She laughed about getting evidence thrown out which led to getting the guy off.

She also speaks very fondly of the whole ordeal.
The real issue here is that a crime lab tested something for blood, confirmed what was suspected, but then threw away the sample. They had the results, but no longer had the piece of underwear.
Now one can understand that throwing away the piece of underwear is problematic and one can even support that the results should be discarded as they can't be replicated.
But that isn't a funny ordeal or a light hearted one. That should be something that would torment a person with a conscience.
