Vikings offered 2009 and 2010 first round picks for Brady Quinn
mathja replied to Jags_win_this_year's topic in FFToday Board
How many picks did the vikes give up for jared allen? and they were going to give up 2 #1's for Quinn?? Not the greatest way to build a team -- are they really that close to championship caliber? -
Is Kevin Smith going to start seeing the ball more, or is Rudi the guy? I don't have either player, but am considering picking up Rudi for a 1-week bye filler because of the Houston matchup this week. I guess a detroit player is never a great idea though.
-
I think Ronnie will be more steady, but MJD will have a few huge weeks.
-
Just traded for braylon edwards last week to fill in for boldin while he's out. I'm tied for high point total this week ($100 to the winner). he has brandon jacobs. i have edwards. another guy is 2 points behind us and has jamal lewis. i'm 49 points up in my head-to-head, but he's got Eli, Boss and the Giants D. Go Braylon!!! Pretend it's last year!!!!
-
a lot of chatter on the bills board about Tony G shuffling off to Buffalo to play tight end for them.
-
I will win my head-to-head matchup...but to win high point total for the week (and $100), I need Brees to go nuts and Bush to be held in check....So, a lot of Brees to Henderson and Brees to Lance Moore and Brees to Bobby Meachem.
-
The dolphins kept LT and the Chargers offense off the field. they never got into a rhythm. it is happening too much though.
-
What kind of performance do you expect out of Toomer? Will he be Eli's go-to guy?
-
because eli will surely look to target the guy who probably has less than 20 catches in his career (resorting to sarcasm) over the guy who has been reliable for...well, forever.
-
I think I might play him with Boldin out...it's the perfect 1-week fill-in. I'm just not sure if there is a better waiver option than Toomer if you only need a guy for the week. Everyone else is just "Not a Toomah."
-
i've been in a league with basically the same guys for 15 years. there has never once been a reason to veto a trade. It needs to be AMAZINGLY obvious that there is collusion to even consider it.
-
if i were offered AJ in a trade and Moss in another one for the same player, i'd more quickly accept the AJ offer. So, in a nutshell, I value AJ more. I just don't like Moss that much when his heart isn't in it. And, if the Pats aren't winning this year and Cassel isn't that good, I don't think Moss' heart will be in it. Moss is a front runner and plays harder when things are going well. Most people do, but look at his numbers in Oakland when things weren't going well. Did has talent vanish then? Nope...he just didn't feel like playing.
-
I traded Slaton and Eli Manning (I have brees) for MJD after Slaton had the 1 good week....I'm defininitely nervous about that deal now.
-
I have LT and I wouldn't do that deal. Moss is not Moss from last year.
-
I helped start a company in 1994 called Wall Street Sports. Exact same concept. It was before the internet was really big. And the SEC didn't love us. anyway, their timing is better than mine.
-
i have both...believe it or not, i might give the slight edge to boldin right now based on the way the cardinals are throwing the ball and all the games against the wide-open, higher scoring teams in the nfc west.
-
have fitz and boldin...wanted to break up that duo since right after draft night (boldin's value was too good to pass up on with the first pick in the 5th round). anyway, i can obtain braylon edwards for Anquan...is that a good buy low, sell high?
-
Braylon has been terrible and Boldin performing well. When the season started, I really didn't want to have both Cardinal receivers. Should I trade Anquan for Braylon? Is this a good sell high, buy low?

I am really comfortable with ronnie brown as my flex player for the rest of the year. I am pretty sure he will be a solid play for you if you have a flex spot. I'm pretty well sold on him as an rb#2 as well. i'd take ronnie brown or fwp over the uncertainty of steve slaton. i think i like both better than graham too, but it's close.
-
i think i'm going LT too.
-
why even dress if you're going to be a shell of yourself...I've got to believe that LT suited up because he thinks he can contribute..If he can't, rest up, come back strong and let Sproles do the job for now.... I have both guys and this "limited" crap is crap!!!
-
Ronnie Brown and Steve Slaton are on my bench...LT and Julius are starting.
-
I'm saying I'm not sure. I do know that there are differrent levels of being injured and i do know that coaches in the NFL like to play games with the information they provide or don't provide. Would it completely shock me if LT ran for 160 yards and 3 td's on Monday night after saying his toe hurt all week? No, it wouldn't.
-
NFL coaches never want to give up information. Whatever is said about LT's injury is part of the gamesmanship, whether it's more or less serious than they're saying. If it really is feeling better, the Chargers have an excuse to pretend it's bad so the jets have to guess whether he'll be in there or not. Mangini might have to spend a little more time preparing for packages with Sproles rather than focus solely on LT. (Though they probably have similar packages for their styles). Anyway, think Belechek and Shanahan -- nothing that comes out of their mouth in regard to an injury is completely accurate. LT could be playing opossum...or he's really banged up...none of us will really know until after the games are played.
-
Actually, LT is my #1...just need a solid contributor at rb#2 and I think ronnie will start to become the feature back and put up some points in a ppr league...nothing spectacular, just enough.
