Start Davonne Bess over M. Barber in 1/2 PPR?

You're not crazy. You should do it with 1/2 point per reception.

    Which DEFENSE?

Pretty even choice but the possibility of GB getting a pick 6 is higher. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=359207

    Need playoff help....Will Help You!

I'd go with Addai and Charles this week for RB. For WR, hmmm. I never thought I'd say this but I think I might sit Moss. Seems like having both Colston and Meachum gets you a solid set of points. It doesn't feel right but at least one of them should explode and the other at least be average. Moss might just be average this week against Carolina who is pretty good against the pass in fanasty-points. I'd definitely take Ochocinco since CIN won't be able to run much. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=359207

Sherman Lewis and Jason Campbell Never Speak!

It is completely bass ackwards. There are very specific run and pass plays that you will try to run in very specific situations. The simplest example for most people to understand is a reverse play when you notice an end starting to slide down the line too often. Or when you want to run a draw on a "passing down" but the Run Coordinator calls for an inside trap to the 2 gap, which would be WTF. Good offenses play the run and pass off of each other...OK, forget that, we're talking the Redskins and frankly, they're not a good offense. Sorry 'Skins fans, you're a good 5 years away from being competitive and that assumes you immediately ditch the owner, GM, several coaches, retool much of your offensive line and find replacements to the underperforming (and some aging) divas like Portis, DeAngelo, Santana, Randel El, Smoot, etc. that are just no longer hungry enough to play. Washington is horribly run and that organization has slowly but surely been driven into the ground. It will take a long time to recover - this is only the beginning...

WSIS - RB stable is loaded

I agree with your assessment but if Jones is playinge, I'd play McCoy instead of Forsett...especially if Haynesworth is out (game-time decision for Haynesworth).

any news on sammy morris or taylor

Huh? NO is #19 in rush yards against this year and the NO defense allows the 10th most FF points to RBs.
  12. You can't bench Benson because he really hasn't been stopped this year yet...while the matchup seems bad, keep in mind the only time Benson has been slowed down in fantasy is against the horrid Browns run defense and the terrible Texans run defense. Ironically, he does really well against better rated run defenses. Go figure. I'd go Driver but Rice should still have a good week. Remember, while people think the Min-Det game will get "ugly early" Detroit is still giving up 275 yards passing per game on average and is the 5th worst team in the league fantasy-wise against WRs. Go figure.

    Need 1 More - Can't decide

I thought this said one more? I'd go with Addai since Donald Brown is inactive. I do like Jennings this week too against TB but I believe Addai will have a lot of touches. I suspect HOU will use a compliment of both Slaton and Moats with Slaton motioning out of the backfield to get mismatches against the banged up IND secondary while they keep the TE for pass protection on the edges. Moats will still get his share of running (unless he fumbles of course ) but he won't get more FF points than Addai or Jennings this week.

Is it crazy to bench Schaub?

Yup, go Schaub. Indy's secondary just got decimated. They always were mediocre without Sanders and now they may end up playing mediocre to below average. And not to digress, but they will route Slaton out of the backfield (with Owens out) to take advantage of this so Slaton doesn't have a fork in him quite yet...

    Good flex problem...

Steve Smith as flex...especially the Carolina Steve Smith (this week at least). I want to like Ronnie Brown but team are finding the way to stop the wildcat now and with 2 weeks for Billicheat to prepare, I don't think Ronnie has good stats this week.

    Wicked Dilema

I don't think you can sit Gore or Grant this week with their matchups. I'd go with these guys. Sims-Walker is still a good choice this week but I just like Crabtree a little better this week. Gore, Frank SFO RB Grant, Ryan GBP RB Austin, Miles DAL WR Crabtree, Michael SFO WR Jackson, DeSean PHI WR
  17. I'm going with Crabtree this week over Driver and Roddy White (Fitz is my other WR). He should have a great game. I don't want to like this guy due to the hold out but he actually can really play and is showing impact immediately. Damn him.

Why is CBS so low on Gore this week?

