Too many choices ever a BAD thing?

I think the best option is to trade depth for better players, specially after half the season when injuries are more prevalent and you start to consider playoff matchups. The only spot where depth should be maintained is at RB since an injury to a starter could kill your chances unless you have a capable replacement.

    R. Moss's FFT projections

With all the trash-talking from the Jets, BB will try to score a lot of points this week. He knows that placing the Jets in an 0-2 hole and the Pats 2-0 will help them in winning the division. Moss will be extremely motivated and Brady will offer his support for Randy's new contract by throwing to Moss often. Welker will probably be double-teamed all game.

    Worth trading for Brandon Jackson?

The guy who picked up Brandon Jackson now wants to trade him. He also wants to get rid of Calvin Johnson for better WR. I'm assuming that he thinks that the change in QB will hurt CJ. My WRs are: Randy Moss, Steve Smith (NYG), Crabtree, Knox, Santana Moss, and Jacoby Jones My RBs are: SJax, Jamaal Charles, Ahmad Bradshaw, Felix Jones, and Bernard Scott. Since this is a non-PPR league I was considering offering Bradshaw and Steve Smith or Crabtree for CJ and Brandon Jackson. Should I do this deal? should I start by offering Felix Jones instead? Post your link and I will help you.

    Interesting Trade Offer

It is a good deal though I think Mathews will be a lot better as the season progresses. You can also then consider trading Celek + Jahvid Best or Stewart for a better RB. Check out my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290

I'm being offered A. Foster for M. Austin....

Because you only play a max of 2 RBs there is no need to stack up there. Keep Austin as he is consistent + should get more 40+ TDs than Foster. Check out my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290

    Dropped Aromashodu for Collie

Collie will be very inconsistent. He is the #4 option after Wayne, Clark and Garcon + he competes for plays with Gonzalez. Peyton won't be throwing 50+ times every week. The upside to Aromashodu is a lot higher as the CHI offense develops. Mike Williams has a lot of potential and should be the most consistent WR out of the 3 so keep him. Brady and Nicks for Brees?

The trade is a good one for you. If you need a WR then do it. Otherwise you might as well stay put or ask for more. If you think Brees will have a lot better game this week vs SF than Brady vs the Jets then wait and get a better WR. check out my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290

    RB2 to start?

AS mentioned by another poster it comes down to Cadillac vs Stewart. If Moore is not 100% then Panthers will run, run, run. Panthers have good CBs and will thus stack the line and force Freeman to throw. I like Stewart more even if he only gets 15 carries. check out my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290

    Trade thoughts?

I think you did good in the trade. Brady to Schaub is a slight drop and now that teams will respect the Texans run game it will open up the pass. Forsett to Turner is a huge improvement. Turner will not face the Steelers again. Since you will play a RB as a flex you should be able to choose between Moss, Sims-Walker and Percy to get 2 quality WRs. check out my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290

    :: Bradshaw or DA? ::

I had Turner last week and he did nothing against Steelers. Logic says to stay away from CJ this week. However, CJ is a lot quicker and more elusive. I expect him to get 60 yds rushing and 30+ receiving. You have to start DeAngelo. Bradshaw has a good matchup and as mentioned will get several passes thrown his way and the Giants will want to run more to keep the ball away from Peyton. The big difference between selecting Bradshaw or CJ is based on who you think will get more TDs. If you think they are equal then go with CJ. check out my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290

    flex

In none PPR I think I will go with Ricky. He had 18 carries last week so expect similar amount of carries + a few more catches. Mike Williams (SEA) faces Bailey and Mike Williams of TB faces a good Carolina secondary. Gaffney is an intriguing option but need to see him be more consistent as he was targeted 7 times. Collie had a monster game but I doubt he will be consistent enough since he is the #5 option in the red zone, is competing with Gonzalez for playing time and Manning won't throw 50+ times every week. chekc out my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290
  13. I like Santana Moss and feel he is a #2 WR. He is the only consistent WR in Washington and is the type of WR that McNabb looks for often. Moss will get consistent targets. Bowe was terrible but he will have very good games as well, however expect him to be inconsistent. I also think Collie will be inconsistent as well. Floyd is similar to Moss in value. Bowe will get more TDs than Collie by the end of the season. Collie is at best a #5 (after Wayne, Garcon, Clark and Addai) option in the red zone for Indy and he is competing with Gonzalez for playing time. Try trading Collie after his monster game for a better WR who underperformed like Knox.

    Two WRs - pick one

I agree with the last poster's comments. However, TJ was targeted only 4 times (new ot the system perhaps?) and Shipley was targeted 7 times (but in a rout where Bengals had to pass). Expect Bengals to run a lot more which will hurt Shipley. None would give you great numbers. Maybe you can get a better option in waiver wire like Devone Bess in Miami or Greg Camarillo in Minnesota (he only played a few snaps but was the best WR there last week). Desperate grant owner

I like the 1st option since it does not weaken your starters. Is the guy trading you Brandon Jackson desperate for a QB (maybe he had Stafford or Kolb as his #1)? If so then maybe you can get a throw in as well since he needs a #1 QB more than you need a RB. Check out my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290

    Jacoby Jones or Robert Meachem

I like Jacoby Jones but I still need to seem him perform. Skins are a tough D so that might mean more opportunities for Jones. I'd go with Meachum though as he has shown he can produce. I expect 49ers to bottle up the run game forcing Brees to throw a lot. Check out my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290

    Trade Forte for Gore?

