    Flex: Caddy vs Hakeem?

any insight on this? Caddy is the clear #1 RB on the Bucs, facing CLE. Nicks appears to be the #1 WR for Eli, vs CAR. Caddy is probably the safer choice for a flex, he will roll up at least 70 yards right? Hakeem possible production is more variable but I feel he has more upside, catching a long TD from Eli say. I'm leaning towards Hakeem. Plus I'm in NYC and can watch him, though I the Giants

    Flex: Caddy vs Hakeem?

Thanks so much everyone. I took the consensus advice and started Caddy over Nicks despite my initial leanings. *sigh* the lesson is, make your own fockin decisions instead of looking for approval on the internets!

WDIS...driving myself crazy with my RBs

You think you're driving yourself crazy now--how will you feel when Rice outperforms the others and is sitting on your bench because you got cute. Of the other three, pick one of either Jackson or Foster--Bradshaw up against Carolina's run defense may not give you all that much production. Thanks for mine btw

Shonn Greene, Ahmad Bradshaw, Jamaal Charles?

Jets fan here-- Greene will have his nice weeks, but go with Charles over Greene this week. T Jones will not threaten Charles' production, don't worry. Please see mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=369566
  6. Jets fan here. I don't see Greene getting a TD, he doesn't get check-downs thrown his way, and if he gets more than 70 yards vs BAL it'll be a good night. LT may have the better night actually. I think Greene will be a nice RB option over the season but not feeling it for Week 1. Can't speak much to P. Thomas, but if you expect more than 7 points from him than may as well well go with him. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=369566

    Which 2 should I Start?

I agree. Miami will be running all day on Buffalo, so even with the split with Brown, Ricky could break off a couple of big runs. And I wouldn't want to rely on Favre to Berrian at this point, in NO.

    QB Help please

I like Flacco this year, but not week 1 vs. the crazy Jets D and the coach who used to face him every week in practice. Go with Eli, who will probably haev to throw vs. CAR who are good against the run. Can you help me? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=369566

    J. Best

I'm starting him (vs CHI) over Caddy (vs CLE) as my RB2.

    Jahvid Best is nasty!

Brooklyn. (Jets fan) But I know a good offense when I see one.

    Jahvid Best is nasty!

In fact I went QB/WR, then RB, then another WR. Like this: 1.09 - A Rodgers 2.02 - M Austin 3.09 - J Charles 4.02 - G Jennings At 5.09, I was praying Foster would fall, but he went earlier in the 5th dammit. So, 5.09 - J Finley 6.02 - C Williams 7.09 - J Best is somehow still there, whew! 8.02 - H Nicks 9.09 - T Owens Then Stafford as my backup QB, added D Mason and Hightower. So I feel good at QB, WR, and TE.

    Jahvid Best is nasty!

I really hope so, my RBs look like this J. Charles, Caddy Williams, J. Best, T. Hightower this is a 10-team non-ppr league RBs are my weakness, but if Best and Charles fullfill their potential I'll be

    Wayne, Calvin or Miles

I was confronted with this very choice in the second round of my draft last night, and picked Austin. I think Calvin would have been my second choice, for the reasons stated in the post above me. Wayne has nowhere to go but down, in my mind. If things go well you won't regret picking him, but why not roll with one of the younger guys who won't wear down and/or share the load late in the season come playoff time.

    Arian Foster...

Thanks for the replies guys-- Actually he's a Patriots fan, the focker. (I'm a Jets fan myself) Did you notice I have Jahvid Best too, I almost think he's 2A and Caddy is 2B. Another reason to offer Jennings for Foster is that I have Rodgers and Finley already. You think if he takes it I should do it huh? Jennings could have a big year, I feel like he's due a for a rebound. Even with Driver and Finley there. Is Foster really that much of an upgrade, or is the hype train out of control around here.

    Arian Foster...

