  1. Punks that wear their pants half way down their ass (or sometimes entirely below their ass)....

Black teenagers that walk across the crosswalk in slow motion to intentionally make cars wait. Ok, that may sound racist but so far about 112 out of 112 times I've seen it from black kids. Please God, may I run them over just once?

    Traffic.

    Peerless Price.

  2. What's up man? Long time no talk. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Hey JK. All is well here - unfortunately the company I've worked for for the past couple years is not down with several hours a day of internet surfing so it's put me even further into lurker status. Had a little excitement today though as President Dubya and the Terminator visited my company today and I was able to shake both of their hands. I asked Dubya if he'd like to come into the office and post something to the fftoday faithful and all he said was, "Giants Fan is a focking poosay!!!" -- then he walked off and boarded his helicopter.

  3. I had it done about 10 years ago and I too think it was some of the best money evah spent. I think I paid about 3 grand or $3500 as I decided to opt for the more expensive, more experienced laser doc versus the guy with the glasses and the pen protector that just graduated from Devry. It was simple and painless and well worth it. Keep in mind though, that it cannot correct for normal "aging" of the eyes, so eventually your perfect vision will be unperfect. Also get the warranty in case someone bumps the doc's elbow while he's got the exacto blade on your eyeball.

    HTH

  4. Here's my sitch...

Wife and I are first-time buyers here in the real estate mecca called California. For those who have been in hibernation, that means you spend billions and billions of dollars on a home that's the size of most people's bathrooms in other states. But I digress. We are half way through our 30 day escrow on our first house in southern California, and getting close to locking in our rates. I've tried to "comparison shop" the rates our broker is quoting us, but it's been difficult matching apples to apples (I've used sites like bankrate.com, etc). Can anyone out there in the mortgage know tell me what you'd consider competitive interest rates for the following types of loans?

    Purchase price: $540K-ish, 5% down

1st loan (80%): 5 yr or 7 yr ARM (LIBOR) Interest Only

    2nd loan (15%): Closed End 2nd Balloon 30/15

Credit scores are both 800+ :headbanger:

We plan on another move or a refi within 5-7 years, thus the reason for Interest Only and the Balloon 30/15. Oh, and also because housing in so Cal costs a focking fortune.

Any suggestions, help, insight, honest opinions, etc. from any financial geeks out there would be much appreciated.

  5. I vote for fock no. If anything, I'd offer them a simple verbal tip like "don't eat yellow snow", or "don't cook bacon nekkid".

Speaking of tips, it is a tip to write the actual tip in on the tip line... once years ago at a sports bar, I decided I'd have one last beer before calling it a long night of gettin' tanked. Bought a beer for me and a buddy and the total was like $7.00. I write down "$10.00" as the total on the credit card slip, which would have included a 3 buck tip. Weeks later I see this charge on my credit card statement for $17.00. Apparently I had written that "$10.00" on the tip line and not the total line. So the focking waitress assumes "hey, he just tipped me $10.00 for those two beers". I got focked. I think I brought it up weeks later when I had gone back in there, but didn't press the matter much since I was being an idiot in the first place.
