So I just watched the Netflix documentary on the Hulk Hogan sextape trial, and I found myself thinking IDGAF if his defense was bankrolled by Peter Thiel and structured to put Gawker out of business. Putting a sextape out there without the consent of the people depicted for clicks under the auspices that it's newsworthy is reprehensible and those turds got what they deserved. While it smacks a bit of oligarchy, it is not a First Amendment issue for a rich folks to use their $$ to sway the news either by what Thiel did or what Roger Ailes did or by what Ted Turner did. Clearly, every MSM outlet owned by a billionaire or conglomerate is subject to this, so finding trustworthy and independent journalism is a skill that everyone should acquire (and I'm heartened by Ray's link to NPR). These fockers, however, used the power of the government to harass and intimidate a legit news organization in clear contradiction of the Constitution, and anyone involved should be prosecuted for that crime.

They got these dudes so dead to rights that they're all pleading guilty even thought they're facing anywhere from 60-120 years depending on the charges each faced. The scary part is they likely would have gotten away with it had the one cop not decided to stick his gun in the victim's mouth and shoot him.

While it's admirable that the victims are taking the high road, it seems pretty clear to me from the video that the attack was racially motivated. Should she be charged with a hate crime in addition to two felony assault charges? Maybe, and the reason I say maybe is less the color of her skin or her circumstances as a minority, and more that she's still a kid and potentially redeemable. She did turn herself in to face the music.

I interpreted it as popular movies of the last 20 years

I enjoyed the narrative running through each of the movies culminating in Avengers: End Game, I thought that was decently done. Filling in after the conclusion interests me less, and a lot of the multiverse stuff is too convoluted. I will say that Spiderman: No Way Home bringing back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield alongside Tom Holland was pretty innovative and I enjoyed it.

Out of all the things they take money from my paycheck to pay for, this would be something I would not find objectionable.
