Fashionable foreigners exposing Ohioans to new culinary experiences
jonnyutah replied to Fireballer's topic in The Geek Club
It is in the same link. 2020 shows only 3 simple assaults. I think we can both agree thats an error, the surrounding years are over a thousand each iirc. I dont really push the whole municipalities stopped reporting thing. I never focus on the cleared results or the arrest rates or the other metrics. I try to go by two datasets and compare them to trends and check them to public reporting. Both involve crime and victim reports because those are the most constant metrics. They are also immune to prosecutorial misconduct, which is rampant. Sure false reporting happens. False rape reports, false hate crimes, false whatever. Grifters always gonna grift. But in the end those are blips when you get big enough sets and they pale in comparison to the largest gap there is in crime reporting right now. The apathetic victim. The person that gets mugged and goes about their business because they dont want to waste their time on top of what already happened to them. You will probably brush that off, but it is exactly what formed all of my opinions on crime today. As I spoke to countless victims that never bothered reporting to the police. Want to see how messed up we are regarding this? Go join a neighborhood facebook page pretty much anywhere in America. Tell people you got your car broken into. Say you are unsure if you locked the door or not, can't remember. Tell them you had your garage door opener in your car and that they stole your tools from your garage. Watch and see how many people criticize you and dont care at all about your stuff getting stolen. Those are the people voting for the DAs letting everybody go and that is why people dont bother calling the police anymore, but will certainly report they have been robbed when they dont have to be questioned by police. -

You are getting played by people with an agenda. Yes i am sure the city made a major reporting change that somehow all you can find info about is a quote in the dayton daily news minimizing the crime increases that he is measured against, lol. Yep. You got it. "Reads to me" lol. Of course it reads to you that way, you want it to be true. You need it to be true. What he says about aggravated assault is incorrect from the get go. Probably intentional, but maybe because it was new. But aggravated assault has never always required a weapon as he stated. That goes against Ohio state law, and is obviously not what he meant. Which of course explains why there isnt a single link documenting such a policy previously for Springfield. But if you read the changes from SRS manuals to NIBRS you know exactly the difference the guy is talking about. Quick google snippets... "The National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) defines aggravated assault as an unlawful attack where the offender uses a weapon or displays it in a threatening manner, or the victim suffers severe bodily injury" SRS... "An unlawful attack by one person upon another for the purpose of inflicting severe or aggravated bodily injury. This type of assault usually is accompanied by the use of a weapon or by means likely to produce death or great bodily harm" Pretty easy to see he is talking about the crime reporting changes involved here not some other fictitious springfield only super secret unannounced swearsies for real miss reporter. And obviously the only increase due to reporting would be when a weapon was threatened during an assault but not used. Under new rules that is automatically reported as aggravated assault. That probably happens only like .5% of the time maybe .7%? Just a guess, totally out of thin air. What was the expected increase again? Oh yeah, .6%. Good guess by me there. So close. Dishonest people in a bind often try to grasp at silly little things like that. Hey policeman why has crime gone up so much, what are you going to do about it??? Hey thats not fair its counted different, please don't probe, please dont probe please dont probe, yay interview over, yay liberal reporter no follow up! Lol. This is a lie!!! Crime going up 6%(7.6% for all violent crime) when the state is reporting 5% decline is nothing. Look away, all lies!! Liars! Say youre sorry for reporting these lies! Now if this was all due to data changes then we should see a decrease in 2021 in simple assault cases to offset. Basically joe friday saying they previously didnt count aggravated assaults unless it was And/and/and. But we see an over ten fold increase in simple assaults from 2020 to 2021*??? Brakes screeching....what??!!!! How can this be? How??? *As much as I wanted to make your head explode here and have you dig into this only to find this truly is a data reporting issue, it is actually like a 300x increase, lol, i know you would have never believed I was just messing with you on this one. -

That's an article where a woman from the NAACP and the local Police captain want to minimize the crime increases. And yes crime reporting switched from 2020 to 2021 from the SRS system to the NIBRS system. And yes aggaravated assault numbers would have gone up due to this change. According to this the anticipated change was .6% If you look at the link i provided earlier it showed you the entire state of Ohio. If you look at the change, it barely edged up. Springfield has sizeable increases both years. Thats not explainable due to data reporting changes, especially when compared to the state data. -

