This league is certainly not a 'normal' fantasy league - it is a lot more in depth than your typical league. This league is a salary cap contract league. We are pinned to the NFL salary cap, and our free agency is an 'auction draft' rather than a snake. You bid with your cap space and high bidder wins, but you cannot exceed the salary cap. This league is set up to mimic a real NFL GM experience as closely as possible without being overly complicated. This is a 32 team league that is split into 2 16 team conferences with their own player pool. The only interaction between conferences is when they play each other in the Super Bowl. We have full 46 man rosters (required to be at 46 every week by kickoff on Sundays) and we start a full IDP lineup. Starting lineups are 24 players including 10 Offense, a Kicker, a Punter, and 12 IDPs. We also have 16 taxi squad spots. As a new owner you would be taking part in a dispersal draft to start. This draft is of players that were still under contract on teams who had their owners leave. Each new owner will have a draft from this pool of players so you have a say in how you start instead of just taking over whatever is there. As a result, a new owner will receive year 1 for free (2025). The dues would be $0 for 2025 and a $150 refundable deposit for 2026 (refundable to the extent we have people willing to pay to take your spot) If you decide to leave after 2025 and you find someone willing to pay full price to take your place, you'd get the whole $150 back from 2026 deposit. We always pay a year in advance. All league dues run through Leaguesafe with a majority rule payout. I currently have 7 orphaned teams in the NFC with 5 spots already taken - So 2 spots left to fill. These 2 spots are a result of the 2 owners missing the payment deadline, so these spots are FCFS for whoever pays first. All league funds are run through Leaguesafe with Majority rule payout. We use MFL as a platform. This league will have 32 teams split into two 16 team conferences each with their own player pool. I've got 10 years experience as a commissioner of these type of leagues.
