If I recall last year we cranked it up after all the teams had 3 games in so we would have a better clue as to who would be most likely starting for all the teams. I think we would all agree to do the draft near the end of August!

Hog Chow, Did you get my e-mail...making sure you knew I sent you out a response.

Hi everyone! I want everyone to know that I am looking to wheel and deal and I hope to better my team. Please send me any trade scenarios you like, I have said this before, I feel like trading (much like the NFL itself in the past 4 to 5 years) is really the only thing missing in this very unique league we have. I have dropped all my other leagues and will only play in a redraft with some local pals because I want to do better in this league than I did last year!

Are you a bald guy in a gray suit...look like a mix between Kojak and Mike Myers, loves cats and hangs around midgets...curious hahaha

Hey, I thought I sent a reply, let me look at your roster and I will e-mail you somenthing!

I appreciate the words. As I have told everyone, just keeps us in your thoughts and prayers! It is a very difficult time and I haven't really started processing my emotions on this, I have always been the type that would react down the road from such events. Again, I appreciate all the words and know that both Dan and I are strong in heart and will carry on!

To be nice about it and to spare my very own feelings, I have told myself that I must do better on the win column side this year. I cannot due much worst than the two wins I had last year. I lost 3 games (I think) by less than 8 points so I think I can at least get in the middle of the pack or maybe better if the ball bounces in the right place! I do plan on making some more trades, hopefully and get some more production from my team this year. I really like wheeling and dealing, I had a couple of other owners talking to me but I felt like the deal that Scatterjack offered was really good for me. I know he is excited about getting the first overall pick and Duce and Plax should produce this year! Know Doubt...send me an offer...you can see I need some WR help!

June 14th is best because it allows more time after June 1st cuts and also more time to work some trades!

This board format is really nice! Good job Mike!!! Looking forward to the big draft in June as well!!!

Per league rules document that was sent out a week or so back, I remember a discussion last season about possible points for shutouts! They rarely happen and I am not talking about a large amount but I think 1 or 2 points should be given to a D/ST that has a shutout. Surely a shutout is at least the equivalent of a fumble or interception. What is the opinion out there of the league? If I remember correctly, there was some in favor of giving points for a shutout. Here is the list of points for Team D according to the 2004 rules docutment. Please respond, your opinion is important! Team Defense only score in the following categories Sack = 1 pt Forced fumble = 1 pt Recovered fumble = 2 pts Interception = 2 pts Safety = 3 pts Touchdown = 4 pts Blocked punts = 2 pts Blocked kicks = 3 pts

Why I put out the amount for a shutout a 2! I put out the score for 2 points because I don't think it should be a great amount since we don't actually keep D/ST but I think that shutouts are special and deserve some type of reward. I figure 2 points would serve as a good amount since if you do have a shutout, chances are you are going to have plenty of points coming from turnovers, sacks, ect...so you are actually getting more points if you look at the overall cumulative effect for a shutout!
-
I think we need to tinker with this one item at a time. The end of the points listings in the rules has a statement that EVERYONE must agree with having a change in the values of the points which will be hard to get everyone on board with but I like the thoughts of giving out an opinion on the whole scope...kudos to you!

I know the topic line may sound like a theme for an artsy film but it is really a reminder to myself and others! (From the league rules....) 3. Fees start at $30 per team and maybe adjusted by $5 per year as the league matures and better accounts for the cost of hosting and trophies. This adjustment will be discussed and decided in January of each year. 4. The Commissioner also pays this fee. 5. The fees are dispensed only in paying for the web hosting, for purchasing of a trophy and the remaining change (minus shipping cost) will be sent to the winner to purchase beverages of choice. 6. These fees are due by May 31st of each year. These fees must be sent to the Commissioner who is responsible for paying for the web site, purchasing the trophy and mailing the proceedings to the League Winner.

If Jamal gets locked up I would be interested Seriously, I want to talk trades after the draft in April because I want to see what rookies the teams wind up with...holding the first pick overall is great trade bait. That being said, I am looking to stock up but not before the final cuts today, just putting this out for everyone to see that I am eager to hear offers...good luck finding bidders! I really miss football! wall

My thoughts are that Plaxico will have plenty of opportunities to get catches due Pittsburgh D isn't what it was and they will be tossing more...imo Also (more imo) Dallas Clark is the future for Indy at TE. Alge is a great TE but I think a healthy Vick will bring out the best in Price and Finneran...more imo for those who didn't get enough the first two times! I think this is a fair swap, both sides gave up something to get something else. (Have you seen my WR Roster...ugghhh!!!!) pointsto

I trade Alge Crumpler to RO for Plaxico Burress and Dallas Clark.
