I would do it. You still have Roddy White, Austin and Mike Thomas. If you could pick up a Jordy Nelson, if he's still on WW, you'd be in great shape. Please see my post regarding trade for Stafford.

Not sure if Kubiack was his coach but don't forget Dom Davis as well. He was a 2nd roud pick in our league in 07 or 08

Seeing as how the #1 overall ranked player rarely ends the season ranked #1, this isn't a reach or a bad call. Sure you may get some ###### from your league but i like the thinking. He won't be there in the 2nd and if you're high on him, do it. He has just as much of a chance at finishing #1 as AP.

I pick #1 in a NON ppr league and he's making himself a case.

He has always done a great job utilitzing his RB's in the passing game and this should bold well for AP. I looked at some of his passing stats from last season and he had some games where he caught 2-3 balls for 40 or 50 yards. I think that may increase a bit for AP this year. I was really on the fence on who to take #1 overall in my non ppr league and even though we don't get points for receptions, I still think his role will expand in the passing game.

Def 4th pick this year. You are locked into either AP, Foster, Rice or Charles and you get a better 2nd round pick. IMO those 4 guys could all finish #1 this year and you'll get a much better WR in 2nd round.

My redraft leagues draft isn't until Sept 6. If he signs and everything goes well is he #1? I think so due to O line and SOS. Nobody else is really jumping out to take that #1 spot.

I love Charles as well but with that schedule and that crowded backfield, I don't know.

Strengths: Drafting mid to late round QB's. i.e Carson Palmer circa 2005, Tony Romo circa 2006 etc... Also have had great luck identifying up and coming wide receivers and running backs who are 1st-3rd rounders the following year. Weaknesses: Early round RB's ALWAYS bust out on me. Not sure if thats luck or what but it always happens. All in all i really flourish in the 4th rounds and on.

Draft Bradford and Stafford in back to back late rounds, maybe 7th and 8th and you will be fine. One of them is gonna pop this year and you'll have him. If both pop, you'll have trade bait. Meanwhile you can spend rounds 1-6 drafting Rb's and Wr's while everybody else wastes early picks on Qb's. I have #1 in a redraft league. So luckily i get back to back picks on the turn. this is my plan.

For me its either Rice or Charles and I'm in a Non PPR League. I just have a bad gut feeling about Foster this year and AP will no doubt do his thing. However, i think Rice and Charles offer the most risk reward this year.

Been debating this with a few guys. Anybody think he warrants the #1 overall selection in non PPR? He finished tied with AP in my league last year despite the limited touches. I think AP will be AP. Solid and steady. I'm worried about Foster repeating and CJ has the holdout jinx going against him. I really think the argument could be made that Charles is #1.

Well last year I drafted Stafford and Kolb and picked up Vick. Won it. I won it in '07 after drafting Romo in the 5th Won it in '05 after drafting Carson Palmer in the 10th round. Won it in '08 after a clown show of Cutler, Garrard and Delehomme. TD's are 6 points in my league so its not like QB's don't matter. I've just done a good/lucky job of identifying up and coming QB's the year before they breakout. ala Romo and Palmer. Stafford was well on his way last year before the injury which is why he's my guy this year. Also this isn't a yahoo public league. Its a serious high $$ league thats been around for 11 years. I just have a formula and a little luck that works.

I've never drafted a QB before the 5th and have won my league 3 out of last 4 years. Draft Stafford and like a Bradford late this year and rack up WR's and RB's while everyone else drafts QB's early. The difference in points between Stafford (if he stays healthy) and Brees or Brady will not warrant the 6 or 7 round gap.

lets say Roddy gets you 8 pts, cause he's sucked a big fat **ck lately. so now youre up 57. you have a shot but its gonna be tough. How about me? I'm down by 16 points and have Roddy, Vick and Eagles left. He has Colston, Turner and Jimmy Graham.

thats not a veto worthy trade. the guy needs wr's obvioulsy and Charles is starting to outshine Jones.
