Championship week from an unlikely team

I'll echo weepaws on this. I am waivering on Gillislee only because I think, like you said, he'll get goal-line touches, but also because I think he'll play a lot in the fourth quarter as I see Buffalo running away with this game...just a hunch.

Need a waiver wire TE for finals. Clay, Cooks, Griffen?

This is a tough one; not because all are good pickups, just that it depends. If CJ can't go for HOU, then definitely go with Griffin. But, you probably wouldn't know until Saturday and the HOU game is the night game. Given the uncertainty, I'd go with Cook. He seems to have a good rapport with Rodgers right now. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=462520

What line up would you guys run with?

Completely understand; however, Hopkins, Jeffery and Garcon have been disappointing the entire season (well, Garcon not so much as I didn't expect him to be any better than he currently is)....would be hard for me to trust them at this point. That said, I wouldn't have any issue with you starting Inman over Baldwin, either.

    Tough Decisions This Week

My league utilizes a cumulative 2 week semi-final and cumulative 2 week championship format starting last week. So, the semi-final started last week and continues this week and I am currently leading 126 to 85, which makes my decisions for this week a bit less critical as I really do not see losing by more than 40 points this week. That said, I do have some key decisions to make at QB/RB/WR. Standard scoring. 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1FLEX Mariotta or Winston LBell, Zeke, DMurray, CHyde Cooper, Dez, Watkins, TyWilliams, TyHill, AJGreen I just cannot see a way of starting both Mariotta and Murray as I think KC will be able to stop one of them....problem is, which one. I'm inclined to still go with Mariotta as it seems TB has focused more on the running game than the passing game and Winston has been very mediocre the last few weeks. As far as the receivers, after last week, I really want to bench both Cooper and Bryant and go with TyHill and Watkins. Green intrigues me, but it will be messy weather in Cincy this week (possible snow and COLD) and I just don't see the passing game being very strong for either team this week. For the running backs, I am really considering swapping Murray for Hyde, but, I'm not sure it's the best play. Anyway, thoughts are appreciated...as I said, the good thing is that I don't need to 'win' this week to move on....as long as I don't lose by more than 40 points (I'm projected to win 124 to 100), so I really doubt that happens, but you never know. I'm hoping Pittsburgh saw the light last week and just hands the ball to Bell to get 150+ and 2TDs this week. Lastly, given my current stable of RB, do I drop Forte at this point? I really see no way he's starting the remainder of the year and I could pick up a defense to stream in weeks 15/16 (Pittsburgh vs BAL/CLE, New England vs NYJ/Mia or Kansas City vs CLE/SD). I just picked up the Bills for this week vs CLE and they also then have NYJ/MIA on their schedule for the championship. Other potential options for dropping Forte would be Jeffery, Inman, Farrow, Montgomery...but, would any of those guys start over who I have?

    Which two RBs to start?

Gore and Coleman You're going to see a heavy run offense from Indy this week to 'protect' Luck.

    Flex help WHIR

gotta go with what weepaws stated.

    Which QB to start? ?

Wow, this time of the year and you need to make this decision. It's a tough one and I don't like ANY of those three options for this week. The weather is not an issue in Seattle tonight. The best part of the LA defense is their run stoppage (best meaning not the worst), so, I think Wilson will get his. Roll with Wilson.

    Which two WRs to start?

    Ditto to weepaws
  10. luckyheel317

What line up would you guys run with?

I will assume 2RB, 2WR and a FLEX. Given that assumption: Bell, Blount Baldwin, Gabriel Powell

    Zeke's Handcuff

With only 8 carries in 5 weeks for Dallas, is Alfred Morris still Zeke's handcuff? Dunbar got some run on Sunday and I'm wondering if I even need to worry about Morris playing in weeks 15/16 once Dallas clinches home field. With my RB (Zeke, LBell, DMurray, Forte and Hyde), outside of Zeke, I can't see any of the other teams 'resting' their players since they are either out of the playoffs or still fighting for a playoff spot, but will Morris even play for me given my other RB?

    Best defense for this week

Cincy Let me say that there is still a chance they do not put up HUGE numbers vs CLE, they most certainly will not hurt you and should give you a minimum of 5-6 points just on the amount of points/yards they will limit LA to.

    QB toss up! Thoughts?

Whether Fox 'lays on the ball' as you say or not, I cannot see them winning the clock battle just running the ball. Detroit's D is legit and I think there will be many, many, many 3 and outs for CHI giving Stafford multiple opportunities to put up big numbers. That said, I'm rolling with Winston in a division game where Tampa has to win at least 3 out of 4 to have a chance of making the playoffs. I think this is another huge Winston/Evans game...would not even be surprised if Winston goes over 400 and Evans 200.

Drop AJ Green to handcuff Zeke?

