Um, considering Bezzerck obviously didn't vote and Fubars can't post in this forum yet, I guess that means I'm the only one that hasn't placed a vote here..... I've been waiting til CA_7 gets back to vote, but if we don't here from Bezzerck by Monday or Tuesday I'm kinda leaning towards giving him the boot. BTW, how many votes does it take for something to be approved or vetoed by the league? I was assuming 8 of 12 must agree on something in order to get it passed or denied...... Since only 11 would be voting on this I guess it would be 7 votes needed to get it passed? Just wondering

In one of the threads a couple weeks ago it was mentioned that we could draft veteran players in the rookie section of the draft if we felt like it. I just wanted to make sure thats correct and make sure everybody caught it. My other question is about adding players after the draft. Right now I have 29 total picks which means I would have one open spot on my roster. Would I be able to pick up that 30th player as soon as the draft ends or will I have to do through a waivers process? If there's is a waivers process how will the order be determined and when does it start? TIA

I completey forgot that my brother, some friends and I got tickets for a Phillies on that day over a month ago(Im pretty sure it's that day). I will be able to make my pick(s) on that day, but if you're wondering why it may take a few hours it's because I'm at the Phils game.

Singman's from Mich, not sure about JB. Fubar's isnt any where near WI. Shugar 42 has been a friend of mine for years and anyone who has been in a league with either of us knows that we dont pull any BS on anyone. Same goes with Rayder, he used to live a few houses away and moved but we do leagues every year and he won't quit or pull a quick one on anyone. There's nothing to worry about here Sounds good to me Hope I didn't come across as a dick.

Just wondering.....Are Fubars, Singman and JB all from WI or do they just happen to be members of the board interested in joining? I'm probably making too big of a deal about it, but I just wanna make sure there won't be any shady deals being made between friends in the league. When you put money into something that's being done on-line with people you've never met it does become a small concern for me. If you're positive there won't be any BS trades made among friends than it doesn't matter where they are from as long as they are competive players in the league.

I know I said Im with Jwood on this one and I do think he makes good points, but I'm kinda in favor of doing whatever gets this thing moving at the same time. I'm not friends with Bezzerck and I've never seen him posting much on the board so I can't really stand up for the guy. If someone here knows him or can back him and say that he will definetly be in then I'd say wait and see what happens, but it doesn't seem like he has made much of an attempt to let us know what's going on. How long does it take to move even if it is across the country? It's been like 2 or 3 weeks since he has posted anything hasn't it? CA_7 said he won't be back til Sunday or Monday though anyway so I don't see any reason why we can't wait til he's back before making a final decision. I would suggest Smitty sends him an e-mail today and then wait til CA is back to decide if he is in or out. One thing though, I'd like to know who the replacement possibilites are before somebody else simply says their in, the league members should have a say in it or be allowed to veto it if we have reasons for doing so IMO. Where is Fubars from anyway? Please don't tell me it's Eue Claire, WI

I'm with Jwood on this one, but I gotta say that Bezzerck doesn't seem to be handling this all that well. He should have sent his money in and said that he may not be able to post again until a couple days before the draft if that was the situation. If Smitty didn't e-mail him a week or two ago to see if he was staying in the league or not than we probably wouldn't have heard one word from him. One other thing, I thought the original due date for payment was the 14th and it then got pushed up to the 7th a few weeks ago after somebody suggested it. I also agree that we should all be informed/asked about new members joining the league. I'd prefer that they be people from the forums and not a friend of one of ours that we live near. JMO. BTW, I'm still a little lost on how the playoff teams will be decided, can someone explain that to me. I'm assuming the division winners get bye's, but what decides the other four teams decided? Will it be best overall records regardless of division or will it be 2 more teams from both divisions? And how will the tie breakers work for teams with the same record? I know some of this might've been discussed before but apparently I missed it.

Already seeking a replacement. I've heard back from most everyone concering this and I'm glad to hear people don't agree with him. I was very dissapointed with how he threatened me and treated the rest of the league in general. I must've have missed something.....

