    McCown Remains Starter

Tough matchup this week, but at least Dennis is going with the only QB he's won with during his tenure at AZ. http://www.azcardinals.com/news/news_details.html?iid=3167 McCown Remains Starter In His Return to Home State The Arizona Cardinals returned to the practice field Wednesday, October 26th for a midday practice in full pads. The team is preparing to take on a very physical Dallas Cowboys squad this Sunday at Texas Stadium. “I think it is going to be a defensive game,” commented Cardinals Head Coach Dennis Green following practice. “A low scoring game clearly favors the underdog and we are the underdog. We look forward to going down there for the game. It is a great place to play.” The Cardinals announced today that quarterback Josh McCown will remain the starter when he returns to his home state of Texas this weekend. “I’m excited about going back home to Texas, plus my wife is from Dallas,” added McCown. “I’m going to be able to see our families and for me growing up there I always enjoyed watching the Cowboys. As a kid growing up in Texas you dream about playing for the Cowboys but I guess the next best thing is to go to Texas Stadium and play against the Cowboys so I’m looking forward to it. McCown traveled with the team to Dallas two seasons ago as the back up to quarterback Jeff Blake, but is looking forward to his opportunity to start this Sunday. “I got excited when I was there a couple of years ago when I was the back up,” admitted McCown. “I just got excited just being there, so now going in as the starter it will be different. You have to just check your emotions and not get too excited. It is still a football game and you have to go out there and execute.” The Cards offense will face a tough challenge against an aggressive Cowboys defense that is stacked with talented players and that has played well in a competitive NFC East division. “They are playing at a very high level,” added McCown. “With their front seven they do a good job moving around. (La’Roi) Glover does a good job inside. (Demarcus) Ware has really come on for them as a rookie. He doesn’t really even look like a rookie and he’s doing a good job for them. Then their secondary has Roy Williams holding it down at the safety position, as well as Keith Davis who I played college ball with. Their defense is one of the better ones in the league.” In order to have success this weekend, McCown knows the Cards must play mistake free football. “You just have to play smart football,” confirmed the former Sam Houston State quarterback. “When you can play smart football you can give yourself a chance to win especially when you are playing a good defense like Dallas. So that is our plan, to go out and play smart against them.”
  5. There's a major problem with your sig. The only two respected and recognized polls in the country (AP & USA Today/Coaches Poll) both have USC ranked as the #1 team in the country.....BY A LANDSLIDE. Now, some might even recognize the new "Harris" poll as being legitimate. So, I'll go ahead and include them in my breakdown for you: Harris Poll: USC 95 1st place votes Texas 18 1st place votes USA Today/Coaches Poll: USC 53 1st place votes Texas 8 1st place votes AP Poll: USC 55 1st place votes Texas 10 1st place votes If you are throwing your support behind the BCS rankings.......than you also must support these hilarious rankings (there is no middle ground.....either you agree with these rankings used to make up the BCS rankings....or.....you would agree with the other 99.9% of the population that the overall BCS rankings are a joke): #6 Oregon (Sagarin) #25 Oregon (Billingsley Report/Index) #5 Wisconsin (Billingsley Report/Index) #5 USC (Colley's) #20 Stanford (Colley's) #23 Notre Dame (Colley's) #19 Florida State (Massey's Ratings) #22 Oklahoma and their 4-3 record (Massey's) #23 Notre Dame (Massey's) #21 Notre Dame (Peter Wolfe) Have a nice day and........Fight On!

Texasmouth: URGENT! Must read to save face!

First off, I doubt it. The truth is your parents lived there. Second, I don't live in Texas. I live in Las Vegas and I doubt houses there are that much more than this God foresaken place. And before you even say it.... I am in the military, that is why I live here. I am trying my best to get back to Texas. Oh yeah, and Texas Still wins. This time ~40~ to 20. Are you kidding? I could buy a 4000 sq. ft. estate home in Vegas for what I'd pay for a condo here in San Clemente, CA. This personal stuff is crap..........back to football. USC 38 Texas 20 WOODSHED BABY!!

Wow, great post with good info. Everyone who knows anything knows California is the promise land for homo's. Ass clown. We do have our share of "homo's". In fact, one famous one played QB at ucla and later for the Dallas Cowgirls. Need a hint.......her initials are T.A. No her initials are 3SB as in 3 super bowls you jealous California homo. PS Aikman wasn't FROM cali. zzzzz. you live in Texas man. Nothing you can say can hurt because you live in the hottest, stickiest, and most completely ignorant state in the USA. I don't even wish my worst enemies live in such a pissy state. I seriously feel sorry for you and everyone in Texas. ps. Be carefull crossing the street on a red light. I hear they give you the death penalty for that in Texas. The Longhorns suck. USC will absolutely destroy them if Texas is lucky enough to make the national championship. You losers haven't won one since the 70's and won't win another until the 2070's. btw. In cali we have a couple teams called The Raiders (2) and 49er's (4) who have won superbowls. I'm sure even a texan can add 2+4 and it doesn't equal less then 3. Uhhh, yeah and The Cowboys have won 5 on their own. ######. I am sure you have never even been to Texas to start with. I at least lived in California for 3 years. It was horrible. The smog was horrible, the people are either liberal homo loving granola eating sissies or gangbanging douchebags shooting each other and rapping. Stay in Cali with the horrible taxes, over priced everything and plenty of liberal homos to support each other. We don't want anymore of you in Texas anyway. You are a complete idiot if you think USC would just destroy Texas. There is nothing to support that. You are just babbling stupidity. Again, don't let your moronic homerism cloud your judgement. I swear I say that once a day. Douche. My fiance is from Kingwood Texas (suburb of houston) and graduated from UT. I've been there several times with her for family fun times. We were actually thinking of moving back to Texas where we could buy a 5 bedroom 2500 sq. ft. house for around 300k compared to 1,000,000+ here in Orange County, CA. She finally pursuaded me that no amount of money was worth moving back to such a pisshole state. Thank god she talked some sense into me. We're talking about Texas vs. USC anyways. USC = 7 Time National Champion (8 after this year) compared to 3 for UT. You have no arguement because Texas has accomplished nothing yet. Get back to me in 2 months when/if UT is playing USC for the title. Until then continue making your laser guided bombs to blow up 3rd world countries so you and all your fat buddies in Texas can get their oil money. Us liberal morons in California will continue our agenda of taxing all those old conservative fat oil tycoons for revenue instead of bombing innocent people (which you seem so blatantly proud to be a part of) mobb deep.......OC in the house baby! San Clemente here!! Not too many "homo's", "shootings" or "rappers" out here in San Clemente. As for smog...I'm 2 minutes from the ocean.....so.....forget about it. Although, we do have the best climate in the nation! Go easy on Texasmouth........he's not quite as fortunate as we are.

