    Bulger Out?

He's back in. Injured throwing hand though.

    NE is 7-0

You never root against a team? They're human, of course they're going to take a side when watching a game, especially if their legacy is on the line. Tell me about it! I'm also sick of Neil Armstrong walking around, bragging about how he was the first man on the moon ... big deal, that happened, what, 67 years ago?!? Get over yourself, Neil! What the heck has the moon done for us ever? (Yes, I know one is a bit more meaningful than the other, but to the people who accomplished it, they are equally monumental moments in their lives) I know you're just fishing, but what can I say, I'm a sucker for bait.

    NE is 7-0

Could we also say the Pats have had an easy schedule so far? They've beaten one team with a winning record (unless you really consider .500 a winning record), and the teams they've played have a combined 17-28 record. The rest of their season features some better matchups, so I don't think they'll go 16-0. I predict 14-2 (accouting for inevitable injuries), losing to the Colts in Indy in the playoffs.

    Jimmy Kimmel banned from MNF

Why? If someone finds Kornheiser so annoying and distracting that he takes away from THE GAME, then listening to the game on the radio is a good option. The Kornheiser fanboy comeback is always to mute the game, so fine, I'll mute the game and listen to the radio. Hopefully Kornheiser will be gone next year. The best way to do it is if you have a Tivo -- you can pause the game for a few seconds to let the radio catch up. I sometimes do this with the Sirius broadcast -- it kinda sucks, since the sound is on par with AM radio, but at least I don't have to hear the worst voice in MNF history when I'm trying to watch a game.

    Warner hurt- headed to lockeroom

Figured that would happen. I needed a QB, and burned myself relying on him this week. Got me a whole .84 points this week and sealed my fate.

    Vrabel Fined

Cleveland was spiking the ball with 11 seconds left in the game, down by 3 scores. http://youtube.com/watch?v=MoUrOuHj2Vs Looks like Vrabel really wanted to make sure the Browns didn't score 3 times in those 11 seconds (why a valuable starter was in the game for NE at that point, I dunno...), and he got carried away. It's hard to tell whether he was pushed down or made a lunge since he couldn't get around the lineman. But since the league has a much clearer copy of the play, I'm going to assume there was enough evidence that he dove at the QB's legs. Either way, it's a dumb thing to do with 11 seconds left in a blowout, nothing good can come of it.

    Throwback Jerseys

Love the throwbacks. Of course it's just a marketing ploy to sell jerseys, but it's still kind of fun to see teams playing in them, especially if both teams are wearing them. Then again, I like the orange Miami jerseys too, I'm probably the only one.

Eat it, Bills. We got you again!

Well at least the Golden Child was exposed. Too bad it didn't happen when Madden was announcing, I think he would've died of a broken heart.

    Classy Texans DEF

If he had blown his knee and was writhing on the ground in pain, would it have been OK for Green to taunt him? "See what happens when you get blocked by Trent MotherF'n Green?!?" I don't recall Green being flagged for the block. Not sure how anyone can defend a classless move like that, but OK. To each his own.

    Classy Texans DEF

Whether or not the def player thought he got chopped, there's another player lying on the ground, not moving a muscle, obviously hurt badly ... you just don't stand over him and taunt him. I forsee a fine for the jerk.

    MJD Finally Shows Up

Same here, took out Derrick Ward cause he's hurt and sharing time and put MJD in ... gut feeling that he'd do something big today. Hopefully it's not just a tease -- he *does* still only have 4 carries.

The Official "Why Me God?" Thread

0-3 here too. Lost last week by 3 points. If Westbrook had run for 4 more yards, I would've won (100 yard bonus). This week, lost by less than 6 points. Guy I was playing had MB3, Witten, and the Dallas D last night. Take any of their TDs away, and I win. Orrrr, if the Giants don't pull Ward to let Droughns walk into the endzone twice, I win. Sigh.

    Can Pats go undefeated?

Unless they find a new, less-detectable way to cheat, no way they're going undefeated.

We don't need no stinking cameras

They apparently needed them at other times, or they wouldn't have been using them.

Should the Dolphins have kept C-pepp?

If Culpepper had been allowed to compete, we could've seen if he was worth his salary. Instead, Cameron wanted his own QB, with no competition for the spot, and we see how that's working out. He also has no love for Brown, and wants his own guy at RB. In a sense, I understand -- you want your own stamp on a team, not the remnants of a failed coach lingering, stinking up the joint. But I have to question Cameron's eye for offensive talent.

Should the Dolphins have kept C-pepp?

Yeah, Year One of the Cam Era is turning out to be no better than the past 10 years. I think they should've at least given Culpepper a chance at winning the job, instead of relying on a brain-damaged elderly QB. And drafting a punt returner with your first pick? Genius ...
  17. dfin13

    Yes, you have just witnessed....

Colts have won the last 3, I don't like your chances.

    ***Oficial Chargers at Patriots Thread***

I'm sure they've just found some other way to cheat. You think Belicheck only uses one method of cheating? Yes, I'm being facetious. Sure, they're a great team, but from now on, in the back of everyone's mind, there will be that question, "How are they cheating today?" until Belicheck retires.
  19. Not really. It will basically just put them at the level of everyone else with one first round pick (they currently have two). Not only that, the pick that will remain (unless the 49ers somehow do exceptionally well this year) is better than the pick that is being taken away. Had they left them out of the first round entirely, that would've hurt. As it is, having 1 high pick in the first round isn't much of a punishment.
  20. It makes you wonder what else the Patriots did to cheat that hasn't yet been revealed. For that reason alone, there will always be doubt cast on their legacy. And now we can just toss the whole "Winning with class" crap right out the window.

    Trent Green is atrocious

It's an ego thing ... Cameron couldn't give what was Saban's biggest failure (the Culpepper signing) a chance to succeed. He brought in his own choice for QB to show how it's done. Now the Fins are stuck with Fiedler v.2.0.
  22. Is anyone else watching the HD broadcast of this game on Sunday Ticket? All the other games I've checked are perfect, but this game is almost unwatchable with all the distortion and stuttering. And yes, same old Miami offense. Green looks like a rookie. Won't it be funny if Culpepper starts for Oakland this year and lights it up?
  23. dfin13

    Brees, Brees, Brees...

To be fair, you're comparing his first game with the Saints to his 19th. That said, every QB has a few bad games during the season, I agree, no need to panic after getting trounced by the best team in the NFL.

    Kornheiser is an idiot

Not a solution -- I actually like hearing what Jaws has to say. It's that annoying gnat Kornheiser that gets to me. Now, if my mute button could filter our Kornheiser, then we'd be in agreement. Although I used to mute MNF with Madden and sync to the Sirius broadcast of the game. Works great if you don't pause the game at any time. Might give that a shot this year.
  25. dfin13

    Kornheiser is an idiot

It would be almost tolerable if he knew to shut up when the action starts on the field. I don't want to hear his voice once the ball is snapped, but it's there anyway, annoying the piss out of me.
