This sounds a little like The No Child Left Behind Act, that basically ended up lowering standards for all students, and had schools more concerned about the data they had to turn in the state instead of actual outcomes for students.

In the fall of 2021 the wife and I went to the Telluride Blues and Brews festival (headliners Lucas Wilson, Samantha Fish, Larkin Poe). After the festival we spent a few days in Ouray, rented a Jeep, and went over Imogene Pass (13,114 ft.) It was a beautiful day, and the trip was relatively easy as long as you’re not the type to get weak in the knees at heights… Some pretty steep drop offs.