LOL...........we heard the same thing from "Big Ten" fans prior to putting the SMACK DOWN on the Hawkeye's in 2003 Orange Bowl. Then, prior to the 2004 Rose Bowl Michigan fans were talking about how big and strong they were.....how they would cram it down our throats......guess what? Didn't happen........again......VICTORY for the Trojans . Best of all was prior to last years Orange Bowl verse Chokelahoma....all the commentators.....and all the weakass Big 12 fans.......talking it up about their defense....Big 12 football......A. Peterson.....etc. etc. I guess I don't need to remind anybody that USC had them begging for the game to end in the 3rd quarter. It was a laugher.......a complete joke of a game. Fight On!

Jeff Garcia, QB DET - Week 8

This week will be tough against that Bears D, but...........the majority of the remaining schedule looks great. I'm in a 12 teama start 2 QB's league and snatched up Garcia of the WW (and I'm happy about it).
  12. Outside of the obvious....(Harrison).......what's the status of the Pats secondary? Is Tyrone Poole expected to play? If not, would this be much of an impact?

Just in case you didn't know

Some inane comments in this thread but I will repond to the latest. Vince Young is a very good passer, not sure which advertisement you are watching. Texas' Defense is much better than ou's of last year, USC was on fire last year in the championship, guys catching balls on the ground. Tech's offense, at least was #1 in the country. They can only play who is on their schedule. Notre Dame all but matched usc's juggernut, as usc squeaked a win outta that one. Are you saying they don't practice several times a week? Get real dude. I am looking forward to a matchup on the field, I don't see usc stopping Texas a whole lot, I do see Texas stopping usc more than not. Lots of games to be played. As long as Texas and usc win out, they will be 1-2 in the BCS. They are obviously 1-2 best teams in the country. So it is working this year. I would prefer to have a playoff system. But the only argument I can see valid for the bcs is that the whole season is a playoff, one loss and you are out. Unless everyone else has a loss, then it is a big mess again. HOOK 'EM LMAO at EVERYBODY that talks trash about their "Big 10", "Big 12", "SEC", defenses stopping the Trojans. If I recall, Oklahoma's D was regarding as top 1 or 2 in the nation last year prior to USC hanging 55 on them and calling off the dogs late in the 3rd quarter (easily could have been 70). Fight On!!

Just in case you didn't know

LMAO..........outside of the Longhorns........there's not a team in the Big 12 that finishes TOP THREE in the Pac 10. Give me a break. Outside of USC and MAYBE UCLA, nobody in the Pac 10 would finish in the top three in the Big 12 where defense is actually played. Oklahoma gave that game to UCLA...the same team that went to overtime with BAYLOR and we don't need to reminded what Texas Tech did to Cal. Same old crap......the "PAC 10 is all finesse"...argument. Then, come bowl season.....when the PAC 10 hangs 40-60 points a game on Big 10 & Big 12 teams........everybody shuts up. Bottom line: Out here in the PAC 10 we're just smarter than the rest of "ya'all". Back-2-Back & soon to be 3-PETE (yes, "PETE"). Fight On!

Let's see, Texas beat #4 OSU and #7 Texas Tech and Oklahoma at a nuetral site. The Pac 10 is a joke outside of USC. TEXAS #1 Lets see: USC is #1 UCLA is #8 Oregon is #14 Cal is 6-2 Yes, the Pac 10 is a joke. FYI: Ohio State has TWO LOSSES = Deserve their #14 ranking Texas Tech is/was a FRAUD! They've beaten NOBODY! Oklahoma is a JOKE! Texas is a good team......no doubt.......just like Iowa in 2003 (Orange Bowl), Michigan in 2004 (Rose Bowl), and Oklahoma in 2005 (Orange Bowl). There's a reason USC has won 29 straight games.........THEY'RE JUST BETTER THAN EVERYBODY ELSE! Fight On!

    Defensive Rankings Problem

I had the same issues...........what's up with Miami at #3?
  21. Not sure what happened above..........the "body" of my post went "poof"! The question was/is regarding QB distance scoring. My league gives 6pts for a passing TD......and an additional 6 pts for TD passes 50+ yards in length. So, in the column for "QB Passing TD Distance Scoring" do I input "6" (for the bonus) or "12" for the total pts awarded?? Please advise. Thanks!
  22. The box just flashes at me (in blue) and I get a blue "D12" in the box. What's up?? Help ASAP............thanks!

Trying to input "-3" under QB scoring

Note: I can enter the "-2" under "fumbles lost" no problem....but, can't get it accomplished in the "INT thrown" box.