In order to consider the trade take a look at their schedules. Gore will face Arizona and STL twice. He then has matchups against SD, KC, Seattle (which they should do a lot better) and TB. Forte will face Minny, GB, Cowboys, Giants, Eagles, Jets and Pats. Gore will also get his catches. Please look at my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290

line up dilema to many to start I will reply to yours

Gore, Bradshaw, and Wayne are no brainers. I like Moss a lot this week. He is clearly the #1 WR and McNabb will look for him often + if Texans score a lot Redskins will have to pass a lot as well. In your league how many points per receptions? If it is 1 point then I'd go with Boldin over Pierre Thomas. If less then 1 point then go for Pierre. I just have a feeling that the 49ers D will come out angry and force the Saints to pass a lot. Opinions on some trade options

I like Pierre Thomas, but because he just picked up Jackson he will probably be willing to trade him so go for Jackson first. If he refuses to trade Pierre or Jackson then maybe getting LT is not a bad idea...he is going to carry the ball a lot more than expected and the Jets will run a lot more with Sanchez struggling. LT and Greene could end up with numbers similar to Panthers of last year. Take a look at my link: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370290

Ahmad Bradshaw will = Tiki Barber

Lizard, it seems you have not watched Jacobs a lot in goal line situation. Jacobs is terrible even in short yardage, Bradshaw is actually the better RB there as well. Because Jacobs runs upright it is easier for LBs to tackle him backwards. Plus Bradshaw is the 3rd-down back. Yes injuries are a concern with Bradshaw, but the same can be said of Jacobs. As for the Giants passing too much it only happened last year and that was because they often trailed in games and both RBs had injury problems. This year expect Giants to run a lot more than last year.

Is you first round pick turner against the Steelers D?

    YOUR draft

I'm playing in a league where most people are PAT fans. Brady was the 1st QB taken at 1.06 and one guy picked Vincent Jackson and Sidney Rice. Benson went in the 1st round. Thomas Jones went in the 2nd to the same owner that has Brady and later picked Fred Jackson in the 5th as his #2 RB. Another guy has 3 RBs (16 rounds) which are MJD, Michael Bush and Chester Taylor. WRs fell and I was able to get Santana Moss in the 8th, Johnny Knox in the 10th and Jacoby Jones with the last pick of round 16 + Bradshaw at the end of round 7 and Felix Jones end of round 9. To cap it off 8 defenses went in rounds 7 and 8.

16 Standard Team League - Will rate in return!

You are solid at RB and Foster can be a #1 RB by year's end. I like Zach Miller at TE and he is the best receiver in Oakland. QB play should be fine if you play the matchups correctly. Your only weakness is at WR. Norwood is pretty much useless and if Turner goes down Snelling will be the primary back...not Norwood therefore you can drop him. There is a chance that VJ signs his tender by Sept. 4th and plays by week 4 or is traded....so pick him up his potential is a lot higher than Norwood. Fells is also not going to provide much and because Zach Miller has a very late BYE week no need to keep a backup TE so pickup Massoquoi...he is a big target and should be #1 in Cleveland and Delhomme is an improvement over any QB they had and he tends to lock into his WRs. Other sleeper options at WR are Laurent Robinson or Ammendiola in STL, Camarillo in Minnesota (big target for Favre and Berrian is a deep threat only), Doucet in ARI, Devin Thomas in WAS, Lafell in CAR, and one of my favorite sleepers is Harry Douglas in ATL.

Rate my team and where to upgrade

I'm in a 12-team standard league that has QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, Flex, K, DEF. QBs score 6 points for TDs. The team I drafted is as follows: WRs: Randy Moss, Steve Smith (NYG), Michael Crabtree, Santana Moss, Johnny Knox, Jacoby Jones RBs: Steven Jackson, Jamaal Charles, Bradshaw, Felix Jones, Bernard Scott QB: Kevin Kolb, Palmer TE: Owen Daniels K: David Akers DEF: Cincy I have a few concerns on my team - SJax holding up for the season and Owen Daniels not ready for week 1 and injury status. Should I give up SJax and/or one of my WRs to improve in these 2 spots? Or just hold on for the first few weeks and trade one of my middle WRs when they explode?
  25. cheesesteaks

    pls evaluate my team

Very good team and great RBs. You should at that very least make it to the championship title game. The only question mark is your QB, but between the 2 you have you should be able to get a good one. In the worst case scenario if you need a QB you should be able to trade Mathews + 1 QB for Brees or Rodgers. If Mathews is very good you can even trade him straight up.