This has been my point/dilemma this year. I have LBell, Zeke, DMurray, Forte and Hyde. I got Bell after he returned and I didn't have DWilliams start. That said, I saw/see no point in handcuffing either Bell or Zeke given the fact that if they both were to go down, Forte and Hyde, in my opinion, are better starting options than Morris/Williams at this point in the year. I mean, worst case, I lose 3 RB in the next few weeks, but if that happens, the fantasy gods weren't in my favor this year anyway. I figure Zeke will be rested in the next few weeks, but even if I had Morris, I cannot envision starting him over any of my other reserve backs.

    1st week of playoffs

Couple of questions: Already going into this week with Zeke, LBell, Cooper and Dez. Need to decide on QB, Flex and D need 1 - Winston vs NO or Mariotta vs DEN need 1 - Forte vs SF, Hyde vs NYJ or DMurray vs DEN need 1 - Patriots vs BAL, Atlanta vs LA or Cincy vs CLE Thanks, in advance.

    Defense Question:

Did you see last night's game? NO WAY IN HELL I'd go with NYJ even if they were playing Alabama. They gave up and have nothing to play for the rest of the way.
  20. luckyheel317

    Defense Question:

Gotta roll with Cincy vs RGIII and Cleveland Also, Packers are against SEA, not NE. BAL is playing NE.

    Playoff WR pick-up

Mitchell Brady will HAVE to spread it around over the next few weeks given the opponents. Sure, the two jimaveli mention will get theirs, but Mitchell will not be given as much attention as those two and he's already shown his ability with Brady recently. With Atlanta fighting for a division/playoff spot, unless his toe keeps him from getting his shoe on, I can't see how Julio doesn't play and will get the most passes thrown his way. Gabriel is a high risk, high reward and I think Mitchell is low risk medium reward. Plus, keep an eye on Williams. I would not be surprised to see SD bench him the rest of the year to prevent further injury. They are out of the playoff race and have no reason to gamble with his health.

    Amari Cooper in the Playoffs

Cooper a disappointment? You must have very, very, very lofty expectations. He's just shy of 1000yds (good for 6th in the league) w/4TDs (top 30). Sure the TD numbers are down, but that's more of a function of Carr spreading the wealth and Cooper getting more attention this year than his performance. He's caught 65% of the passes thrown his way, which is better than guys like Julio, Evans, Odell, Jordy... As for the matchup....if you look at the numbers, KC is the worst (YES, THE WORST) vs WR this year fantasy-wise. This will be the game that Cooper and Crabtree get multiple TDs each and Murray has less than 50yds rushing. Week 6 vs KC, Cooper had 129 rec yds. Cooper is your best bet the rest of the way. Williams would have been, but I really think SD shuts him down as they are effectively out of the playoff race and will not likely risk further injury to him. Here's mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=461818

    Looking Ahead

to week 15. My current QBs are Mariotta and Winston. I have Winston going this week for obvious reasons and then will also be rolling with him for week 14 with an appetizing game versus NO on the schedule (Mariotta has DEN). My question is for the following week. In week 15, Mariotta is @KC and Winston is @DAL. Should I pick up Palmer who has NO on his schedule that week or do I roll with either Winston or Mariotta? Neither matchup has "guaranteed" written next to it, but I feel Palmer has a better chance of putting up big numbers. I'd be dropping Watkins to get him since it seems to be pretty clear he's not fully healed.

    Strategic Lineup Question

So, my opponent this week has Mike Evans and I have Jameis Winston going in place of Mariotta. So, any TD passes to Evans will essentially be cancelled out by me getting the same for Winston...my question is whether I should do the same if my opponent plays Alex Smith. I just picked up Tyreek Hill and Watkins to go with my current WR of Cooper, Dez and TyWilliams. I'm not fond of either matchup for Cooper and Dez, but will ride them if it's the best thing to do. I was wondering though, whether I should play Hill in place of either Cooper or Dez just so that I have the likely WR to catch Smith's TD passes. Of his 10 TD passes, 4 have gone to Hill, 3 to Kelce, 1 to Maclin and 1 to Wilson. Obviously, Maclin is out of play now and Wilson is not a reliable candidate for TDs, so that really leaves just Hill and Kelce with Hill being the only true downfield threat. So, if my opponent goes with Smith, do I roll with Hill or not....and, in general, which 2 receivers do I go with this week?

    Drop AJ Green or Jeffery?

10 team standard scoring, start 2 WR and FLEX. Typically, my flex is occupied by one of my RB (Zeke, LBell, DMurray, Forte, Hyde) and I'm only starting 2WR. My WR are Bryant, Cooper, Jeffery, AJ Green and TyWilliams. Would you drop Jeffery and/or Green to pick up Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins and/or Taylor Gabriel?? I don't like Gabriel's outlook this week vs KC, but he has LA, SF, CAR and NO on the schedule after this week. Hill has ATL this week and then also has OAK, TEN, DEN and SD. Watkins has OAK, PIT, CLE, MIA and NYJ left. Jeffery is out 2 more weeks and then has GB, WSH and MIN Green is just a gamble....not sure I trust his status week to week, especially into the playoffs THOUGHTS?
