Eh, I'm not sure ASJ will lose targets when Evans gets back. He was only targeted 7 times anyway. Evans may even help create better quality targets for ASJ. Despite Winston's game being a structure fire at the sewage treatment plant there's really 2 ways it can go. 1) he gets better, creating more and better opportunities or 2) he stays the same or gets worse and it's all garbage time. We already saw that garbage time was kind to ASJ. To the original question it really depends on what you want. For consistent production I'd go with Reed. For a swing at the fences I'd go ASJ.
-
Matt Jones for dynasty and that's not close in my mind. Michael for redraft if you want to swing for the fences. Jones if you need a guy to be a solid weekly contributor.
-
PPR this year: Landry Any other situation: Cooper
-
Dorial Green-Beckham in the 15th.
-
IMO it's hard to see either guy being a bust and it wouldn't surprise me if I draft Abdullah. At their current ADP it's just more likely that Gordon is on my team than Abdullah.
-
If you have already made up your mind you'll probably read this and dismiss it because hey, what else would he say? Chargers RBs coach Ollie Wilson said Melvin Gordon's pass-protection concerns are overblown. "When he matches up, he’ll put his head in and strike somebody," Wilson said. "He’s a big-bodied guy, and he’s long, so he keeps people off of him. I don’t see what people say, that he won’t pass protect. I’ve had no problem with it."
-
I agree he won't be in on third and long but it isn't a run-run-pass on third offense. I disagree that Abdullah is obviously the more explosive back. Watch their college tape, look at their measurables, and IMO Gordon will 'more explosive' though I still think Abdullah is a great prospect as an NFL running back. I have no problem with people taking Abdullah but his situation isn't any less murky than Gordon nor do I think through the preseason thus far we can judge which will be a better NFL running back.
-
I prefer Gordon but it's close enough for a coin toss if you are undecided. I pay no attention to 6 carries for 11 yards in the first preseason game. Once San Diego opens up the passing game he's going to rip off very long runs.

He ran a 4.47 and 4.53 at his pro day. -
About time... Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Bishop Sankey will likely get more reps than he has all season against the Browns this week. "You will see (more reps for Sankey). That's coming," Whisenhunt said. "And I think you'll see more of that earlier in the game this week."
-
Hard to say. He only got 6 carries but he did a lot with them.
-
I'm going with ASJ and Sankey. Both should see increased opportunity this week - ASJ because he's finally healthy and Evans is not and Sankey because Whisenhunt needs to keep his job.
-
According to rotoworld, 7 targets and was on the field for 71 of 71 snaps...
-
I like ASJ because he's a beast and actually blocks so they can keep him on the field. Even though they all seem like pretty good options as receivers ASJ might get more opportunities due to more playing time.
-
Long term I like ASJ, for this week I like Ebron.
-
I I think he'll take over as the starter this year. He'll lose a bunch of carries to Greene but his role will definitely expand from where it is now. Whether that happens in the next couple of weeks is another matter.

Anyone else think McKinnon can steal the job this weekend?

Lol - sounds about right. -

That's the big question for me, is Asiata even capable of having the 'hot hand'. Several people on this board have said he has looked OK but there's another camp that says he's looked like a plodder. I haven't seen any Vikings games yet so I can't comment on it. -

I certainly won't hold my breath on McKinnon becoming the starter but this weekend should be interesting. If he gets an increased role he'll be the waiver wire darling for week 3. -

Not this weekend but sometime in the next few weeks. -
I'm with you on this.

Piling on, but locker without hesitation.

Wow if I had a guarantee of 8 games I'd take that in a heartbeat and feel like I just robbed the league with my 13th round pick. What other late round pick or FA pickup could deliver that kind of value?
-
Can't change the rules in the middle of the game. What you can do is use this as the reason next year the league implements a better waiver system.
