    WR Help! WDIS?

I'd go Branch, Johnson, and Coles or Branch, Johnson, and Crayton. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=305121

Mcgahee or Grant? Which one for week 14?

Hmmm. They're both good plays. My initial thought is to go with Grant. Who is your other starter? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=305121

    Ben Watson or Vernon Davis?

I'd say Watson. Davis hasn't done much, lately, and Minnesota is on a roll. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=305121

    Help with my RBs

Yeah, Green Bay is a tough matchup. I agree that Baltimore is ripe for a letdown game, after that NE loss. Man, this is a tough choice.

Should I sit A. Johnson for S. Holmes?

I'd go Johnson, Colston, and Welker. Johnson has a tough matchup, but he's a stud. If they happen to shut him down, so be it. Check out mine, if you have a chance: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=305121

    Frank Gore

Gore's been due for a while now, but it just doesn't happen. With the weak defenses in his division, I felt really good picking him 3rd in one of my drafts. Then, the games started. It's unbelievable how awful the 49ers offense looks this year. Gore has no room to run. He's been on my bench the last few weeks in favor of Portis and Jamal Lewis, and I that's how it will be until the end of the year.

3 WR to choose from - which would YOU do?

I agree with the consensus. Go with Chambers, Welker, and Fitzgerald.
  8. Addai is my RB1, so that's taken care of. I'm leaning toward Jordan against Denver, since this is a PPR league and Jordan doubled Portis's week 1 points. Any thoughts? Leave a link and I'll help yours.

    Waiver Wire Move

Hard to say, right now. As you said, LT and Gates are going to get a lion's share of the TDs, so I don't think he's going to put up Colston type numbers. Of course, we've only had one week to determine things. Gotta go with your gut.

Remind me again why Lee Evans is a stud

Had him last year, and it was the same thing. 15 yards one week, 150 yards and a TD the next week. It was maddening.

Betts "likely" to get more carries than Portis

We'll just have to see. I've got Portis in both of my fantasy leagues and he's starting in both. I think he's going to get the ball. The regular season is what these guys live for. Unless his knee really is bad, I believe he'll get his carries. Only 30 minutes until kickoff.

Thoughts on Portis for the first week

Same here. I've got him in both of my leagues, so I'm hoping he's going to be a 3rd round steal.

    Anyone starting Portis week 1?

I've got Portis in as my RB2 along with Addai. I also have Jamal Lewis and LaMont Jordan as viable backups, so I can swap him out, if need be. I'm definitely keeping an eye on his status.

Would you take Portis as your #2 RB?

I got Portis at 3.9, in a 12 team league to pair with Addai. I also nabbed Jamal Lewis and LaMont Jordan as backups, so I'm happy with my RBs (someone else got Betts). I have a feeling that he's playing possum a bit and will bust out, once the season starts.

    Portis and Betts

I had one of my drafts today and took Portis at 3.9 (12-team league). Betts ended up going at the top of the 9th or 11th round.
  16. I'm in the same boat. Picking 9 out of 12 in my draft this Sunday and can go a million different ways on the turn. I'm seriously considering Steve Smith, here. I'm really high on him this season and think he's going to put up the best WR stats. I head is telling me to go with another RB, though. I think it depends on which RBs make it back around. My league is PPR, 1 point per 10 yds rushing/receiving.
  17. Being a Giants fan, I'm glad that they're not spouting off. We crapped the bed the last 8 games of the season and are fortunate to be in the playoffs. I'm hoping this quiet time means that they are focusing and will put forth a strong effort in this game. Frankly, I'm not expecting a win, since the Eagles are firing on all cylinders right now. However, if we can get some breaks. A turnover or two. Who knows?
  18. God bless, omarkal. Fight it with all you've got!!
  19. The Eagles are red hot right now, so it'll take a herculean effort from my Giants to win this game. On defense, they must get to Garcia. The Eagles have a lot of options in the passing game and if they allow Garcia to rollout and make throws, they won't be able to get the Eagles offense off the field. If the Eagles get up big, it'll be over. They will NOT let us make a come back, like we did in week 3. On offense, Eli has to step up and we need some creative playcalling. Run-run-pass, is not going to get it done. The Eagles will probably load the box early, so I'm hoping the Giants spread them out 3 or 4 wide and utilize the short passing game. Get some screen passes going. This will help set up the run, later on. I'm hoping for a good, hard fought game. Even if we lose, I want to see some heart out there. The last playoff game was a disaster. Don't want to see a repeat of that performance.

    Manning to Marvin

I had a 36 point lead against the Harrison owner going into tonight, and the lead has now been cut to 19 points. I hate sweating out MNF games.

    Madden 08 Cover Poll

If it's LT, I feel sorry for everyone with the #1 pick in their fantasy drafts. SA has killed many a team, this year.

The "I am about to face LT in the playoffs" thread

I'm in 2 leagues this year. In one league, I have LT and he carried me to a 1st round playoff bye. In the other league, I beat the LT team by 8 points.
  23. Starting Leinart over Rivers.

NY Giants @ Dallas - MNF Thread

Giants fan, here. It's hard for me to put a finger on this game. Both teams have shown flashes of greatness and ineptitude. The Giants have some momentum coming off of the Atlanta win. Of course, Dallas has some too, with TO's first big game against Houston. The keys for the Giants: If Tiki is running well, the offense will do just fine. On D, everyone knows you have to pressure Bledsoe. Get him to make some bad throws and hopefully those become turnovers. Can't wait to watch this one.

thanks MNF for starting a half earlier this year

Yes, this is much better. Yesterday's game was done by 11:30 PM.
