  1. Frank was a disaster in Indy too.  He's simply not head coach material.  I'm also happy I don't have to see his face on the sidelines any longer.  This is his happy, mad, sad, pissed, angry face.  Man had no emotion.  Not that it means anything but damn, something!

  2. Wow, we have a situation in our league where the fumble by RG3 was not counted and it cost the guy a spot in the super bowl. Our league rules stipulate that one point is given for a fumble recovered by the defense. In this instance the defense did not recover the football. I don't think the guy has a leg to stand on, what say you?

  3. I think playing your best team each week is the way to go. I had this same dilemma several years ago. Had I laid down the last week a lesser team would have made the playoffs. The other team vying for the playoffs was very hot at the time.and I had thought about playing my "bench" in order for the lesser team to win and make the playoffs. I decided to go ahead and play my best team. For one, letting the guy win and then losing to him in the playoffs would have really sucked. Two, I didn't feel like the drama it may have stirred up. Long story short, I played the hot team and got destroyed. Oh well, damned if you do, damned if you don't!

  4. I'm very intrigued by Rogers this week. I have Floyd who may or may not play and Crabtree who may or may not get covered by Revis Island.

Those two question marks have me seriously considering Da'Rick Rodgers this week (Lavonn Brazill may not play). No clue what to do and will prolly decide last minute.

Have the same dillemna, I picked up Rogers this week, and have Floyd penciled in to start, but may play Rogers instead. I don't think Floyd has practiced this week has he?

  5. Randy Floyd.

Before next fall you're in need of a serious attitude adjustment young man. You better get your
priorities straight. And watch out for that other crowd you're running with. Don't think I
haven't noticed. Hey, I want that piece of paper on my desk before you leave here today.
    Do you hear me?

Wait that's Randy, you said Michael, my bad. ;)

  6. He screwed me as well. I started him basically for salary cap reasons. Our league has a salary assigned to each team and you have to stay under a given amount each week. I'll keep him, but I put in for a cheaper kicker so I can start Tony Gonzalez next week instead. I also got screwed by Marshawn Lynch and Calvin Johnson. I guess they'll get there's in the end, but man what a lousy first week!

  7. If you had a need at QB and are deep at WR, then I actually like the trade for you.

If you are weak at WR and traded Jennings then I don't like the trade for you. :dunno:

Miles Austin (out for a few weeks however)

    Jeremy Maclin

    Jordy Nelson

    Jerome Simpson

We start 2, and I also just put in for Danario Alexander with STL.

  8. If he needed a QB, he did fine.

I believe Newton is going to be a Monster this season.

    Possibly Vick type #'s.

Have Cutler and Freeman who are ok, but nothing compared to what Newton has done obviously. I also play in a salary cap league, so I'm getting Newton at $2M which is super low for a QB. This allows me to start guys I normally wouldn't have been able to.

  9. Not sure what their draft status has to do with anything. Was Vick drafted last year? What about Warner in his break out year? Newton has been lighting it up. McGahee looks to take over the starting roll in Denver, and Williams hasn't done crap and is always an injury risk. I hated giving up Jennings, but I think the rewards with the other two out weigh the loss.

  10. You are assuming that he "rushes" like he did last year, which based on his ACTUAL history is a HUGE assumption. Vick has rushed for 6 or more TD's 3 times in his career. He had 8 in 2002 and the next year rushed for 1. He had 6 in 2005 and the next year rushed for 2. In fact, he has rushed for 3 or less in 5 of his 8 years in the league.

Sure, he has potential but to assume that he goes off like he did last year is a HUGE gamble. Not to mention the fact that defenses started to figure him out late last year and will be even more prepared this year. Add the fact that he is an injury risk and I would hardly call him a sure thing.

Kind of my thought as well as far as him duplicating the running stats. The injury risk as well with him beign a running type QB. Also if I select a running back such as Peterson or Foster first, I can get their handcuff in later rounds, and maybe see 75% or so of the production the #1 might have given. I don't think you're going to get that same type of production with the Vick back up, although with Young you do have the run threat(is he #2?). Also if you take Vick and go RBs with your next picks, your looking at maybe a player like Blount or Hillis. This makes for a week WR corpse, unless you take them or 1 at the turn, but then you've got the same problem with RB. I'd definitely consider pulling the plug at a later 1st Rd pick, but I just like the "safety" in choosing a RB #1 overall.

  11. No. You would have to hit on nearly every other pick to make up for a bad first pick

Frozenbeernuts makes a very good point. After looking at this for the past week or so, I think I'm going with Arian Foster. I think Peterson would be the safer pick, but I think there's so much more upside with Foster, plus in my league, we play with a salary cap, and the one on Foster is about $700k less than Peterson. ;)

  12. Would anyone consider taking Vick with the 1st pick? He blew away the competition last year in total fantasy points and that was just 12 games. Because the line isn't the greatest and he runs a lot, that worries me for injury sake, but man that could be huge. It would be like a #2 RB and a top QB in one player.

  13. Playoff week 1...have to pick 3 of the following WRs:

(0.5 PPR, 0.1 point per yard)

    Roddy White HOME vs Philly

Greg Jennings HOME vs BALT- I have Aaron Rodgers as well

Mike Sims Walker Home vs HOU

    Michael Crabtree @ SEA

    Chris Chambers home vs DEN

I am leaning towards White, Sims Walker, and Jennings.

    Leave a link for yours!

    Thanks

I agree with the 3 you picked, although Crabtree vs Seattle is a favorable match up. This time of season though, you have to stick with your studs. I have Jennings in one of my leauges and he's killing me with his hits and misses, but perhaps he's finally due.

    Here's mine.

  14. I guess the one good thing is at least she wasn't an English teacher. :overhead:

well I am one of Mrs.Faulkners students this year and I think that she didn’t do that. I have known her ever since I was five years old and she was just like a family member to me… Knowing her that long I actually think that she would never even think of doing something like that. Almost all of her students and some of her teachers are really sad and have been sad ever since she have left Wednesday. I didn’t know what was happening when she left early. And for ever body at school that is making fun of her I will ask that they please be quite until they actually find out something. There are a-lot of her students that cant even be in her room, because of all of the pictures in her room. I also they that you should respect the fact that she has a husband and a son named Tanner and that she wouldn’t be dumb enough to set there and run around on her husband. Like for the people that said that she txted that person saying that she picked him over her husband. Im srry to tell you but shes back together with her family. SO don’t set there and say that ewe thats sick, or your a bad bad girl, because she havent went to court yet and she is not found guilty. You don’t even know her so All of you saying that needs to shut up. Like today I couldn’t even set in her room because I think that is really sad and I’m not staying in that room until she comes back because there are pictures and really great memories in that classroom. ANd if she is found guilty then I can see that she won’t be able to come back. And I will have to try my best to stay in that room the best I can. Well don’t say she guilty until she is found guilty. SHE IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY I AGREE WITH KAYLA…
