  1. Thoughts? Alternatively, I also have Vereen stashed away, but I understand he should be due back soon.

My other RB's are D. Murray, L' Bell, F. Jackson.

    I can only keep 5.

Tough decision since he was my 1st round pick and the potential he has, but he has out right killed me this year. I bench him he does okay and vice verse when I play him. He's got the Jets and bye on the horizon too.

  2. Who the heck said to bench him?

    Are you NUTS??!??!!

Here's Minnesota's rushing D the last 4 games. You think they mailed it in????

Bell will get another heavy dose of touches on the ground.

    carries - rushing yards

    24 - 141

    38 - 161

    19 - 72

    30 - 129

This post was about Toby Gerhart, not Kalil Bell. The shot caller's report said to bench Gerhart, while the projected points said 18, which is why I was trying to start a discussion about it.

  3. Please help for my week 17 championship, standard scoring non-ppr league

Matt Stafford vs GB, or Matt Ryan vs TB

Flex spot: Toby Gerhart vs Chi or Steve Smith vs NO

Rest of Team I plan to start (in case you see a better option):

    RB: Kalil Bell

    WR: Calvin Johnson

    WR: Roddy White

Bench: R. Mathews, D. Thomas, Helu, Burlison

Thanks in advance and I'll let you know how it goes.

  4. Normally I always run with Calvin and Roddy and sometimes use Smith in my Flex spot. I'd prefer to use two RB's this week (Gerhart & Bell) which leaves an odd man out. In a typical week I would sit Smith, however, week 17 Calvin or Roddy may sit some or all their time, which is why I'm asking. I went with Smith last week and he burned me with two points, however, his matchup looks good against NO. All the running Carolina did last week was concerning though. What are your thoughts?

    QB: Stafford, Ryan

    RB: Bell

    Flx: Gerhart

    WR1: Calvin Johnson

    WR2: Roddy White

    TE: Gronkowski

    Def: Ravens

    K: Bryant

Bench: Mathews, Helu, Burlison, Steve Smith, D. Thomas

  5. Thanks for answering my post earlier.

I think Denver will play very well against the bills, but could be a high scoring game with turn overs. The Seattle game will most likely be a low scoring game, but I don't see a lot of turn overs there. Go with your gut on this one!

  6. Sorry, I meant Demaryius Thomas and I was questioning it after he got a total of 9 points in two weeks and was barely getting any looks. I ended up benching both Calvin and the Ravens and still won, although it was a little closer than I wanted. I had a big lead from the week prior (2 week elimination) and just needed to be conservative. I was playing Stafford so I still benefited, however, i was worried if Detroit layed an egg I'd be screwed on two players, so I hedged it. I didn't go into account him going off for 35 points (who did), but figured at best 10-15 and figured Thomas was a cinch to get that and he did. On to the next round and he surely won't be benched for the rest of the year.

  7. In all seriousness....

Do not play games with the fantasy gods. What you think looks obvious on paper is seldom the case when they play the games...especially weeks 16 & 17. I considered throwing a game week 13 that didn't count for me to try and dicate who I played weeks 14 & 15 to start the playoffs. Then I remembered the fantasy gods and how they like to F$*# with my me and so I fielded the best team and won. Looking back, I would have beat them both but would have had a much harder time with the team I originally thought would have been a cake walk.

Like "bring back" said, if you do this and he does well you will never forget it. My disclaimer is that I don't follow CJ at all, but reading the story lines you posted shows me a player who may try his best to polish the turd of a season he's had by finishing strong. Besides, a freak injury is always just around the corner and sometimes you need the depth.

Play your best team and forget the rest of the nonsense. Just my $0.02.

  8. Am I crazy to be benching Calvin Johnson for Demaryius Moore? I'm leaning towards the hot hand vs a weak pats passing D, but Megatron on my bench just does not look right, but then again he hasn't looked right in a few weeks. I have Stafford for QB, so if he has a huge game I still somewhat benefit.

Also, would you play the Cards Defense verse the Browns or the Ravens Defense vs the Chargers at home?
