Our family tradition growing up was the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. We'd check out the livestock show in the arena and then head over to the Astrodome for the rodeo and performances. I wish I had a list of all the performers we saw over the years, but I know they included Lee Greenwood, Glen Campbell, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Wayne Newton, Buck Owens, Roy Clark and focking Sonny and Cher. Cher had a little closet out on stage, and she'd go in there to change between songs. I remember thinking, "Man, she's naked in there with all these people watching!" I wish my parents had taken us to see Elvis when he was there in 1970 and 1974.