Yea, I don't get it. Prior to today, he's played 3 games this season for 16, 35 and 4 points. One bad week and the fact that Bob Sanders is back for Indy and he is sit of the week. That's really a stretch. A lot of backs have terrible YPC if you take away the 20+ yard runs. Remember, the NFL average is roughly 4.0 YPC and amazingly enough, that includes ALL runs. The SF offense runs through Gore and if Alex Smith can resemble a solid first round QB (and Vernon Davis lives up to his potential like it appears he might) and defenses will have to open up a bit and Gore becomes the MAN for the 2nd half of the season.

KEVIN SMITH OR MATT FORTE FOR WEEK 8

When you look at the stats, both teams are about equally bad against opposing RBs. It's so close at first glance that I have to go to secondary and tertiary factors that I normally wouldn't. You need to look at how each team will leverage KSmith and Forte and how the games will progess. While I think KSmith will be part of a balanced attack, STL, with Steven Jackson, can run against DET - this means a slower game, more time off the clock and less overall offensive plays. Forte, on the other hand, will be the recipient of a ground and pound approach with Cleveland passing a lot to catch up (they won't be effective running against Chicago). CLE / CHI will be a slightly quicker tempo with more offensive plays in the favor of Chicago (CLE may have a tough time keeping their offense on the field and that benefits Forte in ths case). Hope that helps - go Forte this week.

    WDIS?....Schaub or Rodgers

I'd lean towards Rodgers this week but barely. Winfield is out this week so the MIN secondary takes a real hit. Plus, it's in Lambeau. Just remember that Rodgers got physically pummeled last time these two played but I have to think GB will have a better answer for that this time. Bills pass defense is not that bad (pretty decent actually) but Houston is good enough that Schaub will still get his.

    Beanie Wells - FINALLY

Good points. Mostly agree but here's some other points: Wells: Whisenhunt and Russ Grimm have a Steelers background and will seek a more balanced attack - although Ken always had a flair for the occasional gadget play. They haven't really been able to be balanced but both are good coaches and will adjust to their talent. They drafted Beanie for a reason. Didn't they "phase in" Hightower last year also? Beanie didn't look bad catching the ball. Also, almost all rookie running backs struggle with pass blocking - the college game jsut doesn't run that complex of pass protection, nor are there the complex defensive packages for the most part (just ask Steve Spurrier). Beanie will get there - he's pretty coachable. For you fantasy guys, this means his 2nd half of the season should be pretty good - RB2. Green: The problem here is that Leon was complimentary to Jones. Shonn Green is another image of Jones. Shonn Green was brought in to eventually replace Jones, not to compliment him like Leon. Two different running styles. I'm undecided yet on how they will use Green with Jones but it it isn't as easy as saying Green just plugs in where Leon left off. Green was supposed to plug in where Jones was going to leave off next year. If I were the coach, I'd adjust the gameplan to rotate Green in more and more until it's 50/50 towards the end of the season and you will have kept both legs fresh and worked the rookie in...but, alas, I'm not the coach of the Jets. Green will probably get some really good garbage time during that one 3 week spell where they play the Sisters of the Blind Academy, Oxford and the Montessori Mudhens so could be useful there.

Cooley out for year per NFL NETWORK

People are saying around Redskins Park Cooley could be back within 4 weeks. Everyone that is except the laundry guy that La Canfora uses as his "insider".
  23. Low Score

    Which TE?

Cooley. Washington is a mess and their o-line gets worse every game especially now that Samuels is out but expect more 2 tight end sets with Cooley releasing and Portis in pass protection to pick up weak side (he's one of the best assignment blocking RBs in the league). The Redskins will try to iso Cooley off the middle since Witherspoon is coming in new from STL to start at MLB. Besides, Campbell has always had time to throw to the TE...just usually not the WRs.
  24. Low Score

    Flex Position

Leon is the play this week when compared to Choice. Felix is back. Marion will start and get the slight majority of carries. Leon against Oakland is a good play because Oakland has had problems with smaller, quicker backs and backs who can get to the edge. Leon will do well against the Oak front seven.

    Lance Moore

He's been moved up to the slot WR. He's not the #1 or the #2. #3 on NO is good but don't expect big numbers week in and week out unless someone gets injured like last year.
