Lots of luck with that.

Sounds to me like Philly fans are making a statement about their expectations if they are celebrating after one win over the worst team in the league. Most other fans hold off until they've actually accomplished something before they go patting themselves on the back. I guess it's an attitude you're forced to adapt when you're a fan of a team that never has, and never will, win a superbowl.

I wan't speculating, it was an opinion. If the guy is walking off the field holding his shoulder there is a good chance they were pushing it a bit and no way he was 100%. From a Skins standpoint, they lost the game anyway and now have the Cowboys up next week, and fans and Portis owners alike can only hope there weren't any setbacks.

The real question will be how is it today. It was a mistake for him to play.
-
Or they could easily be 2-1. You are getting ahead of yourself and too bad it isn't a 3 game season.

You're right, I guess I did. Just speculation on Duckett. -
Laugh Now, Cry Later...Portis to Start tonight.

Why? Most of the those guys had good games, it remains to be seen if Portis will start and there is a good chance he won't see the goalline carries this year. -
Anyone who was suprised by Tiki's play last night has not been paying attention. He's been playing like that on a near weekly basis for two years now. As far as the Giants D goes, they completely dominated agains the run. Peyton got his, but that's to be expected and that offense matches up about as well against this D as possible. They protect the QB better than any team in the league and throw to very quick WRs. That counters the Giants strength on D (the pass rush) and plays their strength against the Giants biggest weakness.

Clayton was bangged up last year. I believe he will eventually emerge as thair #1, but it won't be one of those clear cut things. Galloway over achieved last year and Clayton, who put up big numbers as a rookie, is now entering his third year and healthy.
-
Culpepper has always been a very overrated NFL QB based on the numbers he puts up. He has a big arm is a big guy who can move and has the ability to take over a game when on, but this guy has a long history of poor accuracy and poor decision making and turnovers. He looked like he had turned a corner two years ago when he looked good in all aspects, fantasy and otherwise, but has been down hill since. He'll still probably be a decent fantasy QB this year, but this idea that Miami was going to be a SB contender because they landed an elete QB was rediculous. As far as quality QBs go, Culpepper is no where near Manning, Palmer, or Brady, and is probably not in the next tier of guys like Hasselbeck and McNair despite the big fantasy numbers.

This was talked about in a lot of places. This guy getting busted for DUI and another for driving totally naked. This reflects very poorly on Detroit. You got idiots like Rogers and Williams as 1st round picks who can't get their shiet together and expect to set an example and turn things around with coaches with drinking problems doing stupid shiet off the field themselves?
-
Missed what they said about Portis and W Lundy. Did anyone catch? Thanks.
-
How could Tiki not be in there? The Indi run D was average at best last year and Cory Simon is questionable. It's a game that should put up a ton of points where the Giants strategy will be to keep the Colts high powered offense off the field.

Eli is going to have a monster year.

You are an idiot. He was in there for two series against the starters and was running over people and breaking tackles and carrying people against them to, so don't speak when you don't know. His 50 yard TD was against the starters dip ######. If you watched the game he was breaking about 4 tackles a run against all units, but I'll take you word that he runs too high to be effective. I guess teams disguise their strategy for tackling at the legs in the preseason. That was the knock on him last year and they've worked on it all off season and all reports have been talking about him getting the pad level lower. Looked pretty damn effective to me. Some of his best runs weren't even on here and he can catch the ball too.
-
He's killing guys out there. Starters, backups, whoever is in his way. Speed on top.
-
Because he would make a good handcuff and WILL help reduce Tiki's workload this season. The Giants have an early bye week this year. He'd make a good reserver after that point for Tiki owners.
-
Of course Jacobs has no value when Tiki is healthy. But you will see him spell Tiki for a series here or there or run out the clock at the end of the game, and he will be a real nice handcuff.
-
Tiki is too good to pull, but they don't want him carrying it 360 times. I know a lot of people have not been high on Jacobs, but the team is VERY high on him, so you will see more of him this year.
-
I guess you fail to realize that the last two teams he played for were more than happy to get rid of him, and the attention he drew when available indicates most of the rest of the league does hold him in the same regard as you do. I guess you must know more than they do.

The shoulder injury is a big question. For one, I would not be suprised to see them use Duckett in short yardage in order to help protect him from injury (pure speculation). Things get physical down there, Duckett has proven his value there, and Portis' shoulder will be vulnerable all year. He may not miss any time, but I could definitly see them trying to avoid using him as the workhorse he might otherwise have been used, and he is one hit away from an extended period with the trainers.
-
Perhaps, but there were no signs of a slow down last season where he got better as the season went on. He also looks very sharp in the preseason. I think people underestimate how much wear and tear affects those stats for guys dropping off over 30, and Tiki has far less wear and tear compared to other backs. He really only has a few years of heavy load, and has already said he plans on retiring when he hits the point where his body starts to wear down. He's not there yet.
-
Of course it could happen. I don't think people watch a lot of Tiki. He is a phoenonimal back. He is also versitile and the focal point of what should be a very good offense. Obviously there are no guarantees, but there is very little downside. His is older, but with very little tread on his tires, and looked phoenominal down the stretch last season. He got better as the season went on, not worse, and looks every bit as good in the preseason. I see no reason to assume a big drop off unless you are inclined to do so.

I was talking about Gore over Tiki, dumb ass. Yes, I know who Gore is. He's a good back, but over Tiki? Come on now. That's plain silly. Rediculous response for laughing at Tiki at 12???? Okay.... Please do. Book mark it. Take all those backs ahead of Tiki -go ahead, rub it in my face. Tiki doubters have a GREAT track record of rubbing it in people's faces.

I always wondered who those morons who draft in those Yahoo leagues were. You clearl;y don't watch football. LOL. Gore!!! Haaaaaa!!!