Ahman is the only back I would've taken over Portis. The only reason I didn't is because Portis is younger and Davenport may steal more of Green's carries this season: Not enough to hurt his production, but it's a Dynasty League and as Green gets older Davenport may take more and more each season. If Deuce starts scoring 12-15 TDs every season he's a great choice, even if he stays around 9 he's a nice pick, but I still would've grabbed Green ahead of him.

Out of curiosity, what did it say about the trade you made with Jwood?

How the hell does that thing work? It's not like it knows what players will fall to each position, doesn't make sense to me....

That was my biggest concern with taking Portis here, but I got to see the Redskins play quite a few times last year and their run blocking actually looked pretty good. I also know Joe Gibbs brought the same O-line coach to his staff that he had when the 'Skins had "The Hogs" up front and I have to believe his presence alone will make the Skins line better this season.

It looks like a very fair trade IMO, Shugar42 dropped in the first but he moved up alot of spots in with everything else included. Depending on who he gets at #11 he may have made out extremely well in that deal. At the same time I think Hoo's made a good move by jumping up to the #3 spot. Good trade for both sides IMO.

I had LT2 above everybody else also, after that I had Portis and another RB ranked about the same and than I felt there was a drop off. In Gibbs' offense Portis will be a threat to run for 100 yards every game and Gibbs' will also let Portis run it in at the goaline instead of passing it 1/2 the time like Shannahan did. When you consider how many TD's Portis had in Denver while losing some goal line carries it's I expect him to easily have 14 this season and he could possibly have as high as 18-20. The other thing is that Portis hasn't played 16 games in a season and yet he has still put up amzing numbers. If you project his stats over 16 games he' b around 1800 or more yards rushing everytime and 16-18 TD's. I'm not saying I expect 1800 rushing, but I feel he it's a very real possibility with him every season. He's also a better receiver than some realize and the fact that he's the youngest of the stud RB's played into a little bit as well.

My pick is in guys, went with Clinton Portis who I think is the consensus pick here. There's actually one guy that was available(other than Holmes) who I had ranked about even with him, but Portis is younger and if he ever plays all 16 games in a season he'll be a threat for 1700 yards or more rushing everytime. He also had about 35 receptions last season in 13 games so I figure he could get about 45-55 in a full season depending on how Gibbs uses him in the passing game. When I traded up to #2 I was hoping LT2 would slip but I wasn't banking on it. I think the top 3 RB's are in a tier above even the guys like Alexander and Deuce and so on. BTW, LT2 was clearly the right choice at #1, I would've loved it if I had gotten him at #2. ---> Also Smitty, don't be surprised if I hve to make some picks here at some point, my computer sucks ass and it took about 5-10 minutes just for the pages to load up and making my pick. It might move quicker if I stayed on after it loaded but if we ever did a few quick rounds with everyone you'd most likely stall for about 7-15 minutes eveytime my pick came up because my computer is so damn slow. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

As long as Dev Doc and Bezzerck are definetly in I'm for starting it as soon as possible. At the very least would could "unofficially" start it by allowing Rayder to make his pick if he wants follwed by everyone else. Kinda of like how the NFL allows the team with the top pick to sign their draft pick before the draft officially starts and then once they do that the team with pick #2 can do the same thing and so and so on.

I should probally just stay out of this, but just to point some things out. I would just let it go, I doubt the rest of the members of this league think this is a bid deal. While football fan said you were dishonest, I don't think any of us felt you did anything wrong. The bottom line is that football fan didn't appear to get what most of us felt he should have for his first round pick. Wether you told him you had another offer that was better or not shouldn't really matter, if football fan thought the deal was unfair than he never should have made it. Like I said in the other thread, I rarely let an owner saying he has a better offer on the table from somebody else effect what I'm willing to give up. You should set a fair price in your head and stick to it, if you really want to make the deal sometimes you decide to give up more than you think you should just to get it done. Anyways, it'd be nice if we didn't have to deal with an argument like this before we even do the draft. Just let it go. As far I'm concerned this isn't going to effect the way I make deals with either of you. Now the two of you shake hands and wish eachother luck in the draft.

I wonder if the people that haven't paid et realize the due date is June 7th
