Check your hotmail!
I'll be back later tonight.

I'm more than willing to deal some SPs for the right 2B/OF help.
-
Is there somewhere on our site that lists the locked down lineups for each day? Like, when the first game of the day starts and you can't make any more adjustments...I assume CBS records your lineup at this time - but does it display somewhere?
I ask this because I had Livan Hernandez (thank you waiver wire for 4 hit, 1 run complete game ) in my lineup for tonight, then was making adjustments for tomorrow and benched him. Later, I went back to the live scoring page to check for any updates. Livan and his gem were no longer listed. Eventhough I'm 99% sure I wouldn't, I don't want to run the risk of losing his start, so I returned him to the starting lineup (and now he reappears on the live scoring page).
I know I'm worrying needlessly, but I could use some tender reassurance right now.

I lead in hitting futility.

What started out as a simple joke in my very non-competitive, nobody-cares-who-wins, hometown friends Sandbox league turned into the blockbuster of the century.
I give:
Bonds
JD Drew
Nomar
Alfonzo
E Milton
C: R Martinez, Oak
I get:
Pedro
M Morris
Sosa
Furcal
J Ortiz
T Hall
My lineup after the deal:
C: T Hall
1B: Bagwell
2B: Vidro / Ortiz
3B: Nevin / (waiver on Blalock in the process)
SS: Furcal / Mark McLemore
IF UT: McGriff / Ortiz
OF: Sosa
OF: A Dunn
OF: Cruz Jr
UT OF: C Lee / M Cameron / McLemore
SP: Pedro
SP: Vasquez
SP: Morris
SP: Zito
SP: Oswalt
Bench SPs: Padilla / Halladay / Pavano / Wolf
RP: Nenn
RP: Strickland
I know I'm getting jobbed pretty badly in the deal and wouldn't have done it in a serious league (especially roto scoring), but if Pedro gets healthy, that's one fierce rotation! Sandbox is so heavily weighted towards starting pitching that I could get all my hitting off waivers and still have a shot at the championship with these SPs.
Good times, good times.

It puts the lineup in the basket!
On a sane note, no, I've not had any problems. Other than having to restart often because IE can't handle the pull down boxes.

The Mighty, Mighty Heat
C: Lo Duca - hoping he can come within 10-15% of last year
1B: J Giambi - money in the bank
2B: F Vina - solid AVG, runs, steals. drafted late so not expecting much
SS: A-Rod - even more money in the bank
3B: Cirillo - AVG, runs, and a handful of steals
MI: Izturis/Vazquez - steals and offensive stats that won't hurt
CI: S Burroughs - hope the hype pans out
OF: B Willians - steady as they go
OF: J Dye - 25-30 jacks, .300 avg, 100 runs, 110 RBIs. praying to the injury god
OF: C Everett - hoping new team returns Carl to the .300, 30 jack, 100+ RBI, 20+ steals group
OF: J Burnitz - jacks, RBIs, runs
OF: T Long - avg, runs, and improving power
OF: J Tyner - steals, steals, steals
SP: M Mulder - great WHIP, ERA, and wins...solid Ks
SP: R Oswalt - even better WHIP, ERA, and Ks
SP: J Lieber - another solid 4 cat SP
SP: J Weaver - keeps getting better, solid ERA and WHIP, needs to get lucky run support for decent Ws
SP: M Buerle - decent WHIP and ERA, pencil in 15 wins
SP: R Halladay - young, unproven, but with potential to mow people down
SP: D Lowe - who knows, was a 'decent' starter a few years back
SP: J Johnson - good stuff, little experience, horrible team. welcome to the bench
RP: D Graves - hoping he stays in the pen - 30+ saves, Ks
RP: P Quantrill - Herges is gone, LA hasn't traded for Alfonseca yet, hope Quantrill makes his mark
RP: M Remlinger - Smoltz already admitted he wasn't ready for the season yet, doubt he'll stay healthy all year. Good WHIP, ERA, Ks regardless
Bench: D Ortiz - heres hoping Mienkewitz (sp) gets hurt and Ortiz subs 5 games early.
A solid roster, IMO. Love my SPs, tanked my RPs. Offensively, should be competitive in avgs, runs, RBIs, and steals. Probably looking at middle of the pack at best for HRs. I like my chances at a top 4 finish.

Nope.

Ignoring the fact that a certain Canadian that will remain unnamed has delayed the completion of the draft, pick the 2 best teams.
Only rule...no picking your own roster!
My top 2:
Intentional Torts
Badly Beaten Mimes

It was already decided prior to last season in tj's league rules. Some people have just needed some clarification (like myself, when I drafted David Ortiz this season). A few have voiced displeasure with the rule, but nobody, to my knowledge, has pushed to get a league vote to change it.

I'm really hoping that one pans out. I'll officially be moved to Alexandria, VA this Friday. Haven't had a baseball team worth rooting for since the Tigers took the series in '84!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Jose Canseco was invited to the Expos camp.
I felt I would be unduly skewing the league's competitive balance without reporting this and giving you ample time to adjust your first round selections.

Ugh, that long?
I wanna play noooooooooooooooooooooow.

I voted for 5.
