Likewise. I've seen them a few times and the first time (2000) was amazing. I seen them a few years later and they were dog crap. I don't know if Vedder was trashed or acting but he was stumbling all over the stage, messing up lyrics, etc. The crowd was booming and doing E-A-G-L-E-S chants the entire show. I've seen them again thereafter and they were good.

They aren't the best songwriters.

I wouldn't call them Grunge exactly but The Pumpkins are by far the best of that era. Great songwriting, complicated arrangement, etc. Siamese Dream is an all timer.

Sorry, let me clarify. That was their peak as a Live band IMO. Their last good studio album was Vitalogy in my opinion. That was a great album.
