  2. I like them a lot. Definitely worth checking out if you like Godflesh. Typical Justin Broadrick sound and very long songs (8-10 minutes on average). I have the self titles album and Silver and listen to them both frequently.

ISIS does sound a bit like them. Truth be told, I like ISIS better.

  3. Norton Antivirus has detected a virus on my computer. It is running very slowly. It says it is in a virus named "bloodhound.morphine" located in C:\windows\system32\innaeia.dll and says that it is unable to delete or repair it. I have tried to search for it and cannot even find the file. I have Windows Explorer set to show hidden files/folders so it should be there.

Anyone else have this virus and what in the hell did you do to get rid of it? I have updated my virus definitions and still nothing. Help. My computer is running extremely slow. I can't handle it anymore.

And yes, I probably got it from a porn site. Either that or downloading music.

  4. I think that this had to have taken place several years ago. I recall seeing those tribal dancers before, the ones that are on the big screen, at a few Tool shows, but I have not seen them in a long time.

Unless they are still using the same crap, I'm going to say this took place at least 5 years ago.

I believe that is from a show in London from their "Ǽnima" tour back in 1996-1997. I used to have a VHS copy of the entire show.

  5. How bad was the paralysis?

Typical paralysis, I guess. Any kind would suck. This is the extent of what I have heard/read.

Tool’s signature elements, such as epic songwriting and grungy metal chops, return revamped in their new release, 10,000 Days, replete with the dark and borderline-creepy cover art one might expect from the band. As per usual, they involve latent, sophisticated references in their songs, including the genie from Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, “Jambi,” and 10,000 itself, which refers to the time period from the point at which Maynard James Keenan's mother (for whom he names track “Wings for Marie (Part 1)”) became paralyzed due to a stroke until the point she died.

  6. A guy at work just told me the reason behind the 10,000 days title and some of the songs in that his mother was in a coma for 10,000 days (27 years+) before she died.

Not in a coma. She was paralyzed. The 10,000 days is the time from when she was paralyzed until her death.

  7. They have also posted a new looking logo and a picture from the new album:

    New Logo and Pictures

Although I am still not sold that these are the correct names. Last time around they led people on for quite a while before announcing the correct titles.

    Regardless, I am pumped.

Hey Mike, have you heard Maynard's side project "Puscifer" from the Underworld soundtrack? Pretty cool sound as well.
