Rate my team from #11 spot. 5 ppr league

It is a big risk you took, but if Foster is as good as he appears in preseason then your team is set. If not then you could be in trouble. It would help if you listed your backups. Check out my post: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=368615&st=0

Rate my Draft - 12 team ppr league

If I'm reading correctly it means you have 3 flexible RB/WR spots? I think you are very weak at the RB spot and WRs don't tend to be very consistent. I would try to get an additional RB workhorse like Portis or Cadillac Williams and trade one of Wallace or TJ. If McCoy is injured your team will struggle. Maybe give up Thomas Jones to the guy who has Charles and upgrade there. Please take a look at my post: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=368615&st=0

Are VJAX or Sidney Rice Drafteable?

In my league the same owner drafted both players as his #2 and #3 WRs.

Are VJAX or Sidney Rice Drafteable?

Draft them as WR #4 with a preference to VJ because he can sign or be traded. Also consider Santonio Holmes since he will be back in week 4 and is a solid #2 WR who is drafted as a #3. You can also consider handcuffin VJ with Floyd.

    How'd I do?

I'm not fond of your QBs, but other than that your team looks fine. Your RBs are solid. With more emphasis on running Eli might see his points drop while I think Sanchez is mediocre. However, riht now you are good to go and would not make any trades. If Jacoby Jones does well then you can use him as trade bait to improve at QB or TE. How's my team

Overall your team is fine and agree with the other poster that maybe better WR depth would help. Maybe try to trade Heath Miller to the owner of Owen Daniels who might not play week 1 or will be in limited snap count. Which one at #8 Pick?

If one of Gore or Turner fall to 8 then take em. They are workhorse RBs. Gore gets more receptions while Turner might get more TDs. If neither are there and you don't want Rodgers then go for Moss...he should get tons of TDs in his contract year. I wouldn't take SJax until later in round 1. If you can take a look at my post: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=368615&st=0

    Should i accept this trade?

Mendy is a lot better than Addai and will not have pressure from the #2 RB. Is this a straight up deal or are u giving up something else? If straight up then don't even blink. Take a look at my post: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=368615&st=0

    Greene For Mendenhall

Mendy will get a lot more receptions than Greene, the only difference is the OL is a lot better for Greene. I like Mendy more in PPR but no big difference between the 2. Unless you upgrade somewhere else I'd stay put. Take a look at my post: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=368615&st=0

Fitz & Leinhart vs Fitz & Andersen

Some people are dropping Fitz to the bottom of round 2 which I don't understand. Even with a mediocre QB he should get a lot of targets, specially since there is no viable TE. Fitz can outjump and outmuscle any CB. If the run is decent and Breatson + Doucet can be serviceable that will keep teams from doubling up on Fitz. Massoquoi did decent with Anderson so Fitz should be able to hold his own. See my post: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=368615&st=0

    Trade Roddy?

I think the best option is to stay put and hope that one of your sleeper WRs (Evans or Roy Williams) start off great and then trade them after week 3 (maybe Roy to the owner of Dez Bryant for handcuff). If you really want ot upgrade then another option is to trade Turner to the owner of DeAngelo Williams + a #2 WR. Another option is to target a lower #2 WR like Derrick Mason or Meachum if he fell. rate my 12 team re-draft

Overall you have a solid team. The only area of concern is depth at RB. I would stay put and hope that both Cutler and Kolb play well early and trade them to a needy QB team for a RB or improve at your #2 WR spot.

Rate my team and where to upgrade

How about trading SJax and Steve Smith or Crabtree for Gore? I just feel that I have too many good WRs for a league that only forces you to use 2 WRs. There is a team in my league that drafted Sidney Rice and Vincent Jackson so his other 2 WRs are Colston and Breaston. He has DeAngelo Williams so I could offer him SJax + Jacoby Jones for Williams + VJ + Todd Heap. Another option is to give up Bradshaw + Santana Moss for Addai + VJ + Heap.

