Incredibly short sighted boyo. We can't leave it up to private business to ensure the health of the public. Private business will always act for the benefit of its principals or shareholders. Government has a duty to act for the well being of its citizens. To dumb it down, a pharma company is only going to spend money on research where they feel they can make that money back x fold. So when bird flu is rampant you're gonna blame pharma for not having a vaccine when the government could have easily funded it.

Canceling research funding and vaccine planning is not oversight boyo. It is eliminating vaccines that would otherwise save lives. Trump is killing Americans.
