So is McFadden officially a bust then?

Well I went ahead and dumped him for Ryan Torain after I posted this. I really only need a RB with some upside since I have Portis and Forte on that team as my starters but I know McFadden is going to BLOW up now that I dumped him@!!!!!
  2. $500 12 team PPR league on masters. I'm 2nd in division at 5-3 and playing the first place team at 6-2. Basically I NEED the win this week for a shot at first rd. bye in playoffs. QB: Peyton vs. Pats Garcia @ Chiefs RB: (start 2) MB3 @ Giants C. Johnson vs. Packers Turner @ Raiders (I also have Kolby Smith and Torain but neither is startable to me.) WR: (start 2) Avery vs. Cards Bowe vs. Buccs Harrison vs. Pats Cotchery @ Bills Leave a link and I'll answer yours. Thanks!

    Gearing UP Team for PLAYOFFS!

I like the team but I think you should do what I'm trying to do right now and trade MB3. Look at his schedule coming up especially in the playoffs! @Giants bye @ Redskins 49ers Seahawks @ Steelers (playoffs) Giants (playoffs) Ravens (playoffs)

    Trade TO for Marshall?

Thanks for answering my post. First off I doubt anyone would take TO for Marshall at this point. If you can find someone that will - I'd jump all over that! I also don't think anyone would take the 2nd offer either. How good is Parker's knee? Deuce with the diuretics? Once again TO's situation in Dallas? You're offering some pretty shaky players with a lot of question marks and inconsistent to say the least for some solid players that are performing every week. With that said, it won't hurt to try those trades and see if someone will take them. You'd be getting the better end of the deal in both of them though if either were accepted.

    Slaton/Jennings for ADP

The trade kind of depends on whether you think you're a lock to make the playoffs right now. Assuming your playoffs start in week 14- AP has some tough matchups between now and then but his matchups in the playoffs are like a ff owners wet dream! Minny's schedule: Week 10: Packers Week 11: @ Buccs Week 12: @ Jags Week 13: Bears Playoffs are Lions, Cardinals, and Falcons though which make him likely to be the clear cut #1 RB in the playoffs. Slaton has an easier schedule leading up to the playoffs as he plays the Bungles, Colts, and Browns but then it gets tougher after that. Looking at your team - I think you should have a pretty decent record though and should be able to make the playoffs and therefore I would most definitely do this deal!

    Drop Holt?

I have now picked up Avery in 4 of the 5 leagues I'm in. I started him in 2 last week and will probably be starting him in all 4 that I have him in this week at home against the Cards as I think that game will be a shootout. With that said, I'm not sure I'd dump Holt though. I still think he's going to get some decent #'s this year - kinda like Isaac Bruce always got decent #'s with Holt in his prime. Do you have anyone else to drop for Avery or is that your best option?
  7. Don't get me wrong, I think both of the Manning's are great NFL QB's but ever since the Superbowl the media has been in love with Eli and have relegated Peyton as the 2nd best Manning. Really? Until Eli can put up the consistent #'s that Peyton has through the years I don't buy it. I think with Peyton making the #1 D in the league look like the Lions last week and now Eli making the Browns look like Buddy Ryan is back - people will shut up for a while! Yeah they each have 1 superbowl win and Eli has the more recent but if Peyton was given half the D that Eli has had, the Colts would have 3 rings!
  8. I have him in 3 leagues: I'm planning on starting him in all 3 against the Chiefs over L.T. @ Buffalo, and ADP @ Chicago in 2 leagues. To me, it's an easy decision. Anyone disagree?

***Official Week 8 College Betting Thread***

I usually only bet 3 CF games a week and I still REALLY like this one. If it were at USC, I'd steer away but being at Wash St. and with me not being all that impressed with USC AT ALL - it was worth the $40 for more than a 6 TD underdog. I think I probably pi$$ed away $5 on the money line but oh well that's $150 if they can pull a Stanford or Oregon St. I do like your Ok. St. wager and was thinking of that one myself.

Is Kevin Smith even worth a pickup?

    what he said.

    Jason Witten

In the words of Howie - "You made a great deal!" That said to the OP - screw trading Witten, why not trade another one of your TE's and see what you can get? I'd look for the weakest TE team in your league and offer him Scheffler or Daniels for his #2 or 3 wideout and see what happens. For instance I now have Shiancoe and Bo Scaife in one league after (very stupidly) waiting til rd. 10 to take Crumpler and then Kevin Boss in the draft thinking one of them would pan out! I also have AJ, Jennings, Roddy, and Harrison at WR and can only start 2. If you'd offer me Scheffler for Marv right now I'd do it with the position I'm in.

