Are you serious? Do you think there are no Federal Background Checks required to purchase a firearm in SC? SC (SLED) is very strict and thorough. Read my other post on just some of the background requirements.

You don't have to have one here in SC but I am permitted through SLED which means I've taken the required firearm training, passed all of the federal background checks, etc. Because of this it takes me 10 minutes to purchase a weapon. They run my name through the data base and if it comes up clean, I can purchase as many guns as I want, in minutes. That's exactly how it should be.
