Is Sam Hurd going to platoon? What's the word?

  3. Hey thanks for the info. How does that relate to the battle between LenDale and Chris Brown? Or was that your "I'll show them how smart I am" post? If so you need to try again.. Thanks for playing.

On defense, the Packers didn't even dress three starters. By the second series, they had just four starters in the lineup.

In contrast, coach Jeff Fisher played his starters through the first series of the second half. The second quarter was like matching men against boys, and as expected the Packers' shock troops took their lumps.

"It's a total dropoff in the NFL from the first unit compared to the seconds," said Blake Beddingfield, the Titans' scouting coordinator. "Green Bay has an identity. It's No. 4. We're trying to build our identity."

That about sums it up. Speaks to your lack of intelligence for using a skewed game to make your argument.

  4. 12 team 2 player keeper league. Standard scoring, all td's 6 pts. Start 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 k, 1 def

I took Turner a little early probably 8.1 but didn't know if he would make it back to me at the end of the 9th. I also didn't need the 3 qb's but they were the best value on the board. I think I could use another wr and rb.

    Qb: Palmer/Romo/Hasselbeck

    Rb: LT/LJ/F. Taylor/C. Brown/Turner

    Wr: Driver/Buress/S. Moss/R. Brown/V. Davis

    K: Hanson

    Def: Dallas/GB

  5. I found it very interesting on the Hard Knocks show when LJ compared himself to Early Campbell and Jim Brown and pretty much acknowledged that with his running style he may only have 5-6 productive seasons and that breakdown is a real possibility in the future. I like it for 2 reasons, one he understands his time is now and he wants the money and he seems very focused on keeping his body in top shape and really making an impact now. I actually think missing this time will help LJ this year alot as he hasn't had to go through the daily grind of 2 a days in camp.

  6. A whole lot of discussion recently about valuting Addai into the top 3 or 5. Simply put who do you like more Addai or LJ, and why?

I have to admit I pretty torn on this question.

LJ-The guy is a beast. Even with the retirement of Roaf last year, the horrible tackle play, no wr's, and Green going down, he carried the team on his back to the playoffs carrying the ball a record amount of times and totaling close to 2200 yards and 19 td's, and finished as the #2 back in fantasy football. The line is improved and Huard and Croyle will battle it out at the qb spot. He is holding out which is a concern, but he will be the undisputed workhorse for his team and will get all the goalline carries, which is what you want in fantasy football, isn't it?

Addai-This guy is in a great situation. He finished #11 last year while sharing carries with Rhodes. Had 1400 combined yards with 8 td's (however 5 of those came in 1 game). The retirement of Glenn will hurt the Colts offense and this is a pass first team as Manning loves to call his own number at the goalline, but the scoring chances should be there for Addai and the wr's should open up the run lanes. The Colts however, will have a hug target on their backs this year, have a defense that is not that good, and play the 3rd toughest schedule vs. the run. Addai also has never carried the full load before and it is not known what he will do.

So do you take the proven workhorse stud, who is a more talented back on a team with offensive quesiton marks or the potential up and coming back who is in a better offensive situation? Does your opinion change if you play in a keeper league?

  7. 12 team league. The Gates/Watson duo was in a different league.

I hear some on keeping LJ. I think I may be falling into pre-season overanalysis but I do think Addai is the safer pick. I am going to try and trade one of them, and will see what happens.

  8. I didn't reach on Watson but had him as my #2 te behind Gates. I don't need to make the decision right now, but with LT, LJ, and Addai as potential keepers, I guess right now I see LJ as having both the higher ceiling and higher bust factor. Why take a chance?

  9. I know it's crazy but I think I am going to keep Addai and release LJ back into the draft pool. That Indy offense is too consistent. I am starting to get the same feeling about LJ as I did about Jordan last year. Football is not a 1 man game.

  10. The real question for me is who is better as a #2 back to LT. LJ could be big but Addai seems to be more consistent. Who has the better trade value? Every time I think of keeping Addai, I think back to Peyton's record breaking season when they were throwing the ball consitently on 1st and goal from the 1.

  11. Here is my situation. I am in a 12 team 2 player keeper league and have LT, LJ, and Addai. I think either of these guys is a great #2 but I am torn with keeping LJ or trying to trade him for a 4th or 5th round pick and keeping Addai.