So did I make a dumb move here?

I'm 6-0 now, 3 teams are 4-2, a bunch of others 3-3. Playoffs start in week 13 and I figure even if I slip a little, I'll still get a wild card with 6 out of 12 teams making the playoffs. Here is my new team then: QB - Brees, Garrard RB- SJax, Lynch, R. Brown, Slaton WR - S. Smith, DEJax, Bowe TE - V. Davis, Shockey Kicker D - Ravens Non- PPR, BIG Bonus at 300 pass yds. and 40+ play from LOC - We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 2 Flex (RB, WR,TE). I figure I can play 3 RB's every week and start either Smith or DEJax and play matchups from here on.
  13. I know people don't want their posts getting ragged on for posting on the wrong bored when they really want trade opinions. I get so tired of people secretly posting trade questions with the classic lines "Who has the better year from here on out of blank and blank?" or "What is blank's value for the rest of the season?" just so they won't get deleted. Well, knowing my post will surely be deleted and/or moved in about an hour here, I just want to know people's quick opinion on whether trading my Reggie Bush for his SJax was a bad move in a non-PPR? I don't think so with our playoffs starting in week 13 and SJax schedule is Dolphins, Cards, Seahawks, 49ers and Bush being Buccs, Falcons, Bears, Lions.

So did I make a dumb move here?

I honestly think so too as the Rams seem to be "somewhat" turning things around and with McCallister back in the mix, who knows how many touches Bush will get from here on out?
  15. So does this make Crayton completely worthless now? ( I think so although I've been hanging on to him ) Does this make anyone like McDonald or Furrey worth a roster spot especially with CJ a little banged up but with Orlovsky starting? If so which one? (I'd lean towards Furrey I guess)

***Official Week 8 College Betting Thread***

I looked into that too, but USC has also only scored over 42 pts. twice this season and I just don't think they have the offense to throw up that many points on the road to cover the spread. I'm thinking the final will be 49-7???????

***Official Week 8 College Betting Thread***

Does anyone else think that USC +42 1/2 is craziness for a conference game on the road? I think USC will win that game but by 6 TD's????? I put $40 on that. I also put a little $5 wager on the money line just for sh!ts and giggles. It'll pay $150 and given USC's history with HUGE underdogs beating them it was worth potentially throwing away a value meal at McDonald's

2 questions involving the Roy trade today.....

Well, I need to pick up someone for Crayton and not much out there right now as far as WR's. Maybe I"ll just try my luck at Rhodes even though I already have 5 startable RB's and only 3 good WR's now.
  19. Corky76

2 questions involving the Roy trade today.....

Yep. Saw it up there with 80 posts and not gonna even waste my time. Call me a bandwidth abuser but this site really doesn't seem to have that problem anymore since they've been running all of the "good" posters away.

2 questions involving the Roy trade today.....

WW - I think both of us are right in saying that Crayton is now worthless. I'm just trying to figure out who to pick up now for him and thinking one of the 2 "White guy possession WR's" will emerge but who? Furrey had like 317 catches in '06 can he return to form? McDonlad has been decent this year. Or with Orlovsky there do I just go with someone like Steve Smith of the Giants or a guy like Booby Wade or Justin Gage...... Hmmmmmmm.....

Bet You Cant Guess Who is 8th in WR Receiving Yards

To me the top 2 are the big surprises this year. Jennings and White could be had in rd. 5 and beyond in most leagues this year and they are the top 2? Crazy, but the year is still very young!

    Feeding the Pimptaddy ego

Well, since a thread was started trying to stop the postings on his topics, and if what you say about him is true, I'm sure he is sitting back and laughing right about now. I don't know who he is and I really don't care who he is which means he obviously hasn't gotten under my skin. Bottom line - by starting this post and consequently people responding I would think that all you're essentially doing is feeding his ego.

    Feeding the Pimptaddy ego

    Who the hell is Pimptaddy?
  24. Corky76

    Steve Smith or Chris Johnson

I don't really like to compare a WR to a RB as far as who is going to be better down the stretch. Why are you asking that question though? Is someone offering you a trade like CJ3 for Steve Smith or something?