You see tim once again in the context of this discussion it doesnt really matter. I mean the data is the data and it really is just obvious, but...the whole point here was that pyschic observer wanted to rely on local police reports. He took a lot away from some pretty standard press commentary and discounted what people were saying, you know the standard "its not happening" move. Turns out it totally is happening, the same local police dept is in fact reporting data that it is happening. So if you would like to somehow theorize about the data and engage in discourse about the largest increase i can find in violent crime reporting over the course of two years, that happen to line up with the Biden admin and also line up with a known publicized massive influx of Haitans to the US and of course now we have an even more public personal accounts of things like pets getting killed, intimidation, property crimes, etc. Then you will have to present some really solid reasoning and data as to why smaller influxes during periods of stricter immigration controls would lead to delayed massive spikes in crime after a sustained downtrend would be the cause rather than large groups arriving during periods of large national influxes(think 10k hatians under texas bridge news reports) under an obvious lax administration that cavalierly does things like blame its own agents for fake whipping scandals. I look forward to all of the data you will present. Because thats how this works. You took your one shot at this without studying the data and were wrong. You dont get a second chance to be lazy and try and make somebody else do the work. Or you can just be you and.... But trump! -

Really happy you brought that up. From 2017-2020 it went down 18%. From beginning of 2021-2022 it went up 110% Thanks tim! -

https://cde.ucr.cjis.gov/LATEST/webapp/#/pages/explorer/crime/crime-trend If you select springfield Ohio police department reporting aka "local police reports" you will see in the last three years of available data VIOLENT crime has skyrocketed. Not just property crime. -

"His office says community hospitals are spending up to 50 thousand dollars a month in translation services. About 40 new students arrive in the district every week - many of whom don’t speak English." "The Springfield Police told NPR that while property crime has increased in recent years in line with national trends, there is no evidence connecting this rise to Haitian migrants" "It will be good in the long run for our economy. It's just this transition period that I hope we can make it through. Can we make it through to the other side, to the benefits?" Even in the NPR propaganda piece they give you enough tidbits to understand how crappy the place is getting and how overwhelmed services are. It is always this long term promise. -

Notice how badly she needs the closure first though. It can't just be that they die. She needs them to say good bye. That's how you know it's a woman posting. That is why you always get to bang your ex one last time. Same mentality. It's weird.

I always thought Macy Gray was such an overrated artist and had such a grating voice. Enough to drive you mad. This makes more sense now.

Lol. I cant wait for holding parents accountable to become the norm. After about six months when thousands of extra black people are in jail we will get to hear all about how the system is becoming more racist.

So strangely enough even after the group of people that "were living" in the apartment held a "protest" saying there were no gangs...Aurora police have now in fact arrested several venezuelans, confirmed they are gang members, and turned them over to ICE. Oh and also those apartment dwellers, turns out they were just part of a group that is paid by a charity to go around and protest. Lol. My god this whole thing is the strangest. -
10 million dollars is not a large investment. If these people create so many hits and so many views isnt this more just an example of a profitable company funded by foreigners? The difference here seems to be the fact that these people are right wing. I mean if other companies overpay people for influence, that is all just brushed off. This all seems way too convenient. Right on the heels of an actual chinese spy having heavy influence in the democratic party, hey everybody look here, look at russia and MAGA.

We call for stuff to be done every day. It is your kind that doesnt want to. It is your alex soros taint licking DAs that you vote for that cause this kind of stuff on the regular. It is only when a school gets shot up by a white kid that you decide you want to take action and even then, the only action you want to take is to take away one rifle. That's not action. That's just a circle jerk. That's a bunch of dems hopping online and virtue signaling to each other. Oooooooh look at me I want to ban AR 15s. Oh sweet so do I. Yeah man we rock!!! Best part about it is we wont offend any black people with this stance and we can be allies! Yay we are not bigots POCs will finally accept us! -

It doesnt even matter. The rate is meaningless. They want you to climb into that rabbit hole. "Does bringing in illegal immigrants increase crime against american citizens?" Is the only question that matters. And we know the answer is undeniably, Yes! This is an inarguable fact. All you have to do to prove that it is true is find one crime. But instead republicans get suckered into this debate where democrats manipulate numbers left and right. They use data that includes the worst areas of MS and LA and MD and DC and they use it to call middle class people living in areas where crime is a tiny fraction of those places, bigots and xenophobes. Why wont you let hector into your community?!?! You bigot he is less likely to commit crime than an american! I mean not americans in your subdivision or your community or even the community up the way, but still less likely than americans!!! Well also not less likely if we actually take out the fact that immigrant on immigrant crime is more likely to go unreported and unsolved, but whatever, those are just details you bigot! Well also we have like no data on illegals so like getting fingerprints and video and dna and stuff is not as useful so like he could be not even hector, but shut up already, just let Hector live here already. Guys like tim are trash. They personally benefit from cheap labor and other flow through benefits and so they lie and manipulate to make it look like there is nothing to be worried about. They also personally benefit when real estate development happens to house all these illegals or government money flows in via loans to buy properties from them at inflated prices. Or it could be as simple as they get guaranteed govt rent from vouchers. Their friends that are aldermen and city planners also benefit as palms get greased and local governments grow and TIFF funded projects replicate. They live in gated areas with golf courses eventually and blame you for your car getting stolen because you bought a kia. Ghouls. All of them.
