Who would you take at number 4?

The ONLY downside to Tiki is that he will get puled inside the 2. But he will remain in there inside the 5 but off the goalline and is a guy who can score from anywhere on the field. He will score a couple as a receiver as well. He is the focal point in what should be a VERY potent offense this year. It all runs through him. Tiki is a no brainer here. People make it sound like he won't get any TDs. He'll still get his. If it weren't for his getting pulled on the goalline, he'd be in the conversation with the big 3.

    Washington homers

Washington fans should be worried. Yes, we know it's only preseason, but looking like crap is never a good sign. Brunell overachieved last year. He is not a good QB and has not been for some time, so that is a real issue. I've never seen a bunch of mediocre receivers get more hyped than Lloyd and Randle El. They are okay NFL receivers who are not the sort of players that will take an offense to the next level, as some have suggested. El will take some plays away from Moss, and Lloyd from Cooley, so these guys don't really bring anything new to that offense. Saunders is a good OC, but he's worked his "magic" with two of the most tallented groups of players we've seen in a long, long time. We're not talking Holt, Bruce, and Marshall Faulk here, or an o-line that pushes defense five yards off the ball with Tony G in the passing game like they had in KC, and Brunell is a far cry from the underrated Trent Green. This offense could be decent if Portis is healthy. If not, this unit could be in trouble. Blame it on the preseason, but offenses like Indi and Cinci somehow seem to look impressive in the preseason. Not looking great is one thing, looking pittiful is something to worry about.

    Worst Starting QB

Aaron Brooks. This guy has been surrounded by tons of tallent since coming in and can't ever do anything on a consistent basis.

    Patriots 41-0 over Redskins

Skins fans are the biggest bunch of delusional homers out there, so they'll probably find some way to rationalize it. But the fact is, this is the 3rd preseason game, the one that is supposed to be a dress rehersal for the season and they looked like total crap. If I were a Skins fan, I'd be very concerned. And those that aren't are kidding themselves.

    Philip Rivers

Rivers looked like crap. A couple fumbles, some poor throws. Sorry to disappoint, but he's a couple years away.

    NY HOMERS.....or anybody else

Come on people, Tiki, and it's not even close. He'll lose a few TDs to Jacobs from inside the 2, but is a TD machine and can pop it in from anywhere on the field. He's still going to get his TDs and the yardage won't even be comparable. The Giants offense will be a monster this year, and it all runs through #21. At the end of last season when Tiki was popping off 200 yard games, Jackson was turning in 50 yarders. This is not a close call. Tiki is a MUCH better back running behind a better o-line.

    Steven Jackson or Tiki Barber?

You people must not watch a lot of football. Or pay attention to stats for that matter. Tiki by a landslide. He's a MUCH better back running behind a much better o-line. They don't pull Tiki inside the 5. They pull him inside the 2. And he's a guy capable of popping it in from anywhere on the field, on any play. If it weren't for Jacobs, he'd be looking at 20+ TDs to go along with his 2000+ yards. He's a yardage machine and will still get his TDs.

    The New York Giants.

Chiefs vs. Giants Preseason Game (FOX)

Under the circumstances, I agree. I thought he did okay. I just thought Osi looked very good. I agree, Turley will get better.

Chiefs vs. Giants Preseason Game (FOX)

Must not have very high expectations then. I thought Turley was clearly outmatched.

Is Droughns the uncontested starter? What about Suggs, and does W Green have a role?

    Is Philly back?

With the distraction of Owens out of the way, and some players, such as McNabb, possibly returing to health, should we expect a return of the Philly team that was the class of the NFC two years ago? I say no. They had a nice run, but I think the loss in the SB was likely the window shutting on them as an elete team regardless of the injuries last season. Their defense should still be pretty good, but not dominant, and I have questions about their line backers. On offense, it's all on McNabb who is coming off an injury. They still have questionable receivers and a questionable running game. With the rest of the division having caught up to them, I seem them as an 8 - 8 or 7 - 9 team. They were at the end of their run before last season and last year they took a step back. Obviously injuries had a lot to do with it, but I just can't see how you can expect them to simply return to their SB form as many are predicting.

    Tiki, Edge, Portis

One of those games NY plays Seattle which is not exactly a defensive powerhouse. Tiki ran for 5.8 YPC and nearly 180 total yards against them last year, so let's not hold that one against him and call it a one game difference in SOS. This SOS argument is kind of silly.

    Tiki, Edge, Portis

You people do realize that the Giants and Washington play the same schedule except fot two games, right?

    Is Philly back?

His career best of 812 rushing yards would have qualified him as the #24 last season. And that's using his career high.
  18. I think so. Last year people were making them out to be an all time great because their defense was looking good and their going so deep in the season without losing. The NE game convinced a lot of people that it was their year. But NE was clearly not the same team, at least not at that point in the season, and down the stretch they begun to look more like a good team that looked like a great team because of a soft schedule. But those lofty expectations were extinguished with a loss in their first playoff game. That has to be deflating to a team that probably saw it as their year, at last, like so many others did. Throw in the questions surrounding the future of their coach, who's heart may not be in it, aging of key players, and the significant loss of Edge to their heralded offense. they'll still be good, and will probably, once again, be a playoff team. But I don't see the dominat team many others do.
