Inaccurate. Colombia never refused to accept migrants. They refused to accept migrants shackled and unloaded on a military plane. You talk about "cushy" commercial flights but the military option cost over $800k instead of a few thousand for commercial flights. DOGE would not like this. Trump wanted to make a spectacle of it and Petro told him to eat his own balls. Trump threatened, Petro threatened back. Trump caved on the military flights, Petro said he'll pick them up personally. The news reports incorrectly that those military flights resumed but they did not. Maybe don't trust the MSDNC anymore

This should be updated that instead of the charter jet, Colombia sent their own jet to get them to make sure they are treated humanely. Biden sent migrants back to Colombia for years, it was never a thing until Trump decided he wanted to make it an episode on his reality show.

Foreign aid? We spend less than 1% of our budget on Foreign aid. We're not ignoring any problems to fund other countries. 1% boyo. Drop in the bucket. And we don't need to give foreign aid to make friends. It's still good to have allies, friends and make beneficials deals and we don't need to use foreign aid to do so.