    RATE MY DRAFT

I like your WRs but I think there is too much risk at RB. If you lose Charles then your are in trouble. Some options are to give up Steve Smith for Arian Foster as they are similar in value or give up Driver and Bush or Bradshaw for a better back that gets a lot of carries like Beanie Wells or McCoy. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=368615&st=0

    Your opinions on my team?

I agree with many posters that you need to upgrade at WR. I also view Maclin, Garcon and Wallace as similar in style and value therefore you should trade on of them to upgrade. Some possibilities are to trade Arian Foster and the lesser of these 3 WRs for a #1 WR like Marshall or Roddy White. Another option is to give up Foster + Berrian for Boldin. You can ask for a lower tier RB in return that has option to start like Leon Washington in Seattle. If you have a chance take a look at my team (http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=368615&st=0)

    Wayne, Calvin or Miles

In standard league I have 1.Wayne, 2.Austin, 3.CJ In PPR league I have 1.CJ, 2.Wayne, 3.Austin Wayne is a good red zone target for Manning but does not get a lot of guaranteed touches because of all the other weapons. Austin is similar to Wayne but not as proven. CJ will get more touches but I can see less yards from him and lesser QB but has the bigger upside.

Why RB is the most important position on your roster

This argument also depends on where you draft. Also if you have a good set of featured backs for rounds 3-5. For example if you draft at the end of Round 1 and select Randy Moss and Brees, you might be good at RB by drafting Arian Foster and Chris Wells, Best, Forte or Jammal Charles in rounds 3-4. Then grab Bradshaw, Michael Bush, Portis, Cadillac or Harrison in rounds 5-6. If you dratf in the middle or beginning of round 1 you can always get a Pierre Thomas, Benson and Grant in round 3.

Owen Daniels Passes Physical & Activated From PUP

I hope he plays in week 1, though there is talk of a limit on the amount of snaps he takes in tat game. The problem for me is that I don't have another TE. Should I drop Bernard Scott and pickup a very low-end TE (i.e Kevin Boss or Tony Sheffler) or just risk it and hope Daniels is productive in the snaps he gets?

    players from the same team

Last year I had Schaub, AJ and Owen Daniels. Daniels went down, but fortunately for me I was able to grab Finle of the waiver wire. Got all the way to the championship but lost.

    Legedu Naanee

Naanee is a question mark...he has not done much before so who knows if he can play at all. Laurent Robinson is the #1 but he will face #1 CBs...can he handle it? Hester is inconsistent + should get several receptions a game though no TDs. Jones looked great against Dallas and was used in the red zone and in middle patterns...he should be good even if he is the 3rd WR.

    Back up QB's

They originally wanted Feeley to start but he got injured in the preseason and Bradford played well vs NE. If the OL struggles then Feeley will get the nod if he is OK. If Delhomme struggles I can see Seneca Wallace playing...it won't be McCoy.

    Sleeper Defenses?

I always aim for a sleeper D to pik in later rounds. Last year I had the Jets which I picked up late. This year I'm aiming for the Bengals...they have great tandem of CBs which allows them to blitz more. I believe their DL will be better than last year. In my 12-team draft last night I picked the Bengals in the 13th round after 12 other Defenses had been selected!
  23. cheesesteaks

    Lets get deep

I think Snelling is a good handcuff for Turner owners. He also gets sufficient carries in a game to be relevant. Scott is also a must handcuff for Benson owners. Another interesting scenario I'm considering is WR-handcuffs. For example if I get Dez Bryant I go for Roy Williams in later rounds. If I get Driver I go for James Jones.
  24. cheesesteaks

    DeAngelo vs Matthews

In a keeper league and having AP I would take Mathews as well since he has more upside. However, if it were a non-keeper league I would take Williams as my #1 RB because of his consistency and proven track record.

Aaron Rodges at 1.9 Am I CRAZY?

I'm in a standard 6-pt passing TDs league and have Rodgers at 1.9 - I like the top 4 RBs + Gore, Turner, AJ and Moss ahead of Rodgers. If Rodgers is taken before I have good value left. If I pick later then Brees is an option, but I think I would wait til round 3-4 for Romo or Schaub.
