    Beanie Wells...

While Hightower doesn't have a great YPC (3.3), I can't completely blame him when their offensive line is playing so poorly. Not only does this reflect in the run game, but also in the pass game. Hightower doesn't have the breakaway speed and evasiveness that Wells has, but hes a power-style running back that excels in short-yardage and goal-line situations. Both backs will play a big role in the offense once they can fix their line problems. I don't doubt Wells will take off at some point, just not this season, and especially while the offensive line is playing so badly. For his sake, he needs to have a big game or two soon to show what he can do, and I hope it comes soon because Warner needs some of the pressure off of him. But until he does, Hightower will be scoring more fantasy points through touchdowns and receptions, and this is why I don't understand how Wells was rated higher.

    Manningham or Knox

I agree, I also have a KRY league, and Knox has been stellar for me so far.

    Braylon for Anquan

It's been working beautifully for the last 2 seasons with my Warner / Fitzgerald combo. The amount that those two hook up, I'm getting double scoring every week. Even on Fitz's off weeks, he seems to still score a TD.

    Beanie Wells...

I didn't understand his hype this year at all in Fantasy leagues. Almost all of the league rankings had him higher than Hightower. Hightower started over Edge for most of last season and got almost all of the goal-line carries either way. You could tell the Cards were setting up Hightower to be the main back last year. Why did everyone believe Wells was going to come in and become a featured back over him? I know he has a lot of talent, but I figured it would take at least a season to warm him up (obviously had a fumbling problem, and can't really block). Granted, neither back is rushing well this year. At least Hightower is getting a lot of Fantasy points in PPR leagues.

You're going to get crap for posting this in here, as I did with my trade thread.

    DeAngelo Williams Trade

Looking at it right away, this seems like a steal since D. Will started the season as a #1 RB, and Sims-Walker was a #3 WR. However, obviously the tables have turned a bit. I currently have Fitzgerald, Roddy White, Knox, and Sims-Walker as my WR's. My RB's are Portis, Hightower, and J. Stewart. Obviously, I'm a bit thin at RB talent so the Trade could make sense for me. However, I'm a bit worried that D. Williams won't produce much this year, and Sims-Walker is going to continue to be a stud. The guy who wants to make the trade has AP, Turner, and D. Will as his backs (yes I know that's crazy, this is a dynasty 4 keeper league and he drafted well the last 3 seasons). TO, and Desean Jackson are his WR's, so he's thin at WR production this year. What does everyone think about this trade? Am I nuts for giving a considerably strong team in my league more depth at WR and taking a struggling RB off his hands? Or will D. Will turn it around and make this buy-low situation very worthwhile for me?

Why don't you say how you really feel,

    DeAngelo Williams Trade

Guess I was confused since almost half of the threads in this forum are team management questions / trade questions.

    DeAngelo Williams Trade

    Just wanted to hear opinions
  10. I'm thinking of making a trade for LT because I have too many decent players on my bench, and I'm a bit thin at RB talent. Currently, I have Sims-Walker, Knox, and Brent Celek (Gates is my starting TE) competing for my flex spot (PPR and KR yards league). How much is LT worth at this point? Do you think he's going to turn it around and come back from his injury to be a producer for the rest of the season? Or is he not even worth a look?

Who's the kicker in New Orleans?

Either way, Carney still has the job and he's my kicker

LT's Value - What is he worth at this point?

That's what I'm hoping to do. I'm looking to trade FOR him. However, I'm just wondering his potential down the stretch.

    Coffee or Sims-Walker

    QB Help

Favre vs. Stl or Ryan vs. SF Thanks in advance
  16. Who should I start this week at flex? Tim Hightower - Everyone has said they should bounce back this week with their run game. Hightower is always in line for goal-line carries Roddy White - Started the season as my #2 WR behind Fitzgerald, but has been dismal lately. I picked up Sims-Walker as my #2 WR this week, so I need to decide if White will bounce back enough to start him at flex. SF is a tough D though, and I'm afraid he will draw heavy coverage all game. Johnathan Stewart - Also been dismal this season, and I can't see any reason to start him over the other two unless there is something I'm missing this week Thanks in advance

    Kurt Warner

I mentioned this in another Warner thread. The cards can only try to run so much before they realize they are better as a pass-first team. Problem is, their inability to run shows how bad their offensive line has been, and this doesn't help their passing. If their O-line can pick it up (which I think they do), they will be able to run AND pass better. Warner hasn't been terrible (288 ypg average), but the line has given him barely any time to throw. Look for them to turn it around and start firing the ball a lot more. Plus, everyone has been talking about how they are trying to get their deep-passing back because it was such a weapon last year, but the Warner to Fitz connection needs to get back on point. As for your trade, it depends on your depth at RB. I don't think Brady has been as great as everyone has hoped he would be so far, but neither has Warner.

    Brett Favre

I'm debating this. Favre vs. Stl, or Ryan vs. SF?
  19. Squintz82

    Roddy White?

Interesting take. White has been dismal this year compared to last, but it doesn't seem like he's getting the passes he got last year now with Gonzalez playing. I figured that Gonz would take some coverage off of White and he might benifit from it. But this doesn't seem to be the case at all. He started the season as my #2 receiver behind Fitzgerald, but now that I have Sims-Walker, I'm definetely going to be moving him out of that slot. My problem is, I'm not sure who to start at flex now: Roddy White, Johnathan Stewart, or Tashard Choice? (PPR league)

    Trading for Larry Fitz

Couldn't have said it better myself. It seems like this each game. They go 3 and out a few times in a row trying to run the ball over an over. Finally, Whisenhunt just decides Warner should start throwing. The same thing will happen over the course of the season if they continue not to run the ball effectively. I don't understand their mentality. They were never a strong running team. Granted, they need to run somewhat to be able to open up the pass. But they got to a superbowl as a pass-first offense. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

    Mcnabb or Warner?

Warner. He's averaged 288 yards per game with at least a touchdown in each game this season, including 2 awful games. McNabb has played half of a game so far this season against the terrible Panthers, and now he's going to be coming back from missing 2 games with an injury. While I think he could be great, but I'm not sold on him yet.
  22. Squintz82

Which awful bye week QB option?

I have Warner on bye this week, and have 2 not-so-very-good options to replace him. Derek Anderson at home vs. Cinci, or Seneca Wallace at Indy. I was leaning toward Anderson because I have the Cinci D starting this week, and I figured if he screws up royally, I'll at least cancel out the negative points. However, Wallace didn't look so bad last week and I was thinking he may be a decent option. What do you all think?

Which awful bye week QB option?

Also keep in mind, Freeny and Brackett are not playing this week.

Which awful bye week QB option?

Johnson was available, but I don't see him doing much. The Bucs are going to run all day against the Skins with Haynesworth out. Also since the Skins can't score, TB will try to take an early lead and just kill the clock the rest of the game. Good point

Which awful bye week QB option?

Somehow, he'll find a way to get sacked or throw a pick in his bye week
