Overall good movie, but I didn't like the inclusion of the Brown Wizard Radigast (sp?) In the book, they hint at Gandalf's adventure with the Necromancer (that's why he leaves the group at Mirkwood) to go fight this new menace, so it is "in" the book, but I didn't like Radigast. I believe the battle with the Necromancer is part of the Untold Tales or whatever they're called. I never read those, mostly because they weren't written by J.R.R. Tolkien. They were written by his son Christopher. One of my professors in college new J.R.R. Tolkien (and C.S. Lewis) personally and said that Christopher Tolkien was an ass and butured the senior Tolkien's vision of Middle Earth. Anyway, the movie was good and I can't wait to see the other two.

So what level qualifies for a "greyback" now-a-days? How old does your id have to be or is it based soley on how frequently you hang out here and how cool you are...well, no one here is really cool, but you get the point?

Who is the Saint's #3 WR? Anyone know anything about Joe Morgan? They guy who made some big plays last preseason, then got injured and placed on IR. How'd he do this preseason? Is he the #3?

I'm considering cutting the cable cord and watching TV via streaming video. I have a Wii, but was wondering if there are better options for watching it? My TV's are 7 and 3 years old respectively and do not have wireless capabilities. What are the best ways to watch streaming video on your television?

I always thought the Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson show sucked big time...even with the brief boob action.

Can any of you toothless shitbags recommend a kickass book to read?
Juggernauts replied to kutulu's topic in The Geek Club
"Every Dead Thing" by John Connolly and basically all of his Charlie Parker books. This is the first one. If you like ghost stories, he also wrote Nocturns which has a lot of creepy short stories in it. -
I think it's bigger douche move to not use the right "too" in your post.

High school: none College: I threw the javelin. My pick up line to girls was: "Hey baby. Wanna come up to my room and checkout my javelin? No seriously...I havea javelin." It never worked.

Wolverine was my favorite. I still read them. I have every issue of his main series ever printed. Then then I subscribed to the Wolverine:Origins. Then the main Wolvering became Dark Wolverine about his son and I cancelled that. Then they did Wolverine Weapon X which I subscribed to. Now they're back to just Wolverine, which I have once again subscribed to. So bottom line is I'm a loser, BUT, I'm a loser with all the issues of the main Wolverine comic lines.

This could be the greatest thread of all time!!!! I'm loving it! Wish I could contribute some hilarity to it, but alas, I can only commend everyone for their stellar work! -
Yes. That was it. Excellent place to eat.

I still have this game for my original NES. I should bust it out and play it sometime, though since I've lost the map that came with it, it may be impossible to play.

I visited Denver a few years back. It was great. There was a restaurant we went to that was awesome! I can't remember the name of it, but it was featured on Man vs Food recently. They have awesome steaks, but you can also get other types of meat like bison, osterich, alligator, all kinds of weird stuff. It's a great place and I highly recommend it. Look it up on the Man vs Food website.

Why? Faulk and Bettis are above him IMO. I'd even put Terrel Davis above Martin. He won 2 Superbowls and rushed for over 2,000 yds in one season. If not for injuries shortening his career he'd have been a lock. Now I doubt he even gets in.

Yes, but with a bunch of rehashed old songs. Where's the new stuff?

The Beatles. What have they done lately...really?

What's the best free turn based strategy game on the internets?
Juggernauts replied to Chronic Husker's topic in The Geek Club
On Kongregate.com there's a game called Lord of the Ages. It's a real time strategy game based in in medival times. You're a lord trying to build your kingdom. Build armies, invade others. It's free, but if you want to grow faster you can pay to move along faster. I've been playing the free version and while you have to be patient, its kinda fun. Let me know if you're interested in playing and maybe we can form an alliance. -
Lucky!
