Does anyone think Jenkins could have a decent game? I have him as a backup to White and I'm thinking with all the attention Gonz and White will get, Jenkins could have another decent day (he's looked pretty good the last few weeks).

Anyone considering Knox if Hester is out? I think he may have a big game since Cutler loves him in the endzone. -
2007 - Larry Johnson (traded straight up for Clinton Portis a few weeks later)

With all the threads about QB's playing until the end of the season, I figured I'd start one about Warner. I remember last season Whisenhunt came out and said he wanted Warner in a rhythm for the playoffs, so he wanted to start him through week 17. We all know how well that worked out since he was stellar in the playoffs. Also, I don't think the Cards clinched as early last year as they may this year, and limped into the playoffs. Now, if the Cards beat the 49ers this weekend, they clinch the NFC West. With Warner getting banged up recently, do you think Whisenhunt rests him for more than just Week 17? Or do you think he wants to keep Warner hot going into the playoffs? Obviously this can effect some of us in FFB since he has such a stellar schedule week 15 and 16 (Det and St. Louis) My backup is Favre who may have a similar issue for the final few games, however Favre has a consecutive game streak to worry about so I'm confident he'll start, just might not finish most games. But I'd rather start Warner.

I thought about this, but you should realize that if they play Leinart, they are going to run all game. They have been determined to develop a strong ground game going forward. So if they are confident enough not to start Warner, they will be confident enough to hand the ball to Hightower and Wells all game. Leinart would be good for a few points, but definetely not worth a playoff look. I picked up Gradkowski as my 3rd stringer for the playoffs if Warner and Favre sit.

Haha, I don't mind about this week too much since I have a 1st round bye.

I am starting the Steelers D with confidence tonight for a few reasons. While the browns will probably run the ball a lot tonight because of the weather, the Steelers are the #1 rush D in the league. Even with the advantage going to the offense in bad weather, the Browns have 2 young RB's who have a chance of turning the ball over. Also, I imagine the Steelers will stack the box and force Quinn to throw. While the Steelers secondary has been awful lately, Quinn and the Browns receivers don't have the experience or skill to make big passing plays in this kind of weather. Snow is one thing, but wind is really going to hurt them. I'm not going to count on int's, but I will guarantee some fumbling tonight.

I picked up Brown last week and used him at flex. However, he will be on my bench for the playoffs. For a guy who was supposed to be "starting" last week, he got 6 carries to Moats' 12. If it wasn't for that TD, it would have been a disaster. I would stay away from Texans running backs.

I am in the exact same position as you with Palmer and Smith. I've decided to go with Smith through the playoffs because he's been looking great.

Drafted MJD in 3 out of my 4 leagues at #2, #3 and #4 spots. In my 4th league (keeper league) I traded for him before week 4

Im sure a lot of you along with me drafted the Steelers DST this season expecting big things all season long, only to be very disappointed recently. Troy P being out is definetely a big factor why they've been so mediocre recently (I hope he returns soon). After losing 3 straight (2 to bottom rung NFL teams), are they still considered a top DST in the playoffs? I want to think they should shut down the Browns well, but I thought the same thing against the Chiefs and Raiders. Then they have Green Bay and the Ravens who are a bit tougher. What does everyone think?
-
The scoring for the money league I'm in HEAVILY favors the DST's (not a big fan of this, but I had to adapt). So I wanted a DST that would rack up sacks and turnovers. I didn't pick them very high, but definetely earlier than I usually do. It's just very disappointing. I hope they can play big down the stretch both because I need them to, and they need to try and make a playoff spot. I'm not worried about this week because I have a first round bye, but I'm hoping they can capitalize on Rodgers holding the ball too long, and a recently weakened Ravens offense in the final 2 weeks of this league.

Might want to ignore those "sources" in the future

Damn, I started Favre over Warner
-
So Chris Brown is starting, and Moats has 3 carries to his 1.

The way I see it is that we'll hear news early in the morning whether or not he's likely to play. If he wakes up tomorrow feeling fine, I don't see the Cards holding him out. But the slightest issue, it will be the same deal as last week. Personally, I would just start searching his name in Google News after 12pm EST. Usually you can find some article stating an update on how he feels and what the chances are for that night. But again, if you read that he has even a headache, I wouldn't count on him playing.

For some reason, I don't believe this one bit. If Warner is healthy enough to play, he'll play regardless if they have a cushion in their division. If he's not healthy enough, they'll rest him.

I don't see why SJax's back would limit him at all. He's even openly said "I feel better than yesterday, If I don't play, I'll be more surprised than anybody." There is no reason to bench him unless news comes out that he hurt his back further. He missed every practice last week and still got 23 carries, and he's only been resting since then. -

Fitz will find a way to put up points. Keep in mind, last week was Leinart's first chance at really running the offense in over 41 games, so he wasn't exactly on the same page as Fitz even though he was targeted a lot. I have a feeling that if Leinart starts this week, he and Fitz are going to connect a lot more. They have no chance at a run game against Minny's D, and their pass coverage isn't spectacular. and I bet they will be playing from behind and Fitz will find a way to make some big plays. As for Boldin, he loves getting into the slot and lighting up defenders after the catch. I think he will get his chance this week, but the problem with Boldin is that he's hit or miss, and doesn't have the hands to haul in a bad pass like Fitz does (which may be more often with Leinart and the Minny pass rush). That being said, I would never bench Fitzgerald, and I have Boldin going in another league only because they require 3 WR's. There are a lot of options out there that may be better than Boldin this week.

Why didn't this news come out this week when all of the FFB sites said Lynch looked good to go? I benched Jackson for Wells
