    Janikowski.. this Thu and ROY

He was accurate and had plenty of leg strength despite just standing over the ball for his field goal this Sunday. I think he'll be fine barring future injury. My main concern has been Palmer's being a more effective quarterback than Campbell, possibly leading to more TDs and less field goals. That's difficult to predict though, so I wouldn't concern myself too much with it.

    Willis McGahee

McGahee was drafted in my league, and he's been surprisingly solid. He put up duds in week 1 (2.43 pts.), week 7 (5.60), and week 8 (0.00); but beyond those stutters, he's been a good start considering his late draft pick, good for 10 plus points with upside. I think Tebow's presence helps him as you state, but the issue is that Tebow may not be there for the remainder of the season. Still, with talent at a minimum on the Broncos, he's sure to get his, Tebow or not, though the ceiling would certainly drop a bit should that happen.

Roy Helu on the fantasy trade market...

I just got off the Shanahan roller coaster... only to get back on. I'm a retard. I know it, but Helu is the one... this time... pretty sure... maybe...

    D Murray

You're absolutely right, and I know better than that. My (worthless) excuse is that I woke up late and was just annoyed by the baseless insults for having an unpopular view when I was just looking to kill some time.

Who are you starting Tebow over in week 10?

I'm rolling Tebow for as long as Fox will let me. He's a gift. Why leave it sitting there unwrapped on the shelf?
  6. That's true except that Tebow is known to be a poor passer. I'd expect any gameplan to be based on stopping the run and letting him beat you by passing. It's definitely his weakness, so why not play to it? I'd expect better teams to sell out and stack the line.

    D Murray

Strawmen are awesome. We'll see how Murray plays out for the rest of the season. I could be wrong. It's fine to disagree. No need to be a twit about it. (I'd be 6-3 this week after an 0-3 start, but I went up against the 1st in points with the 2nd highest, if you care, which I doubt since you're ready to leap to judgments without information (a/k/a "good" analysis).)

    Time to sell Tebow?

That's basically it, and, unfortunately, but the time he can earn the trust of disbelievers, the season will be over. As long as Fox and Elway continue to say that Tebow's on a short leash, they'll keep him in an unreliable situation. I do have to wonder if they're just saying that to light a fire under him though. Even if the plan is to trade him at the end of the season, the organization should still want him to do well enough to get decent value from him in any future offer.

    Anyone starting Ware?

I did in place of CJ. Not sure if I should cut my ties or hold onto him just in case he's thrust into the starting role. None of the WW prospects seem worth pursuing enough to drop him for the next flavor of the week. I didn't catch the game, but I'm seeing Ware was targeted twice with two drops/misses while Jacobs got five targets and reeled four of them in. Plus Jacobs is the lead back as expected, getting a bit over 2/3 of the carries. Ware probably only has value if and when Jacobs suffers some injury.

    week 10 WW Pickups

Ivory's a good player, but his stats looked relatively excellent because the Saints ran much more than usual and didn't have Ingram at the table to share in the carries. He's a very good RB but be aware what to expect, which shouldn't be much going forward.
  11. It definitely was an encouraging win. I will temper my expectations by noting how poor a game Oakland's defense played. There wasn't any pressure on Tebow. Lots of Raider penalties saved drives, too. Still, he produced, threw some nice passes that weren't all ducks, and actually helped set up a run game which made McGahee and Moreno useful and took pressure off him. Tebow still telegraphs his moves a bit much for me, but maybe that's just through the lens of watching on TV. When he wants to run, it's clear he's going to run with no attempt to freeze defenses.

    D Murray

Seattle has a middle of the pack defense -- 14th in total yards (allowing 110.4 per game). The team does have a nice YPC stat, but when I look over the schedule of teams played and the types of games played, I can't get too excited about it as a test of Murray's ability. Seattle's offense is so inept that most teams should be grinding out wins early, leading to lots of obvious clock killing rushing attempts and lots of obvious stops. That said, fact remains that he's still putting up excellent numbers, and there's no reason to bench him until he stops producing or whenever Dallas benches him when Jones returns. I'm still not convinced that he'll be the main guy down the stretch despite his gaudy numbers the past three weeks. I don't trust Dallas.

    Week 10 D/ST wire picks?

The only team I'd feel safe betting against is Indy. The Colts are in the driver's seat speeding fast on Luck highway, and I don't see management allowing Painter to force them off on a detour to net a pointless win. Lots of pitiful matches which could go either way.

    D Murray

So real that you can't get his name right. Murray has looked good, but still keep in mind the teams he's played well against: the Rams, Eagles, and Seahawks. Murray did put up 3 YPC with 11 carriers against the Pats prior to his rushing streak. He's done well of late, awesome for FF, but I don't think a short sample will have the team throwing their starters under a bus just yet.
  15. Tebow surprisingly looks to be an asset to the ground game rather than taking away from it. Sure, he'll vulture some goal line carries, but if most teams concern themselves with keeping Tebow in check, that'll free up gaps for Moreno and McGahee. Decker is a good start, too. Tebow's not a great passing QB, but he clearly is focusing on him like every pass play.

    VJax going off !

He just cost me a win this week. Leading by 14 with like 10 minutes left in the stupid Chargers game. Poof. I'm done. I guess Rivers and CJ got the memo on how they shouldn't stink this week.

    Anyone starting Sebastian Jano today?

Palmer is playing too well. Less field goals for Janikowski to make. Wondering how it'll affect him down the line. He's clearly not at 100%, either, but even then he's still one of the best kickers playing.
  18. Started over Schaub.
  19. Let's say the season plays out as it has with Newton being the best QB in the league by far from a FF perspective, and team improvements next year mean Cam should do even better. Would being on the cover of Madden make you rethink drafting him? Because right now, I'd say he's the odds on favorite to land the cover next year.

    Saban is a Boob

Five in the last five. Six in the last ten, about to be seven in the last ten once LSU wins it all again. Haters gonna hate.
  21. I can still see RBs such as Forte getting paid in the future, but it'll be an incentive heavy deal with little real guaranteed. There's no other way given how current busts will set future contract precedent.

    Chris Ogbannaya train

The Browns have signed Thomas Clayton to be used as a 3rd down back. Oogabooga will still start, but considering the second half of the season is a gauntlet of the league's tougher defenses, I wouldn't put much stock into him, especially splitting carries as he will be doing.
  23. beemo

    Peyton Hillis

The whole basis of the drama surrounding Hillis is that he's a free agent next season without a contract deal from the Browns. The team can't and likely won't look to enhance his value when Cleveland is already looking to dump him next season.

    Running backs SUCK this year.

I doubt it. RBs will be valued even higher if that were possible, especially the few remaining who are in a system of their own. Even aging, less ideal candidates such as Steven Jackson and Gore should see a bump on the boards next season assuming all holds well. WRs have had their share of busts, too, and let's never forget what Rivers and Vick have done for their owners. You'll still need RBs for your team, and a huge advantage goes to those who can find healthy, unpaid, strep free starters outside an RBBC hell.
