    Wow Jason

I think he's glad he did that against you. After all, he's now in first place in your division.

    2005 Playoff Picture

Well guys it's that time of year. Only two games now until the playoffs. There are some interesting situations cropping up heading into these last two weeks. Lets take a look at the playoff races, shall we? Players Division Horny Toads (9-2) are leading the league in points right now. Since they have split their games with Beerboy (7-4), they have pretty much locked down the 1st week bye. Beerboy has locked down his 2nd seed with splits or wins with all of the 5-6 teams and a comfortable lead in points. The real drama comes with that 3rd spot. Singman, Reluctant Prophets, and Big Show are all tied at 5-6. Here are the facts: Singman is one game up on Reluctant Prophets and is 2nd in points between the 3. Reluctant Prophets have swept the Big Show. The Big Show are 1st in points between the 3. This weekend pits Singman against Reluctant Prophets and the Big Show against the Horny Toads. In week 13, Singman plays Horny Toads, Prophets play Beerboy, and the Big Show vs Uncle Paul. So this weekend's game could decide their fate as Singman goes against Prophets. Assuming they all lose at least one of the next two games (no offense, but this seems likely). In order for Singman to go he must beat Prophets and outscore the Big Show. In order for Reluctant Prophets to go he must beat Singman and outscore the Big Show. In order for the Big Show to go he must maintain his points lead and win a game. Pimps Division This is a much more decided race but there is more intrigue at the top. Demolition (9-2) has been on fire this year. He currently sits atop his division but Jason Austin (8-3) is not far behind. The winner of this weekend's game will lock up the 1st week bye. Moz (6-5) is firmly in 3rd place. He was swept by Jason so he can't move up. Shox (4-7) can only take his spot if Moz loses both games, Shox wins both, and Shox passes Moz in points. There you have it!

6-7 makes the playoffs this year !

I WON'T take that bet. It's pretty much a lock to happen unless there is a major upset.

least all my guys had a bad matchup !

Yeah you both had bad luck this week. Look on the bright side though.... I now lead the league in points!

least all my guys had a bad matchup !

If Brett goes out there and does nothing but short dump offs to Gado, say 35 receptions for 100 yards or something you might just be able to pull this one off! Actually Gado could score 3TDs again. That's 18 points. He could run for about 100 yards (anything more is probably asking too much). That's what, 10? (28 total). Then lets say he gets 6 receptions for 35 yards, which is more than he has done but he's smart (pre-med) maybe he picked up some more plays this week (9.5, 37.5 total). Brett could easily torch the Vikes to the tune of 340 yards (13.6, 51.1 total). So all he'd have to do is throw for 3 TDs (12 points) and you win (118.60-117.66) right? I'd say that's all pretty doable...unlikely, but doable.

    Horny Toads/Moz Trade

After the Minnesota game this weekend Gado's schedule gets pretty tough. I knew I wasn't going to start him over my other 4 backs so I figured I'd get some value. However, he does get carries and has looked pretty good on a very crappy team so who knows even if he doesn't stay featured in GB next year maybe he'll be traded ALA Droughns. Priest may or may not come back. If he does he will at least be a very good backup for LJ and he may even become the starter. If not oh well.

    Horny Toads/Uncle Paul Trade

To make things clear, not that it's any of your business, Uncle Paul made this counter-offer to me and I accepted. Singman has the email to prove that, so don't think I tricked anyone into anything. In fact, I fully disclosed all of the information about Priest/LJ to Paul beforehand, so he wasn't in the dark about anything. He likes the upside of Gore and Rhodes becoming starters next year, and is obviously confident in his drafting ability.

    Shox, Captain Lou

Me likey trades. And to think the last two years I didn't make any. I've caught the bug from you and Moz. I guess I just like negotiating and feeling like I'm in control of my team...

I had originally offered Davis in a similar trade, but UP countered with this one. I couldn't accept fast enough.

    Trade

Of all the players involved in the trade, only Caddy really has alot of long-term value. He is looking like a bust right now but his team has faith in him so he'll get the touches. The worst part about him is that you want to start him because he's got such potential to blow up but he keeps burning you with sub-50 yard games. However, all of the players involved have huge question marks looming over them, and as you said the Carolina situation is extremely muddled. Jones is looking good right now but who knows what happens next year. He can't hit the holes fast enough so he may lose 3rd down carries. He should be a TD machine, regardless of who becomes the starter. Rattay, Taylor, and NE will become non-factors. Winslow is an idiot, but after you wasted a roster spot on him for two years it's got to be hard to give him up now. There's no clear-cut winner, and the barf icon was because I can't stand any of the players involved. This year-Singman probably will benefit more. Next year and beyond- Ya gotta hope Caddy will live up to his potential and be a shining star for you Oc, you deserve it for dealing with this team.

    Horny Toads/Uncle Paul Trade

Yeah although obviously I am very happy to have Johnson (I won the sweepstakes! ) this trade gives Uncle Paul 6 picks in the first round. He pretty much can cherry pick his favorite players. Rhodes and Gore have a good chance of starting for him next year.