Drafting from the 9th spot I blew it not taking him at 4.02... he went at 5.05. I would like to work a trade for him, here's my team, any suggestions what I can offer for him? Or should I stand pat. EDIT: How about Jennings for Foster straight up? I don't know. My team: QB Aaron Rodgers, GB QB RB Jamaal Charles, KC RB P RB Cadillac Williams, TB RB RB/WR Jahvid Best, Det RB WR Miles Austin, Dal WR WR Greg Jennings, GB WR P TE Jermichael Finley, GB TE P D/ST Saints D/ST, NO D/ST K Neil Rackers, Hou K Bench Hakeem Nicks, NYG WR Bench Tim Hightower, Ari RB Bench Derrick Mason, Bal WR Bench Matthew Stafford, Det QB Bench Terrell Owens, Cin WR Bench Mike Williams, TB WR Bench Austin Collie, Ind WR P His team: QB Matt Schaub, Hou QB RB Frank Gore, SF RB RB Shonn Greene, NYJ RB RB/WR Arian Foster, Hou RB WR Steve Smith, NYG WR P WR Michael Crabtree, SF WR P TE Zach Miller, Oak TE D/ST Texans D/ST, Hou D/ST K Mason Crosby, GB K Bench Joe Flacco, Bal QB Bench Pierre Garcon, Ind WR Bench Mike Wallace, Pit WR Bench Thomas Jones, KC RB Bench LaDainian Tomlinson, NYJ RB Bench Dexter McCluster, KC WR Bench Laurent Robinson, StL WR

Just completed draft from 3 spot!

let's see-- Rice in the 1st, Austin and Calvin at 2/3 (whichever order), Foster at 4, Finley at 5, Cutler 6--or was it vice versa. I don't like Cutler personally which other QB was there--Flacco, Kolb, Rivers possibly? I like those better. Driver or S Holmes in the flex. It's a 10-team league right? You havee 3 studs, 4 if you count Finley probably. You are all set at RB, WR and TE. It's a good team.

    Drafting from 9 spot!

that's funny I just did a mock from the 9th spot and my first three picks were exactly the same. Ended up A Rodgers, R Moss, S Greene, P Thomas, A Bradshaw, S Moss, J Finley, et al. Pretty happy with it but weak at RB. I really wanted LT to go with Greene but someone nabbed him first.
  18. But what about a trade. Someone must have been hurting for RBs... Seems to me if you draft good value you either have someone to play or flex or else good trade material to fill your holes. Easier said than done though. I myself am not too good at trades.
  19. To me this is the obvious response. You picked RB, now it's the second round and the value is there with another RB but you force yourself to take a WR for the sake of... avoiding this same situation in the third round.

    Official Pats vs Jets Thread

Now hang on. Did you watch the game? Jets looked very good.
  21. sozopol

    Matt Forte

Well, I said above you can't bench your first rounder unless you somehow have another top RB to plug in... well I grabbed Buckhalter off the WW and I'm starting (vs. Clev) and kickin Forte to the bench. Not that Buckhalter is "top" necessarily but I like his chances this week to go into double digits compared to Forte. My league is not PPR by the way. So I guess I'm saying Forte fails the DBYS theory this week and I'm playing matchups instead...

    JETS talking smack to PATS

Jets could win this game. Did you see them annihilate the Texans in Houston? Sanchez will probably throw two picks but if they can bounce back from them with lunatic defense and solid offense they can stay in it. David Harris will be all over Brady. Something that could really hurt the Jets: the devastating screen passes that neutralize the blitz. Faulk or whoever can rip off chunks in that situation. Sanchez showed poise and mobility to avoid sacks. But then again this is Bellichek so devious schemes could take Sanchez by surprise. Should be a great game, meadowlands will be rocking
  23. sozopol

    Matt Forte

I took Forte from the 5-spot in my draft. I think you have to play your 1st round pick for at least another week, look for a bounce-back game, hope the Bears stick with the running game into the second half this time. Unless you went RB-heavy or did a trade and have a really good option, to put Forte on the bench. You're actually in decent shape with McFadden and Rice. I would not bench him for K Smith or LJ though. I'm going with Forte, M Barber and a WR in the flex. (I have Marshawn waiting in the wings)

Which TE is is the best option this week

Yes let's talk TEs. I've got Heath Miller, but he seems like a disappointment-- they like him as a blocker and didn't he have a drop last week? Then there is Scheffler, Scaife, Royal, Fasano. I'm thinking Fasano could be Chad's "safety valve" (which, when it comes to Chad, means his primary target frankly). Scheffler is sharing TE targets with whats-his-name; Fasano is platooning as well actually. VY targeted Scaife but will Collins? Another intriguing guy on my WW is McMichaels. This site has him projected for a TD and 50 yards or so, so that counts for something, but it's the Rams for chrissake, vs. that Giants D. Any thoughts?
