Are you sticking with Seattle's DEF?

Seattle crowd noise Cold with rain/snow mix Marshawn gashing NO DEF and keeping Brees off the field I don't own SEA but I would start them.

    Week 13 waiver

The cupboard is pretty bare this week. Not sure it's worth the trouble to pick up Cunningham for one or two possible starts @ SF and @ ARI.

Round Pick Player Position 1. (7) Marshawn Lynch RB 2. (18) Steven Jackson RB 3. (31) Julio Jones WR I'm 9-3 and in first place with most points. 12 team standard format money league.

    Comes down to points...

Are you saying your league has 4 teams in the playoffs and the playoffs are weeks 13-14? That's sorta weird.

    Zac Stacy

James Starks ran wild after Lacy got concussed earlier this season. Where is Starks now?

    Zac Stacy

I hope they hold him out this week. I'd rather not be tempted to start him @ SF. That being said, it takes several days for a player to be evaluated post-concussion and you shouldn't expect to know his status for the game until at least Thursday.

Steven Jackson - has never had a winning record

But he's won championships with me and that's the next best thing.....at least his mom thinks so. She's especially proud of the my '06 backfield of SJAX/Gore/Rudi who unleashed the fury of a thousand angry midgets on their way to 5947 total yds and 37 TDs. She sent me a commemorative magnet that I have on my fridge!

    Time to drop S-Jax?

After watching last night's game he is not droppable. Like I said before....his floor is higher than any wr/rb/te that would be on the WW and he would be scooped up immediately by your potential playoff opponent. Weeks 14-15 -- his opponents are pretty soft. He was my second round pick and I haven't used him, which sucks, but he's staying rostered. If you have better options, let him ride your bench.

    Time to drop S-Jax?

Well those two are bums for sure....and both are splitting carries equally with another RB. Yet, if you dropped them in a competitive money league, they would be claimed immediately by someone who is currently stuck with the likes of Tolbert, Jacobs, Vereen, or Powell. And if your drop helps another team, say the Peyton Manning owner, then you've screwed up. At any rate, dropping SJax in a money league is not advisable.

    Anyone signing Burelson this week?

Yes. He is an upgrade to the worst receiver on my bench. Durham sucks. Lions need pre-pizza Nate. He's been practicing for two weeks and looks good to go. He's going to get you 60-100 yds and with the chance of a TD.

    Atlanta Falcons what happened?

I believe they were the #1 seed 2 of the last 3 years....and they had a lot of confidence. But they were humiliated when they gave away the NFC Championship game last January and they lost their swagger.

    Time to drop S-Jax?

Last time I checked, there are only 32 starting RBs in the NFL. And if you're in a competitive money league with 10 or more teams you should never drop a starting RB. Period. There is no WR/TE/RB that you can pick up that has a higher floor than SJax. Why do people need to be told this?

non pass interference at the end of NE vs CAR

Also, Tom Brady is a class act: “I didn’t really see the play either so I don’t know whether it was a good call or a bad call. But we had plenty of chances. I’m not making any excuses. [Gronkowski] was kind of weaving in and out of there and I didn’t really want to throw it over his head and out of bounds. So I was a little indecisive. It wasn’t a great throw. No excuses. It should have been a better throw.”

non pass interference at the end of NE vs CAR

I loved this call. I'm sick and tired of receivers turning around or stopping....then sticking their hands out...and when the defender runs into them....seeing a flag for PI. Gronk was moving forward. The defender was moving forward. The defender had good position. I like the no-call in these situations. Also-- the refs did handle it properly. They called the contact, but determined the pass was uncatchable and picked up the flag. Rule 8, Section 5, Article 3 Permissible Acts Article 3 Permissible Acts by both teams while the ball is in the air. Acts that are permissible by a player include, but are not limited to: © Contact that would normally be considered pass interference, but the pass is clearly uncatchable by the involved players, except as specified in 8-3-2 and 8-5-4 pertaining to blocking downfield by the offense.
  17. I need Lafell to score 6.4 pts so my arch nemesis loses. Let's go Brandon!

When is Schwartz going to lose his job

Pittsburgh's coaching looked fairly inept as well......they consistently sent Bell up the middle against Suh and Fairley. It was painful to watch.

Ok is this shady to do with waivers?

In light of Tim Wright's dazzling 3.4 pts over the past two weeks.....I'm going to dredge up this post to make the point again. Starting RBs are worth a heck of a lot..... and you should not trade them for marginal players at other positions. There are plenty of marginal players already on the waiver wire that you could pick up. It doesn't matter that you are not starting Andre Brown or Ryan Mathews. They are still starting RBs and you may use them down the line. Hold them.

How Sexy do you need Cammy Newton to be tonight?

I've already won handily, but I will take all the points that Sexy Cam can muster.

    Brock a sneaky pickup?

Having watched Brock a lot in high school I wonder how his body will take an NFL hit. He is extremely lanky. Even in junior high, he was always listed at 6'8" until he chose football over basketball, then he magically "shrunk" an inch. At his height, he can stand in the pocket and throw the ball....which is what Peyton does, but when it comes to football intelligence Peyton is one of a kind. Granted he's now had 1.5 years to learn from Peyton. This "experiment" will be interesting to watch in coming seasons.

Ok is this shady to do with waivers?

Looks like you got saved from yourself. Running back depth is crucial. Trading a starting RB for a waiver wire TE is not a smooth move.
