    Steve Smith on crutches

oh man. And I was feeling so good how he fell to me as my WR2. Does anyone really know how bad it is?
  2. What would you be aiming to do with your first 3 picks if you had 7th in a 10 team league on NFLcom? I'm thinking I want to go RB/RB/RB, but I'm curious what others are doing or would do. Using NFlcom ranks, its realistic to hope for 7. DMC 14. Forte/DeMarco Murray 27. Marshawn Lynch/Steven Jackson That's a damn good RB corps. Adding in a couple receivers like Percy Harvin and Antonio Brown and then getting a QB in the 60's or 70's seems like the ideal way to go. What do you think should be done at 7?
  3. First of all, I used the search function but didn't see a Rashad Jennings thread so forgive me if it exists elsewhere. But can we start talking about this guy and what could happen in Jacksonville? It seems to me that even if MJD's holdout situation clears up AND he comes back in good spirits AND he's quickly reintegrated onto the field, Jennings stands to at least be a sneaky play in weeks 1 and 2 given what we know he can do. And in the best case scenario (I don't want to think about this because I'll wet myself with excitement) MJD's holdout goes south, he never really comes back and Rashad Jennings owners lucked into a feature RB anywhere from the 9th round to undrafted depending on when your league drafted. I read that his ADP has risen from rd 13 to rd 9, and only stands to go higher with the MJD uncertainty. Am I silly to be excited about Jennings? If he even produces 1 or 2 good weeks to start the season that would be significant to me. And if things go right I think he could end up being one of the biggest surprises of the year. Is that stupid?

Sorry, it's a 10 team standard scoring ESPN league.

    Plug My Holes

LOL. I like to think I did a good job of drafting a balanced team, but I'm curious to see where you think my weaknesses are and what you would do to address them. Plug my holes, if you will. TO THE WINDOWS, TO JAMAAL (0-0) POS PLAYER, TEAM POS ACQ QB Matt Ryan, Atl QB Draft RB LeSean McCoy, Phi RB Draft RB Jamaal Charles, KC RB Draft WR Wes Welker, NE WR Draft WR Steve Smith, Car WR Draft TE Antonio Gates, SD TE Draft FLEX C.J. Spiller, Buf RB Draft D/ST Seahawks D/ST D/ST Draft K Neil Rackers, Wsh K Draft Bench Malcom Floyd, SD WR Draft Bench Nate Washington, Ten WR Draft Bench David Wilson, NYG RB Draft Bench Michael Crabtree, SF WR Draft Bench Daniel Thomas, Mia RB Draft Bench Greg Little, Cle WR Draft Bench Rashad Jennings, Jac RB Free Agency Obviously my biggest hole is at FLEX, but I'm most curious what you guys would do there. Start one of my high upside WR's (Floyd, Washington, Crabtree)? Or try to swing a trade for an RB3? Thanks yall.

    What About Rashad Jennings?

THIS is the kind of nugget of info I was looking for. Can anyone else speak to Khan's attitude on the holdout? Moreover, can anyone speak to Khan's or the FO's opinion of Jennings and his potential as a featureback? If things sour quickly, could the Jags just tell MJD to F off and start developing Jennings? I know I'm getting ahead of myself here. This is something I was thinking too. His value right now is intriguing for MJD owners, but in a week or two he could be downright essential for them depending on the holdout. I would advise owners to hang on to RJ and hope a bit more of bad news comes out regarding MJD. That would drive his price up and help us get value back for him. Seems like RJs stock has some room to grow before we sell high.
  7. Which teams have stud kick returners on them this year? I'm sure a few of you have leagues that credit return yards, so please enlighten me. I'm curious about who the biggest TD threats are, but mah league gives D/ST 1 point for every 35 KR yards, so that could be a big factor when choosing my D. Randall Cobb was the first guy that I thought of who would boost his D/St's value. What say you?
  8. All my mock drafts seem to have me choosing between these two guys in the late second round. Which one of them do you prefer to lean on as an RB1? Does it make a difference if they're being counted on as RB2's?

    What About Rashad Jennings?

So should I try to trade Jennings to the MJD owner in my league? Seems like I should be able to get something back if he's an astute fantasy owner.

    Vick hurt and leaves game!

I'm happy he got injured now for different reasons (yeah I know that's pretty f'ed up, but this is fantasy football). His ADP is probably plummeting now, but he was picked in the 30s or 40s in my draft. There are a lot of unhappy Vick owners right now, and I'm glad I'm not one of them after being one of them last year.

    DeMarco Murray or Jamaal Charles?

The poll results are 16-5 in favor of Murray, surprisingly. The people have spoken!

    DeMarco Murray or Jamaal Charles?

If you'll allow me to play Devil's Advocate for a moment, isn't Dallas' O-line one of the scariest to be behind this year? Murray's health will surely be affected by the kind of protection he receives. I'd rather have my RB-on-the-mend behind better blockers. And couldn't you say the presence of Peyton Hillis helps preserve Jamaal Charles' durability this year? It's not like Charles ever really got goal line scores, he breaks off long ones. Murray will be relied on heavily (in an admittedly pass first offense), and he hasn't shown he can even play a full season yet. Meanwhile, Charles should be well rested for his juicy playoff schedule.

    Vick hurt and leaves game!

What does an unhealthy Vick do to LeSean McCoys production?

    Julio Jones or Percy Harvin

Im planning on taking Percy at 34 in a 10 team standard league.

    TE

if gates is really healthy you gotta thin he's going to produce some touchdowns for Rivers.

    Matt Ryan

Im taking him at 44 in a standard 10 team league and I feel good about it.

    Blount down

Oh hey Doug Martin, what's up?
  18. If both Marshawn Lynch and Adrian Peterson were available at #24 in a 10 team standard espn league, who would you prefer? Tell me who you would want in a vacuum, and then tell me who you prefer knowing that the first two picks were McCoy (1.4) and McFadden (1.17). Yes I'm trying to go RB/RB/RB

Talk me out of taking Arian Foster at 1?

Foster will get injured and you'll wish you took Rodgers.

Should I be worried about Chris Johnson

Consider me equally curious. Titans fans, where you at?
  21. The Schaub comment was definitely a joke, should have added a smiley lol. I'm starting to back off the thought that I must take an RB in round 1. Whoever made the point that I'm already at a disadvantage with RBs, so I should take someone who gives me an edge at a different position really got through to me. So now my question is this: I'm in talks to swap picks 4 and 17 for 5 and 16. Do I still need to follow the logic above and take Brady or Brees at 5? Or is it acceptable to take CJ2K there since those QBs aren't quite as ahead of the pack as Rodgers. I realize that its the smart and safe pick to go QB, but I just hate the idea. Should I try to trade down to 6 or 7 or am I just being a silly goose who should shut up and be happy with Rodgers?
  22. Why should I take Rodgers at 4 when I can get a guy like Schaub much much later.
