No way you should start him. Sincerely, Your opponent
-
I'm playing the same - Gore and KJ. I like Jacobs against the Redskins, though, and would start him over KJ if I had him. Jacobs will get a lot of carries with the high winds in NY plus the Redskins D-line is a little banged up, although, I think everyone will play. Plus the LBs are a little undersized (IMO) and won't handle a bigger back like Jacobs well.
-
Go with Peyton but Palmer hasn't been exactly "spotty" or "putrid". He's actually done pretty well fantasy-wise except for the last 2 weeks.
-
If there are are high winds (e.g. like the 25 mph sustained winds with 40 mph gusts predicted for the Giants - Redskins game), then don' start that QB. Snow can be played in, some rain can be played in - high winds never produce good stats.
-
I don't like Washington at all this week. I'd go with Jacobs and the Giants D.

Chatman - J-E-T-S, suck, suck, suck Bush Kolby T Jones

That's really an uninformed statement. They faced 4 ranked teams (and more if you include the times when the opponent was ranked at the time of play). Last year, people were picking on OSU going to the title game and they played the #2 team twice during the regular season. LSU has played a pretty weak non-conf schedule too, although, the SEC as a conference is probably a little ahead of the Big Ten.
-
Well, if you're talking about Washington, I wouldn't say it was the same fashion. OSU came out in he 2nd half and dominated (and dominated the rest of the season up until Illinois...which was a bizarre game in and of itself...why you play nickle packages on 3 and 1 situations against the #6 rushing team in the nation I'll never know...but I digress). Hawaii struggled big time and pulled it out at the end of the game. OSU had it locked up a few minutes into the 3rd, dude. I'd love to see Hawaii in the title game or a BCS game - it would be a lot of fun...just for the pre-game ritual if not for anything else. I hop they an be this year's Boise State and make some noise in a BCS game.
-
Wha does everyone think for the rest of the season? I think they'll play Ricky enough to make Bessie Fatman worthless now (especially with Beck in there) but probably not so much that he's worth starting on a FF team. The hardest part for the Dolphins now is setting up the Doritos table next to the Gatorade table.

Gumble is a train wreck. Somehow, I just can't look away. It's football, though. I'd listen to Joan Rivers as long as I get to watch the game...OK, well, maybe I'd mute it then.

See what Dan Marino and some Isotoners lead to?

there was another lame call in the CLE - BAL game where they called a roughing on #26 (I think) of CLE. I'm a Steelers fan so no bias but all the CLE player did was get a free lane on a blitz, jump up to try to tip the pass and then land on the QB just as he threw it. It was a pretty unbelievable call. The refs are getting sissy.

I'd go with Bruce this week.

Fellas, the Chiefs organization has been pretty quiet on this and Herm said they're gathering more info and seeing how it is. That means they are getting second opinions which doesn't happen unless it is significant or season-threatening. It's Wednesday of week 10 - they aren't evaluating if he is out 2-3 weeks. They are evaluating if he'll be there at the end or potentially the playoffs. Also, the Denver report had an inside source that they feel is close to the situation. They definitely didn't make that up. Whether you can trust the Denver reporter to be a good judge of whether someone is close to the situation is debatable but one thing is for sure - someone inside the KC organization thinks LJ's foot is broken and thinks that for a reason. In short, KC is trying to find out or find a way where he'll be back this season. This is NFL modus operandi.

Moss practicing with larger than usual football.

Jerry Rice used to work for his father's (or uncle's) business loading and unloading bricks and he used to catch the bricks being tossed down to him. Supposedly, that's what first developed his excellent hands. I'm a little surprised that Moss would work with a football a different size but a different weight would make sense. I have seen baseball players having golf balls hit to them as the smaller, quicker ball works hand-eye coordination. -
I haven't read through all the thread because it's just too long but as a Selvin owner, I popped out here to see what info was posted. First, the case will go to and stay in Federal court. Many organizations have Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and they always are ruled upon in Federal court becasue they span state lines - the motion to move it back to the state court will be dismissed with summary judgment. Granted, Zissou has every right to file a motion but it's really just a stall tactic. Personally, this smells of guilt based upon the lawyer tactics - motion to move back to state court, volunteer to provide hair samples and lie detector test, etc. Those could also point to him being innocent but this just feels wrong.

i have both in one league and would say KJ. SF is in too much turmoil and I'm not confient that last year wasn't just a 1 year wonder.
-
Another stellar Florida U product...I betcha he wears spikes that use velcro and have "L" and "R" written on them.

Someone saying that thing on the side of Brees' face makes him want to say "Quade, start the reactor." -
The SEC is the premier conference in America. Any questions?

I'm not sure that a conference having upsets withn it's own conference means that it's the best. I think that it means it is very evenly balanced and competitve between it's own teams. I could say the same for many of the mid-majors. -
I wouldn't call it collusion. Remember, it's not about what players have done in the past - it's about what owners think the players will do in the future.
-
Exactly. I don't like either this week but Favre won't have a running game and will be forced to throw. If you get negative points for INTs, you could see just single digits for these guys this week.

Travis Henry = approx. 1 more month of playing time

Huh? Whuh? The guy gets injured occasionally but usually plays. He played half a season with cracked ribs in Buffalo. This guy is tough as nails...or stoned....hey, wait a minute! -
I'm going with Minn myself but my gut tells me that Washington is the play here. The match-ups just go in their favor way too much in that game. Great secondary vs. a QB willing to take changes. A physical front seven against a suspect run game. Andre Carter pass rushing (finally) like a freak. GB has been doing great and I love seeing Favre have a good year in his final(?) season but this game just smells of disaster for GB.

Even though the Dolphins D is statistically bad against the run, they are much better now with Zach Thomas back. i.e. Cleveland will have to throw some. Go with Anderson.
