Not to mention the fact that John Kerry's military service was mocked in 04, but we're now told that McCain's is to be revered. I didn't like Kerry much, but what a crock of shit. Kerry had the sack to come home and exercise the constitutional right that he fought for, whereas McCain is a "patriotic follower" who doesn't question anything. No wonder so many Americans like him......

Yes, he did. Multiple times. That doesn't matter, however, because he has an "R" next to his name. I was repulsed by Clinton's actions and am repulsed by McCain's. Too bad that most of the country doesn't feel the same way.

If you say that you are pro-life........be sure to define whether you're one of those whose "pro-life" stance ends at birth, or if it's from contraception until death. Thanks in advance. By the way, I'm pro-choice. I absolutely abhor the practice of abortion and hope that it never happens, but it is not the government's right to tell us what we can and can't do. I'm also one of those who is actually against government intrusion in our lives......not like those who say it, but then support things like the Patriot Act, banning gay/lesbian marriages, or banning abortion.

I respect what McCain what he did and what he went through in that camp......but I guess that my definition of what makes a "real man" and an "American hero" are a tad more involved. Maybe my standards are too high.

It's pretty sad that these candidates have to pander to religious groups about virtually irrelevant issues like abortion. Hey, I don't like abortion, either........but the fact that so many people vote on this issue, plus gay rights, alone.........is pretty scary and sad.

Indiana is full of religious zealots and extreme neo-cons, so you can use the French Lick line all you want........but there certainly are people in this state who don't fall into that category. For the record, I support the death penalty, as long as eye-witness testimony is taken out of the process because it's been proven to be virtually ineffective. Anyone who's ever taken an intro to Psych class knows that. That saves an assload of money all the way around, make the process much quicker, and guarantees that there are no wrongful executions. It also makes sure that we don't delve into this 19th century style of vigilante justice that you seem to be promoting, which is obviously dangerous and absurd.

Eh. Stayed up until the US athletes came out, then got tired of waiting for the lighting. They did some amazing stuff, but enough already. Yeah, it's impressive, China has lots of money and is more powerful, disciplined, and intelligent than the United States is.........I already knew that.
